>> And I have lots to share. For example, my comments about not living in a poverty consciousness. I was hoping someone would call me on it. What does that mean? It means I've tapped into the source and I know I can manifest whatever I need. I can talk at length about that with anyone who cares to hear it.<< O.k. You got me hear/here... I have tried to get into the manifesting part but never actually find the time to do the practices, maybe because I have my doubts about the material I have... if you know a sure way I am all ears and willing to learn and apply!!! By the way: I would have called you on it had it been that clear that you were referring to this... >>I didn't attack Li Jiong personally. I don't know anything about him. My comments were directed at his behavior and his comments. I'm here to discuss techniques, philosophies, points of view, opinions. I'm not here to psycho babble anyone or provide unsolicited therapy or to personally insult people.<< In this case you said to Plato "you really don't know anything about me". Why do you think you can already judge Li Jiongs behavior? My point about him not being a native speaker included many meanings: he does not have to know what others like you or me consider to be proper behavior or comments... his "phrasing" might raise Red flags in us, which to him might not have any negative connotation at all... why then judge them? You might ask why I seem to try to defend him... thing is. From the interactions I so far had with him he is a great & kind soul. I might have my obstacles regarding pricing, too, I might have problems with some of his wordings... but I understand that he is from a different background and, to me, has no nasty, evil, negative intents at all... language is a difficult thing to judge... regarding pricing: I still think he can charge for a translation as much as he wishes... I either decide to buy or I do not... currently I do not get the 9 chapters as I do not have the money raised for it yet... but later.. would I wish it to be more at my reach... sure I would. To a certain extent I believe he is approaching the subject similar to you (you from the point of your manifestation abilities)...: those who are able and willing to manifest a way to pay for the book are at the right time and place to do so... Plato would probably speak about one having attained enlightenment quality and in Li Jiong's words it might be the term "worthy"... where is the problem? Harry PS: how was it to be raised by a mother who was/is a Shaman, if you don't mind to share?

An honest question, Plato, I always wondered if that kind of language says something about virtue or not?
-
I might be wrong, Li Jiong, but I wouldn't worry about the devine becoming profane or abused... those who are not ready for the work won't read it, those who are part ready will read it partly and stop sooner or later even thinking about it... those who are ready will approach it that way... divine will stay divine, and "profane" stay "profane"... no harm done, I assume... as I say... experience is all there is and a book can help you guide experience maybe even better as a just 1 hour video... just wanting to have the last word

Yeah... experience is all there is...

>>>I would say the real meaning is the one you get after reading the text of Tao Te Jing. This is your personal understanding based on what you are at the present moment. What can be more real then that?<<< Hmmmmmmm... sure you are right, but why discuss the question real or not... ??? >>>In the middle of 19th century, an outstanding Daoist Huang Yuanji commentated Dao De Jing perfectly; and later in 1884, he published the book Real Meaning of Dao De Jing. In this book, he not only explains the philosophy side in detail, but also offers the concrete internal cultivating knacks to us. It is a perfect course of Dao cultivation actually.<<< (taken from: www.yiquando.com) the name of the book was given by Huang Yuanji 120 years ago... we can hardly argue with him about it...

People, come one... although I personally don't feel that a high price (whatever that is) is a good distinguishment for "worthy" or "unworty"... nevertheless... those who are honestly interested will find a way to pay the price... and 81 dollars isn't much at all for a translation...do you think? There are many many endless hours involved in doing such a translation... but if I get it correct the "critiscism" does not really refer to the price for the complete translation but for getting access to a part of the translation... one can talk about this... (Li Jiong... you hear?) To those who feel "offended" by Li Jiongs words I assume he will not mind me saying that he is doing his best with his English, but that it can be that it sometimes does not come accross as he very likely means it... give him the bonus of not being a native speaker and don't judge him by his language only... up to this point I have learned him to be a very honest person, willing to share what he really has experienced and what he hasn't. Regarding "real" and "fake"... a commentary by a practitioner (Huang Yuanji... please note that Li Jiong does not say it is his commentary, but that he is the translator of the book "Real Meaning of Dao De Jing"...!) of the art gives the book more credit in my opinion, than a modern day commentary without a practitioner's experience... In Spring Forest Qi Gong Chunyi Lin teaches a method where he uses two sounds: Oooooooommmmmmmmmm Mooooooooooooooooooooooo If I remember correctly he breathes into a point with the first sound breathes out with the second sound to the next point and inhales with the first sound into the same point, continuing from there with the exhale sound to the next point.... No. It's no fucking game and I am sorry for your loss, and probably it is enough having said that. But: it is not us pacifists that kill and it isn'T our attitude. It's the non-pacifist attitude that can be made responsible for it... the training I do I do in order not to show me being frightened (and therfore an easy target), giving me a sense of being secure... but I know I am still not, whatever training I do. The training I do further is there to make me handle my temper & anger in certain situations, in order to remain calm and NOT to escalate the situation. The "I fight"-attitude makes things only worse and raises the danger of fight... are we pacifists bloody silly? Don't think so... pacifism still holds the possibility for protecting oneself and others & activism... the "I fight"-attitude, especially based on anger or sadness, leaves about no room for anything else... I sent you my best thoughts... I couldn't have added more to the already given ideas. TAT would have been my idea but that was already brought up... regarding your red dog: you know that we are in the year of the Fire Dog now, don't you... HAPPY NEW YEAR dear... Harry sunshine

