  1. Not to be a sour pus, but check this out. http://buddhism.about.com/b/2010/08/03/buddha-boy-bahadur-bomjan-batterer.htm The so-called "Buddha Boy" of Nepal is under investigation for assaulting 17 local villagers who disturbed him while he was meditating. One report says Rom Bomjan and his attendants locked the villagers in a small room and kept them there overnight. Several of the alleged assaultees required medical attention. News stories say Ram Bomjan admits he and some of his attendants had assaulted the villagers, slapping them around and beating them with sticks. His story is that they climbed onto his meditation platform and mimicked him. "I was therefore forced to beat them," he allegedly said. According to Republica, Ram Bomjan also said "I took minor action against them after taking them under control when they came to disrupt my meditation. I let them go after they apologized." However, the villagers say they were beaten relentlessly even after they apologized. One man had a head injury that he said resulted from being hit with an axe handle. The villagers, who said they were just foraging for fruits and vegetables before they were assaulted, have filed formal complaints with the police. But news stories say the Buddha Boy has let it be known he cannot be bothered to attend a court hearing. Let us remember that people are innocent until proven guilty. But I did get a kick from comments by Todd Hartley in the Aspen Times, who notes that Ram Bomjan claims to have been fasting since 2005. "I know if I go more than about a half-hour without eating, I start to get cranky. If I somehow went five years without a snack, it's pretty much a given that I'd want to pummel somebody. Chances are most of you would, too," Hartley said. Time for a snack, I say.
  2. I have seen this, also seen the profits that it brings. The camera was not on him for 24/7.
  3. Ruthless Truth

RTer's know that self doesn't exist (or think they know) to them this is true and ultimate, as they made it so, and believe it to be so. They are Nothing Nowhere. That is not true from my perspective however. I know I do exist as well as not. Some know that they do exist as everything everywhere, and worry about nothing else. All of these can be true and false, depending on the perspective that is being spoken from. Ones reality is not always anothers reality. Can you be nothing nowhere? Certaintly, but that is not Buddha's path. Claiming it to be so is heresy. Please OP prove to me that I do not exist and show your methodology in an open forums that is not locked down as it is in the RT forums. Show it for all to see where it is free to be critiqued, so people know what they are in for! You can even bring in all your goonies, if you think that will help you. Yes this is a challenge, if you refuse, then you obviously have nothing of value to teach anyone.

Exactly, to know it it must be 1st hand information, it cannot be assumption or belief. Because someone else has claimed to know that, does that mean that you too know that? RTer's know that self doesn't exist (or think they know) to them this is true and ultimate, as they made it so, and believe it to be so. They are Nothing Nowhere. That is not true from my perspective however. I know I do exist as well as not. Some know that they do exist as everything everywhere, and worry about nothing else. 6. curious factoids of a spiritual pather

Above all else, do not believe what you are told. That is not knowing, only believing. I would prefer to remain ignorant than accept a false truth.
  7. Ruthless Truth

Plain and simple. If you don't exist, then there is nothing to know you don't exist. It's a paradox and you're a fool.

  9. Ruthless Truth

If one is aware that the ego that intercepts and owns credit, isn't the true self, or even true experience, that's as far as it needs to go. It is simply getting over yourself. RT is not teaching this. Their final realization is that "you don't exist" and "I don't exist" Which is not equivallent to "you doesn't exist", which isn't as absolute. This is obviously only half of the story as already explained by buddha. Tzu's intention here is nothing more than to prevent people from being engulfed in the endless nothingness that is at debate here. This is what is called cutting the root. One summons the kundalini through the IDA and DENIES him. This is how one becomes one with nothing. Of course for this to work the kundalini as to be at root, so they berate the spirit with uncouth mannerism's and un-loving nature. If one wishes to experience the void, one should have as much existence as possible accumulated and stored, that one may decide to turn around.
  10. You would also become inherently more sensitive to the energies that are already around you I would think.

This inquiry once completed isn't something that you may uninquire. I personally fallowed thier intructions and can personally say it is crap. It makes you feel dizzy, void, and numb. It took a lot of work for me to work my way back to reality. That teaching is simply a half truth. I personally like this part "When later asked why, he said that to hold either that there is a self or that there is no self is to fall into extreme forms of wrong view that make the path of Buddhist practice impossible" Fortunately I had a solid foundation and maybe even a spirit to help me back. Most of the people that become stuck n this whole are irretrievable ime.

Step 1, do not assume anything. Step 2, nothing is not everything, that doesn't even make sense. If all that exist is nothing, than I feel pitty for that soul.
  13. Ruthless Truth

"Self" can be just as much of a belief as "No-self".

You answer questions with questions? obviously rhetorical
  16. Ruthless Truth

Or anyone elses notion for that matter? Buddha's teachings were done in steps and where certain realizations and perspectives must be achieved before the others could even begin to be understood.
  17. Ruthless Truth

How do you assume to know my notion?
  18. Ruthless Truth

It is nothing more than self hypnosis, super-imposing an illusion upon an illusion.
