    Good day, maybe you can find a good practitioner of the Worsley school 5 Elemente Acupuncture... it all might be related to some psychological and deeper core issues... further I learned from my training in Chinese Medicine that there seem to be "windows" were healing is meant to happen and at other times it just does not happen. => do not give up on treatments... maybe the time just is not right yet for it to take effect... take care H

I do enjoy philosophical discussions for sure... but there is something special to "dance on the verge" of philosophy and experience (thankx for sharing yours...!) see below: From what you describe: How is it possible to stop a practice (making a decision to take a shower, thereby using intent or a kind of conscious effort)- thereby getting out of the "samadhic" state - when there actually is no "I-feeling"/"I-identitiy"/"I-period" in that state? enjoy a great day sincerely Harry

    Hi Sifu Terry, a practice that seems to produce positive results with regular practice of an hour per day seems to be perfect for someone with just an hour a day left for practice. I do have a few questions if you don't mind... derived from reading the thread and watching some of your DVDs: A) the last practice on DVD 1: likely it was said somewhere but I seem to miss it continuously: is it done just once after the breath sequence or actually done repetitively as all others for like 10 minutes? B ) on page 7 of this thread you recapitulate the practices with their breath percentage just not to confuse things: there you state the practice „Month serves Wine 1“ to have a breath percentage of: 80,50,40,30,10 on the DVD it says: 90,50,40,30,10 C) what happens with the practice/effect of the practice if one were to open the eyes before ending it with the three breathes? Aside from that: if keeping my eyelids relaxed they don't tend to fully close but leave a slit through which light enters: is that a problem at all? D) I assume that the general rule to practice one practice for like 6 monthes and then theoretically would be able to stop practicing it (as it from then on takes effect anyway) and continue with another counts not just for the standing meditations but the sitting meditations as well? What if one misses a day of practice? Does one have to count the 6 monthes from day one again or simply accept it and continue? (question actually: does a day missed break the results?) E) >>If you don't have that amount of time, then just work through Volume One in real time (about 55 min.)<< When you talk about time here: does it include the warm up Qigong on the DVD? What is your general take on that: what is the relation in effect of the warm up med to the meditations effectivity? F) Somebody asked the question if this practice leads to virtue and you responded: "Do not seek in your vitality (your health-preserving, longevity exercises) what you do not find in your heart." Now: in history many philosophers have tried to „logically“ arrive at universally applicable standards for moral and ethics. In the esoteric arts some claim that the (= their) practice changes the person in a way that it gets aligned to a "resonance" out there in the universe that changes their behavior according to this universal „principle“. I am interested to learn what you think that virtue is and where your guidelines for that are taken from... and where that which is in a person's heart actually comes from. G) You emphasize that Flying Phoenix is a purely medical Qigong and on your webpage you state: „high yogas such as the Flying Phoenix Celestial Healing Chi Meditations have been used to promote perfect health in the process of conditioning and empowering the practitioner to maintain this samadhic state-- and experience the ever-present reality of union within form.“ I have trouble to understand: does Flying Phoenix lead to a Samdahic State or only prepares one to enter it with other specific practices? If you don'T mind to share: I am deeply interested in your thoughts on the „samadhic state“ and what your core spiritual practice is that does not focus on health but on transcendence.     I see several animals in the right one... most obviously my sign... the tiger on the top... its tail risen up forming about the highest point of the formationhis face to be seen lower to the left from the side and the full left leg nicely presented... they say the lion is the king I'd still say it is the tiger in the middle I see the head of a phoenix and if you look closer you can find an elephant and maybe even a bear in there... not joking I see the faces too, Michael... in case I see the same as you: the one is like inhaling "mist" (the white shiny light) through its nostrils and eyes I love that smiles H
  7. This question goes out to the ones who know the Be Breathed program by Scott Sonnon. Already with the first exercise (the Butterfly) I have difficulties getting how to do it correctly. Let's say he lies there straight and then comes up with the body into the sitting position. He does an inhale. Now going back to the straight lying down position he does a sudden exhale (between straight sitting & starting to lie down)... now: does one continue to the exhale while slowly lying down vertebra by vertebra or does one keep a completely exhalated position (so no breathing part at all) while doing this? Same problem with coming from the butterfly position into the straight lying position. He does a quick exhale (abdominal wall contraction) short before getting into the lying down position... but the descritpion again does not tell you if you have already reached full exhalation before moving on to the straight lying down position or if one continues to exhale after the first exahaltion contraction... I know: that all is probably not easy to understand, but I lack the ability to describe it better... thankx for any help Harry

Let people have their believes and knowledge and continue to find things out for yourself.   11. O.k. Now that I have done standing meditation for a little while let me ask. Where does one place the weight on the feet? I know that one is not supposed to have the knees go over the toes... but does one have the weight more to the heels (feeling like a weight is hanging right from the sacrum vertically down to the floor)... or does one lean more foward into the knees, into Kidney 1, into the ground right so far before falling to the front? very curious Harry

