  1. Killing me softly

Does face yoga get rid of those lines on your face from the pillow in the morning? I shave my head so I get them all over my beautiful bald head. I might need to learn that facial yoga.
  2. oops. Delete Me

How funny is it that a post that says oops delete me has almost 500 views?
  3. Was that a joke about the soul sucking a cow to then give it to a person? Tell me that was a joke.
  4. Ron Paul

Give me a link to that thread. I dont remember that at all.
  5. immortality process

I think they are all pretty rigid. Where does it say in any Taoist alchemy text that you get do-overs or that the timing is flexable? I think I have read every one that is in English and they are all very rigid in their timing. We need someone to complete the last 9 year phase and then tell us whats really going on.
  6. immortality process

    You fail.

Welcome to the DaoHobos. Sorry I missed you when you first posted.
  10. Mediation = Lucid Dreaming?

I was taught there are 2 kinds of meditation and in your cultivation practice you will use both. Imagine a wall covered in dots: If you concentrate on just one dot to the exclusion of all the other dots then that active meditation. This type includes all types of guided meditations and it is used to raise your energy from your center to specific places like the third eye, top of the head, hands or where ever. If you instead allow yourself to take in all the dots at once and do your best to not focus on any one dot then that is passive meditation. This includes all types of mindfulness meditaions and is used to draw energy from your surroundings into your center.
  11. Qinway Qigong

It is unfortunate that some people of the west are unable to identify a true master from a charlatan. Sadly, she was unrecognized & underappreciated by the spiritually shallow mind that tends to permeates the western culture. Do you know what a bigot is? Well, if someone says Jesus was preached in the east but they have spiritually shallow minds there and are unable to identify a true master from a charlatan. That guy would be very bigoted. Paul how long have you been around a qigong, 3 years at most? Pesonally, I spent about 20 years involved with qigong, taijiquan and many, many Chinese masters. Trust me when I say they are human just like anyone else. But you have found your guru so nothing I can say will convince you otherwise. On a postive note the site is much prettier since the last time I saw it. It still looks like a scam though. Impossible claims, the elevation of a person to near god status and huge dollar amounts equals scam in my book. Your "article" just restated the minor claims on the site. Is that it? If it is then I stand by my initial review. It's a scam.

Welcome back. Sounds like you have a nice life there. Permaculture sounds interesting too.
  16. Is this for real? Anybody ever heard of this place? http://www.geocities.com/taocommunity/ TAO COMMUNITY AT THE TEMPLO VEGETAL SAKROAKUARIUS IN COLOMBIA 17 YEARS OF PERSECUTION AGAINST A PEACEFUL COMMUNITY JUNGLES OF ETASHTITLAN (AMERICA) We will set out in brief words to elaborate a summary, up to these days, of 17 years of persecution with attacks of all kinds and another number of actions perpetrated against the Taoists that up to this date have left already close to a hundred corpses of Taoists; this without counting the hundreds, that without being Taoists, have been victims because they were confused with Taoists or for the belief that amongst them there were Taoists. Since in order to elaborate a total chronicle of this bloody persecution we would need perhaps several thousand pages, we will make a brief synthesis and will cite some events, of the most recent at least. In one of the Taoist monasteries, in 1993, a series of studies were elaborated by the Taoist community with regards to a geographical zone where there would be organized, after the respective legalization, a Taoist monastery. Also in the aforementioned study, after having acquired cartographic maps issued by the Agustin Codazzi Geographic Institute, which is a state run Institute, it was verified, as it can still be verified, that the mentioned area does not correspond to any sort of forestry reserve and much less to any buffer zone, given that the buffer zones of Sanctuaries and National parks are not legislated in Colombia; it was established that there is a forestry reserve but it is located several kilometers from what is today the Templo Vegetal Sakroakuarius. In 1994 the arrangements were already concluded for the acquisition of the properties that in quality of a purchase were acquired, with others taken on lease, arrangements accorded with the owners, whom by heredity had acquired the properties from their ancestors. Upon the arrival of the Taoist monks to this place, after some days of exploring the region, they discovered, not on the acquired property, but in the zone corresponding to the Forestry reserve, a gigantic poppy plantation, whose surface surpassed 30 hectares, with hundreds of thousands of poppy plants. Upon finding this they immediately communicated it to the Temple Abbots and to the rest of the administration of the Temple, since our doctrine is for the absolute regeneration of the human being, in all its aspects, not in a theoretical way only but in practice as well, delivering to each being a message of hope, of health and of life, totally contrary to what is produced by narcotics, which is thousands of crazed people every year, besides the rivers of blood that due to them are produced. The Temple administration ordered the destruction, in its totality, of those crops, activity that lasted approximately 8 days in which the Taoist monks reduced those plants to diminutive pieces. Some days after this the persecution worsened, for this event was its basis, since years before in another monastery called Geoakuarius the siege had been constant, to the point where Navy helicopters constantly over flew almost every day, carrying out maneuvers suggesting that a possible attack was imminent, causing anxiety, desperation, fear and dread in the hundreds of women, men, children and elderly people that inhabit the monastery.
  17. onebir intro

Eight energies are ward off, roll back, press, push down, split, take, elbow and shoulder. They answer the 8 angles of attack basically. The five elements are step forward, step backward, step left, step right and hold to the center. Sorry, I meant the major styles of Chen, Yang, and Wu that I learned forms for. I never learned a Sun style form but thats a major one too. If you want to see a video of a version of the eight I'll post it in my personal practice section here- http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?showtopic=4318

    Welcome to the Bums.
  22. hi there

    Welcome to the Bums!
  23. This is my path.

Oh, look I joined just before I failed. What this thread fails to mention is that I spent the week of Nov 5th, my birthday sick in bed with the mid-life crisis and the alchemy failure doldrums. I did buy a Charger as a consolation prize. Since then I got fat, lazy and a little bitter. But now I have my second wind and I am undergoing a re-fit of my spirit to my body. Good times.... To all those who read this and dont see a reason to join because you can see our discussion area, you really should anyway. Most of us keep practice journals and you cant read them unless you join and post a little into. After that your in like Flint.
  24. Taobums just turned 1,000!

Ooooo...thanks for reminding me. Now I am going to go back and see who welcomed me.
