  6. Are storms evil?

I agree with tai chi student. Although I do and have always love to experience a thunder storm, my father and I have always enjoyed them together. I also find a connection with that childhood fascination and this baguazhang that came to be a part of my lfie came from Tibetan thunder and lightning martial tradation.

  10. BaGua Help

This used to be a problem for me, every winter for like four winters in a row I "busted my ass" once per winter. Since 09 zero falls on ice or in mud. I have the advantage of being able to really practice mudstepping in actual mud. I would recommend training mud step on uneven ground, as that is why it glides with heel parallel to the ground, only slightly above it. This will result in more sensitive stepping, more feeling with the feet., A hillside is great as well. I just always finish on flat ground.
  11. I agree with both turtleshell and adept. Out of sight, out of mind is mindfulness, although mindfulness to me is the mind of no mind.
  12. Kuan Yin Magnetic Qigong

The Kuan Yin Magnetic Qigong title doesn't give the title justice, it goes so deep and I would imagine anyone would could pick up benefits from it if I could. However those animal frolics are still done for a reason as well, you know? It's like what does your body NEED? you know? The KYMQ will mos def UP your game energetically, spiritually, martially, is the best way I can put it. This came from Kunlun mountains originally, very very old, it works, bottom line, you will not be disappointed to make an investment. The five animal frolics are wonderful too.

  14. BaGua Help

Tung said that the mud step walking was more important that the martial arts. ...or that is what I have heard from more than one source. I love the crane stepping. MCO

Food for thought Mal! Great post. Aaron?
  17. What defines a Daoist?

To me it is seeing the world with clarity, as if through the eyes of a two year old. WU-using common sense and awareness, is what we strive to use. We learn to recognize the mental illusions that obscure our ideas, lives, views, etc. That is just a couple of ideas that I feel I have grasped from Taoism.
  18. sex appeal

Charisma is in the solar plexus. I agree with I am, there is so much beyond sex appeal and when i quit looking and thinking in that fashion a wonderful person found me and we are still an item. Don't give up hope, just BE YOU, ntf.
  19. seems the baguazhang is more effective working through one am. sleep from eight thirty to twelve. eight animal fixed postures walked after warm up. i like it!

  20. [HHC Study] Hua Hu Ching Chapter 5

" it's expression as the multi-universe in which there is no past, present or future. This is how an integral being deals with his mind." so the concept of this little snippet is to understand that to be "integral" there is only now?

A friend sent me this and it really clicked for me:If the velocity of an Electron orbiting the Nucleus of an Atom is being measured, then a "blind spot" is created and the Electron's position is hidden. If the position of an Electron orbiting the Nucleus of an Atom is being measured, then a "blind spot" is created and the Electron's velocity is hidden.