The problem with the built-in laptop mic tends to be a time lap... you record the first track o.k. and witht he second there is (at least to my ears) noticable delay between both tracks... by the way. If anzbodz is interested in a very good and really cheap midi-audio program: try n-track I know. it got nothing to do with allergy... Harry

I have tried it. Didn`t work. I even contacted one of the guys who wrote suh a blog as mentioned (maybe even the mentioned guy) and as far as I remember he gave it up. I have read a lot about it and most everybody gave it up. Even if you generally tend to have the time to do it you get thrown out of your pratice it by whatever instance you can not get the half-hour sleep at the set time intended. Day to day life usually does not allow you to really go to sleep when you want to. You say. Well I go to sleep for half an hour everydaz around 7 in the evening? If you live a usual life, forget about it. you will get a call or you are meant to meet friends at that time or or or... I have tried several setups and none worked... in the long run it might be possible to do if you can stick to a strict regimen... but usually I give it about no chance to work... you will tend to sleep longer (like in the morning: ` a come`on. give me 5 more minutes`... and there you go... save your time for something else. who said that baby`s sleep policyclic...? Ever noticed how much sleep they have? It is not the 4 to 6 hours that is aimed at with the practice... Harry (after 9 days Yi Quan training and still the same need for the same amount of sleep. At least 8 hours...)

The difference between Therapy and Spiritual Practice?

>>A good friend can do the same... although they wont earn much money doing it << Yeah. But for how long??? And can she/he really do that in most instances without either putting themselves into a dangerous position or one oneself putting the friendship into danger. The realiotnshio of friends, however good it may seem, is always a lot more fragile as the "relationship" between a therapist (as a "stranger") and a client... >>I'm still a little confused as to what 'therapy' means to you guys: As Sean said: "NLP, hypnosis, EFT, nutrition, orgone, even many so-called spiritual techniques ... all these alternatives are still therapies" - so if you include nutrition and orgone therapy under the umbrela title, would beauty, massage, chiropractic therapy also count? That's a very broad range of very different modalities so if the word "therapy" covers all of those then it would be pretty hard to find some type of personal development system/tool that doesn't fit under that word.<< I do think the word "therapy" gets the meaning by the "search" or "intent". Take NLP for example: do you want to learn it in order to have a technique at your hand to better deal with people? Or do you want to learn it to maybe overcome your feeling of inadequacy... different, isn't it? Take EFT: do you learn EFT in order to become a better performer? Or do you specifically learn it because you want to overcome your long distant emotional traumas? different again, I think... take massage: you get one because you want to just feel more relaxed, or do you get a specific massage that on intent releases bodily stored traumas? different... so: am I "mentally masturbating" here? -
Taken from: "Practical Dictionary of Chinese Medicine" [Wiseman & Feng] "jing: essence: That which is responsible for growth, development, and reproduction, and determines the strength of the constitution, and is manifest physically in the male in the form of sperm. Essence is composed of earlier heaven essence (congenital essence), which is inherited from the parents and constantly supplemented by later heaven essence (aquired essence)m produced from food by the stomach and spleen. Later heaven essence is considered to be the same as, or a derivative of, the essence of grain and water from which qi, blood, and fluids are also produced. Essence is often referred to as eseential qi, and because it is stored by the kidney, it is also called kidney essential qi. There is no distincition in Chinese between essence and semen - both are called jing." so: jing stagnation = semen stagnation regarding the damage by pressing: this happens easier if one presses more towards the scrotum. Simple anatomy in that instance...

I want to add something: from all the discussions I have read there are two points of view why to use that technique: -some seem to say that pressing that point helps to "lenghten/stretch" the way before reaching the point of no return. -others regard it as a safety valve to safe you from loss as soon as one has reached the point of no-return. I personally found that point being pressed before reaching the point of no-return much more stimulating... but there have been cases where I personally found it to work to stretch the time... pressing it as soon as the sperm shoots out of the vesicles you build pressure up from twosides meeting. I believe that the necessary pressure huts the tissue

The difference between Therapy and Spiritual Practice?