Me again, although I am sure any of those practices available sooner or later will help with reducing sleep-time & strengthening the brain I wonder if you girls & guys know any special techniques to speeden up the process, as these two areas are currently my major concern.     This is a tough one. So take it as that. It isn't easy and you will have to live with and through your feelings. Maybe the will go, maybe not. Maybe it reignites a different wish in you that you have to communicate to your wife. Maybe it all will lead to seperation. This is part of life and it is not an easy lesson.     The only dilemma is that there are so many different viewpoints with everyone claiming theirs to be the right one. I believe it to be quite simple actually: you can peacefully "appreciate beauty, love and to have compassion" as this is not about sense pleasures, right? If you really mean: appreciating having sex with a perfectly modeled body, forgetting yourself in thinking of some other you believe to love etc. then ALL THAT tends to be more addictive like. If you manage to let things go the minute you leave them behind you are free. If you cling to them by feeling or by thought: you are not! About this life and afterlife. Whatever the afterlife might bring... concentrate on this life as this will give you the best cards for any afterlife. If you look for peace of mind, peace of emotions, peace of thoughts etc. and freedom of yourself you work on it now and it has the best chance to get you free in the future... cling to things and you keep yourself bound already here... how to expect to be free later on? For some: enjoy things first in order to be able to let them go later. enjoy Harry

    A little add on on the "inherent safety" of a substance. In TCM they say that especially herbal combinations have to be prepared according to the SPECIFIC pattern a patient is showing. Back in February this year I started taking a herbal combination for Gall Stones, as I really had damn tough trouble with those. I took that combination two years ago and it helped a lot. Now at that time I started new meditation practices, I was staying in a falt that got newly done and several other changes going on as well. I started developing funny symptoms. From day to day I felt more and more sick. My lower arms felt funny and I thought I had developed a kind of "muscle rheumatism", along my rectus abdominus muscle up to the clavicuals a kind of "counterflow Qi like" feeling developed and got worse and worse... I felt sick and sicker each day. This lasted for about 5 monthes and I addressed it more to the energetic practices. Finally I started sneezing... it was like the counterflow qi tried to knock out through my nose... At about that time the herbal combination ran out... already on the 2nd to 3rd day after stopping it the symptoms started to disappear. Now. I never got my TCM pattern determined, and while that combination absolutely helped my with my stone induced symptoms still a substance in there could haven been absolutely counterproductive for my pattern... further the charge might have been "poisoned" by not being produced according to proper standards... just thought I share Harry

    I am on a good way... seriously. I ingested that stuff from several suppliers a few years ago... and I had two friends doing this. While none of us so far can report any serious damage done (one had some weird experiences which might be judged "spiritual" or could be considered intoxication-like) one has to keep in mind that even IF it were harmless in and of itself, you can not rely on the products being safe. Even with pharmacological substances over the internet there is no security and you could get anything... if it is a safe placebo you are lucky. There is a list on yahoo if I remember right... they tell you how to do it yourself (again: if I remember right). Harry

  22. Killing Cows

    Good day, so. I love the topic of killing, eating meat and karma. Sick, isn't it? But it is a good example for most of the discussions... a lot of believes... so little proof. Not long ago some article was poste, if I remember right about how bacteria colonies react when certain other colonies get "killed"... and the conclusion got drawn that if already that kind of stuff happens on that level, what it does on other levels of being or other beings level - whatever. Now. Two days ago I visited a friend of mine who works on a new kind of Bio-Farm in Germany... and he told me a very interesting thing. Killing the animals on their farm they try to have them have as little stress as possible. When killing one for meet they don't lead them into dark, sterile, tight rooms - they have it shiny, under the sky and try everything to avoid one animal "hearing" the cry of another. And then he told me something pretty fascinating: they did EEG scans (brainwave stuff) and did find out that if a cow just falls down and is dead on the field, the other cows don't really recognize that. It seems to be so natural to them that that happens (because of age, too much sun on the brain etc.) that they just don't "care" or are "bothered". So currently they train one of their guys in a special shooting technique to be done on the field, thereby avoiding the stress effect on the other animals. I have no clue yet about the shooting technique and the possible stress induction in the cow to be killed, but I find it interesting, that one can at least drastically reduce the troture of all animals involved that way. Food for thought? Decide yourself... Harry

    A happy day, once in a while I try new toys... back when the Aneros was first introduced to the forum many got excited. Meanwhile the list of different versions got longer and longer... I personally liked the Helix one most. Later I got a Pantra, which turned out to be an interesting experience, but I never really got into it. In a way too big... I tried the "Rude-Boy" recently... but don't really like it. I sure love the Prostate cradle... but now I found a new toy...: http://www.nexus-titus.com/ in my case the way it is shaped makes it intense and fun to use. Forget about the ribbed shaft... don'T think it makes it that much better... but the tilted head really hits "my internal spot"... and when holding it in the right place (easy to do in my case) I get dry orgasms with stimulation. Now: with all the talk about Jing not being semen, being lost with the first thought of arousal, being resorbed from outside etc. etc. etc. I really don'T know if this practice helps to keep Jing, and I can'T tell you if it has the same troubles regarding stagnation as the Million Dollar point is meant to have. But I tell you. It is PLEASUREABLE!!! Many people asking about the possible loss of Jing probably just want to know how to extend their "span"... toys like that can help to train your prostate if one likes.     that's about the only one in the Aneros line I do not own... wanted to give the Nexus the thumbs up before the Prograsm one... I even start to like the vibro aspect... in my opinion the construction should me much different to really make it good, but when getting the Nexus in proper place I see the vibro aspect smoothly helping to lead somewhere... Hi Biff. If you insert an Aneros or whatever it could simply be that the defec reflex gets triggered and you got to run to the bathroom. To me it happens usually after the O-aspect... I use a condom covering the Aneros and now the Nexus: a) it helps to keep it clean it helps to make insertion much easier (in my case I do not even need lubrication) c) it can move easier inside (and that without lubrication again) Do not expect too much at first. For some the experience is immediate, for some it takes time. Depends on the models as well. If you have a girl friend and she is open for it: she can help you use that tool to explore new levels of erotic feeling... enjoy Harry
