"..awakening means to transcend all hypnotic trance states/mind realms and reach the ultimate." We function by thinking, and to think, we have to pull out (remember) some data to construct a thought, and act accordingly. A hypnotic trance state limits our access to memories. Consider someone hypnotised to believe he or she is a cat. Although the acquired memory of being human is there, it could not be pulled out, and all the thoughts about acting like a cat is justified until one awakens. Remember dreams, and how you forget your awake self while dreaming. I believe all these realms of astral, mental and physical planes to be different hypnotic trance states, where we inhabit according to our vessel's energy holding capacity which dictates our access to knowledge. This capacity can be increased in various ways, like meditation, chi kung, prayers etc., by also strenghtening our spitiual core so that when we pass over dead or still alive, we remember our real self and continue practicing, this time with the help of high level practitioners of that plane, who might be the immortals of some practice tradition, like FPCK,

In my experience, the exercises practically allow sensing and operating in astral level, where a much broader info can be "remembered" about everything manifested. There seems to be helpers which I am still blind to see, but I started feeling them by means of sounds, and also like a colored mist around when doing the meds. I am becoming lucid in my dreams, generally in some sad miserable places, probably facing my accumulations. Their priority seems to be cleaning up to be able to awaken in a higher manifested reality. This cleanup also brings health. But awakening means to transcend all hypnotic trance states/mind realms and reach the ultimate. These exercises provide the wisdom leg, allowing to operate in higher dimensions. Other leg is compassion/love, you have to bring it with you☺ I am so grateful to all who made me able to practice this.

Consider a hypnotised person say, he thinks he is a donkey. It never occurs to him that something may be wrong with him. He behaves and justifies himself through a set of beliefs - data - and feels very free willed, with all the things he can do in a situation as a donkey personality. To will, we have to think, to think we have to remember. To remember, we need to access data/memories. Well, data seems to be accessible with set of rules and is provided with a limit. Yes there is freedom to will within this set.

The question I have, is it fully yours after attaining it since it is an outside intervention to your system. Does it really cultivate your own wisdom to be practically useful on your path, aside from experiencing some higher manifestations still bound in dimensions. With all respect, I am just curious.

I gave up even trying any form of lotus long ago :-) Sure it looks cool and might give you some extra confidance boost, but.GMDW sits on a chair while teaching and demonstrating other sitting moving meds on DVDs and for some exercises advises only crossing the legs while sitting, not mentions any lotus pos. I agree the ideal form to be half lotus for Fpck, and Sifu Terry is teaching awesome unwatered pure stuff. But I at least, tried desperately to train for that cool position for long time, and concluded I am wasting my time. All I got was pain which distracted me more than mind chatter on meditations, and pain cut back my practice time. How can you forget your body while in discomfort and pain? I am not that kind of a warrior :-) For over 5 years I am practicing sitting cross legged leaning to a cushion on my lowerback, and experiencing pretty strong effects. Maybe, ability to sit in lotus comes after leg channels fully open up I don't know, but I improved a lot with the meds in that position. You might try the help and techniques of Hata Yogins for lotus sitting, their techniques are good, but it did not work on me. You may be luckier and flexible than me. Happy practicing

I always felt worn out and needed rest after the fpck meditations for 4 years. The need to rest diminished a little in time but sleep requirement stayed with me. I suspect it is more of a construction thing on certain brain centers than a simple knock out, based on what I experience while meditating.

I am almost 50, living in Istanbul, and am much attracted to the basic core of all religions (without their dogma) , doing yoga and meditation for 25 years, techniques attained only by reading. I just cannot help being flooded with love and compassion, and attracted to being ME , not the person, but the perceiver who watches all this wonderful multi media show. I avoid all advertised teachers around my region when I met some of their students, and felt really sad and disappointed when I saw they were after something they were told to exist, and are still very blind and confused. I decided to be alone and discreet on my way. Then internet came and I realized that I am able filter out the gold from all the junk out there. Your forum has a LOT of LIGHT I needed in the middle of the giant dark storm I found myself in where I can borrow some warmth and some extra batteries to keep this show going. I am really grateful to you meet you all, Cihan

Hi FredericIdeal posture for Monk Holding Peach is officially described as a wide stance, knees locked and feet at 45 degrees to the chest. Weight on the feet is up to the expertise :-) Below is my experience on Monk Holding Peach if you are interested. It is a challenging posture, which I struggled to maintain by some force, but it wasn't fun and I was only feeling pain, especially on knees when they were locked as well as my hips and shoulders. I wondered why my right knee refused to lock when standing in symmetry, then discovered my right leg to be longer :-) it was painful and very distracting adding the back and shoulder pains after 5 minutes from the funnel mudra. Other two standing meds and Bending the Bows teach and prepare the torso for this with the help of Monk Serves wine series which exercise shoulders and higher back. After my skeleton was adusted to sinking in standing the pains disappeared, but it took 5 years for me to practice Monk Holding Peach again with ease. If you have any joint pains, you are standing/doing incorrectly or your body is not ready. To stand correctly, all body parts should be seasoned by different exercises for some time. Bending the Bows worked wonders in my case. Happy Practicing.

Accidentally I discovered taking vitamin c (of the effervescent types) before the moving exercises also add noticeable different feelings during the meditations. I dropped them when my flu passed. I don't know if they contribute anything extra when they are combined. A little warning about intensive usage of ginger : Some people like me have allergic reactions to it. Five years ago I started using ginger as advised in the posted vid of GMDW. One day, while I was doing Monk Holding Peach, (wrongly dwelling on a hypnotic trance state instead of being a pure watcher) I was bitten by a snake form on my lower leg in that state :-) After the med, my leg got red and swollen like a ham sausage and stayed like that for a week. Only logical explanation was I had developed an allergic reaction, and it passed once I dropped taking ginger. I am not using ginger on my meds after the trauma :-) and still practice Monk Holding Pearl with very good effects. Maybe it was not ginger, may be it was some kind of warning to me I don't know I just wanted to share it. I am not against or pro Ginger and vitamin C. Best.