Yep. A good therapist can help you understand & see things about you, your life, your relationhip to others you yourself can not... further he can be your Tao in a bottle or be the one teaching you what you yourself either would have to search & pay for or never find... -
I don't know what HT instructors say, but in my case it lead to bleading from the urethra... very likely due to too much pressure, inflamed prostate & scar tissue...

The difference between Therapy and Spiritual Practice?

>>But what is the intention of most people who start exploring spirituality? Isn't it still to get past your problems?<< I, speaking from experience, felt that there must be more to life than what I saw, felt & experienced. That my life wasn't perfect allowed me to draw that conclusion. But that didn't yet mean I was trying to solve my troubles. Far from it: I tried to run away from them trying to just bypass them... I today believe to know that without solving your down-to-Earth troubles the spiritual route might lead nowhere if it doesn'T include helpful techniques to allow you to handle your day to day stuff... and therapy sure is not just psychoanalysis-derived practice, freeform: Everything that helps one to solve troubles one has problems with is therapy. >>I think a lot of people's problem is more that they don't introspect about their problems, they just try to pretend they don't exist or that they will go away magically. << Problem with cdertain therapies that help you "see" or "understand" your problems is that they do not help you to overcome it. Just "knowing" what the difficulty is does not make you able to handle it properly, although it might. In EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) they try to dissolve the root of the problem without you necessarily needing tio understand it... you just have to be aware of the trouble... the last cause for why a certain instance has lead you to react or feel in such and such a way might never be found... so: 1st step: be aware that you have some sort of issue 2nd: dissolve it with any technique available (you might have to try several) >>A good therapist is just a good healer<< yep. While there are techniques that might in general be of higher success rate than others one and the same technique in the hand of different people might yield different results... >>I mean what is the real difference in intention behind Fusion and any other therapy? << I think they are just not labled therapy because they are viewed as a step towards a higher goal. Who learns Fusion to deal with emotions? Very likely only those who want to clear their path towards higher energetic practice... and one thing to point at: Fusion is mainly something you have to do on your own and practice consistently while usual therapy always needs a person who at least functions as a catalyst... >>In a lot of ways I think the modern field of therapy was just an attempt to make spiritual aspiration/healing wisdom survive the scientific revolution.<< Don'T think so. I personally feel that they often took something that they did not understand the full impact of but found it useful for solving troubles... if you only have the intent to help someone deal with their emotions you just do that. If you teach them the same technique with the intent of clearing the way for something more powerful that comes afterwards, you do exactly that... Harry -
The difference between Therapy and Spiritual Practice?

Spiritual practice might make us face situations we need therapy for, bringing up emotional troubles etc. etc. etc. There might be practices in the spiritual circles that help release that stuff but practices themselve are only "spiritual" with the specific background... Somebody who has a background of proper therapy might be more balanced to start with spiritual practice... to me, as most often, it is mainly a question of intent. Is Fusion itself a spiritual practice? Don'T think so. Some might consider it a specific form of therapy, while some psychotherapy might be highly "enlightening"... there are many practices out there that lead one nowhere... neither in a therpeutic sense nor in a spiritual one... I believe that a spiritual intent can have major advantage in a therapeutic healing sense. By focussing on something beyong the ego the ego can get released... but as we know: some so called spiritual people get stiff with their practice not evolving at all... just some thoughts -

Let me ask. Do you feel that intense pratice leads to "sudden severe happenings" in order to either dissolve your "karma more quickly" or to make you "see where you are"? I think that every time I start to pratice more intensely or at least truly continuously, weird things start to happen. I won't go into many details, but a few days ago a needle I just applied to a patients blood vessel moved out of the patient and jumped at my hand... (the patient was moving his arm and the needles we use are fixed to a flexible plastic tube that made it jump back and around towards me)... it "luckily" proved that the patient had no severe illnesses like HIV or Hepatitis... and today a patient wished me a beautiful death in full traffic and looks towards making it impossible for me for getting a job in my country... now you got to know. I am not yet working at a psychiatry department, so this is no fun at all... although I was assured that there is no way he will have success and this is something we as doctors need to get used to... so. How are your experiences? Do you feel that each time you start practicing more intensely more of that weird stuff happens? just curious Harry a little irritated by todays happenings, but luckily not fully thrown out of track

There are so many things I have bought over the years that I don't even want to think about how much money I spent without the products really being good or of any use... this thing is different: www.nadachair.com I got mine through www. higherbalance.com this product really helps with sitting crosslegged. As one can tighten the straps that are put around the legs/kness one can rest into the back-support... the leggs get raised a little so that there is not that much pressure by one leg being on top of the other ANDwhat I personally like: I never rellay got to put my hands in one of those meditation positions where they rest in ones lab that easily... now even my armd are supported lying lightly on top of the straps... this is a pretty cool device and highly recommended! Harry
