Whether or not you like goals might have more to do with your personality than with the actual setting of goals. I see goals as a process. 1- Choose a goal. 2- Study how other people achieved that goal. 3- Practice the principle behind the skills to achieve the goal. 4- Do it! Such as- 1- I choose to date a pretty girl. 2- Study the human mating process from eye contact to sex. Study what the different dating gurus have to say about dating. Learn the principles behind dating and learn what works for you. 3- Begin to practice talking/interacting with pretty girls and see everything as a learning experience and that there is no failure. If you get laughed at, laugh "with" them and learn what you did wrong. 4- Use what you have learned in your practice sessions with pretty girls and go ask a pretty girls out on dates until you get a date with a pretty girl.

I was just listening to a CD on Taoism and the guy mentioned some Taoist legends have that Taoisms started 12,000 years ago by the "Lords of Reflected Light" and that they came from the high places. Anybody heard of this?

I read The Egyptian Book of the Dead, does that count?

If this is really a seroius question and your not Trolling you might want to search the many, many Kun Lun threads here. Objections have been raised, people have already been offended, there was rudeness given and had by all, and it was just starting to quiet down again. I dont mean to offend you but I just wanted to let you know that this subject has been done to death here. So much so that the many great Kun Lun people here are going to go to another site so they dont have to get insulted everytime they want to talk about thier Kun Lun practice. Just thought you should know...

I could be wrong but thats why we talk about these things, to learn. 19December1994 I felt the need to practice some of my Taoist sexual arousal techniques. Later I woke from sleep shaking. My teeth began to chatter and my tongue curled back involuntarily. My body shook for a short while with what seemed to be electro-static energy. During that time I had little control over my actions. Fifty-three days after the first circulation of energy, another one hit me but this one was more natural and without any sexual help, I experienced a sudden, violent inhale during meditation. My stomach simultaneously sucked inward. My body shook. Then my teeth chattered. Next my tongue curled back to touch my palate impossibly far back into my throat. Electro-static energy seemed to fully circulate through my body, up my spine and down my front. The circulating energy was like liquid lightning. It was only slightly painful.

I grew up on a farm and we had pigs. They were the favorite animals because they were so clean and happy/friendly. We built the pen with a stream running next to it and they would bathe everyday. Each one had its own name and came when called and all us kids cried come bacon time...

I haven't seem much conflict between different Taoists, except here a little bit. Being disrespectful in a funny way however is a staple of Taoist stories. Maybe those disconcerted by the disrespect in the Taoist tradition are really just disconcerted by the lack of humor? So a Taoist, Buddhist and Confucian walk into a bar....

1-The pin prick thing just sounds like nomal muscle stuff if your not used to standing practice. I put that in the same catagory as muscle shaking from standing a long time. 2- It took me a year of at least 4hr a day of nei gong and qi gong to open up what I believe was the Microcosmic Orbit.

I wasn't too big on mirror image but I told my people about it and encouraged it. When I taught I had the beginner people who just learned the 24 Form and were feeling a bit too proud, do the form with their eyes closed. There is no better beginner lesson of how little you know about balance, the form or your level of ability than by doing it with your eyes closed, stumbling through the form and ending up finishing the form 20 feet from where you started. Funny for the teacher too.