I came across the positioning of the tongue 5 years after practicing FPCK with the tongue in soft palate and did some research and contemplation of my own. There are actually 3 positions, water/ soft palate switching the front channel to the central channel, also nourishing all internal organs + enabling one to do some "spine" work, like deep meditations. Fire place is at the hard palate on top, which I suspect what they call as "roof of the mouth" which GMDW is always instructing to put the tip of tongue on his videos. There is also the wind place where every one in this forum talks about to be told to keep their tongues at, behind the top teeth. I did not come across any official reference about this, I may have missed it, but I was so serious to find it out, so I tried all the positions. All have different effects as they switch to different places. For martial arts, limbic system is a priority, wind place connects front and back channels, boosting external organs and make me feel lighter both in the mind and body while doing any moving exercises, but mind chatter is literally boosted. I am guessing all who came into this system with a prior martial art experience accepts this position without any further thinking. Fire place kind of balances both internal and external, and in my experience boosts the root. It combines stillness with the movement and reduces mind chatter considerably. Water place I believe is where we will all end up after a certain practice time, as it allows the spine with all these chakras to act directly, bypassing intellect and allowing our higher self to operate with more freedom in this environment. Tongue finds its correct position with respect to practice experience. It is very logical to begin with the wind/external and move on, if not told officially otherwise ☺ Cheers

One mistake I made in the beginning was coordinating the movements with in/out breath, because I was feeling the chi much better. After some cultivation, attention automatically broadens and covers the many processes of the mind, with breathing stopping on its own for some time during the movements. (documented to be one of the cornerstones of some jhana level in general meditation practice.) Only then I finally understood why Sifu Terry once told me to let the breath to its own, with no interference. Of course I may be very wrong, but following/regulating breathing aside opening and closing procedure is not a good friend of FPCK meditations after the preliminary stages . It may be much difficult to break this habit later on and maybe get pass through.

After stopping all other exercises and having done only Fpck since May 2016, minimum of 2 hours dayly, my body craves even afternoon naps, and something is webbing during sleep time in my brain, which I realized to have hindered its growth all this time by mixed practices. Sleep + regular Fpck practice without mixing with even other GMDW arts is a fast way to open up certain psychic centers is my current realization :-)

I used this kind for 4 years for meditation and also for FPCK.Only this silicone model seemed to work with me,blocking and muffling outside noises and revealing inner sounds. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/NMSAFETY-2-Pairs-Soft-Silicone-Corded-Ear-Plugs-Reusable-Hearing-Protection-Noise-Reduction-Earplugs-Protective-earmuffs/32441082143.html?spm=2114.30010308.3.19.eqqDnS&ws_ab_test=searchweb201556_0,searchweb201602_2_10017_507_401,searchweb201603_3&btsid=b7065828-c3d0-431b-ac9d-369f27674da8

Just let it go and open your heart. Heart is the tap of heavenly energies, which make us enjoy our life and evolve through love. If it is half open, we tend to live as a fighter, of which the lower centers are nouirishing the control freak within. Even GMDW is suffering serious health problems. Trust the above, enjoy, study and practice hard below. What is to happen will happen anyway.

I cannot pick a single one! Premilinary sitting med 50,10,50. Effects come after 15 mins, with literally dazzling inner white light, so my eyes squint as reflex.I recommend it for feeling the Dan tien as well. Bending the Bows. Kills fatigue, brings strength and lightness with wake up boner , again dazzling inner light around eyes while doing. Last of the advanced sitting med. Brings the most internal bluish fuzz between the brows. Monk Holding Pearl. Comfortable bluish-warm fuzzy feeling. After 15 minutes, gives the strength to pause mind chatter. I also find it to be a very efficient lying down meditation. Monk Holding Peach. Whitish alertness, again gives mind stopping strength.

Grossly speaking, all of the flying phonenix meditations I practice influence the middle space of frontal lobes and the center just inside the hairline on my forehead, as well as utilizing throat's ether and of course heating up the lower tan tien at first, after making a good earth connection. Tip of my tounge is very thingely and hot when connecting to upper palate. I am sure they are also attending the other chakras and centers, but they are not yet emphasized as these ones in my case. I used to do the meditations separately, also mixing them with other practices, but some wisdom at last manifested and I started doing them back to back with no mixing. This way the progress is much faster, and finally a bluish misty/sticky inner feeling/vision came. For the first time in 6 years, I felt it progressing rapidly. Maybe a wholistic approach to the system is a better way to comprehend.

FPCK stands for the name of this topic. Maybe I should edit my post to make it less confusing. There, I did...

I did not post it intending to discuss samyama, but to adress expectations like manifesting blue light in FPCK. :-)

I came across this: The fruit of yoga is found not in what happens during the practices themselves, but in how they affect the quality of our life.

Kuji in is a powerfull tool if you would like to use. Incorporate it into your daily meditation, a mantra is not mandatory. Climb up to the final mudra by starting from the first one and do them in order. The last mudra combines all the energies of the previous ones and forms a shield. Call that shield when necessary after you have some proffeciency. Warning: its a two way path which can push you into deep hell as well if you are not "clean" at heart, or had a drug issue in the past.
