  1. AWARENESS OF BREATHING 24 HOUR CONTEST

    I am on my best way to becoming a licensed Psychiatrist. I am not that much into just jumping into some kind of business... PSychiatry seems to be quite safe and will give me a fundamental income on which to build. Currently I am still at university. In about two years I will be starting my internship. The money I own will be used for learning further, several of the available used to and not so used to therapies... there is a lot material out there, but I will have to wade through to filter to best from the better... anybody willing to contribute financially to my journey??? Always open for any help on my way... Harry

If you feel things more intense than the more Qi you have is very likely trying to push through those blocked areas. Less Qi = not as intense feeling. As soon as those blocked areas get cleared and the Qi can move freely the feelings will start to subside... ""Also I'm pretty unclear about the whole way I was taught this in my TCM class that I took--when you ask if your environment creates your imbalances or vice versa, they say both, so am I trying to recreate my environment or my response to the environment? I will probably be confused about this forever."" Hmmmm. Do not really get it. Sure the external environment can create imbalances in your body. I recently noticed for example that the kind of alarm clock I use creates little shocks to my heart and has lead to heart Qi deficiency... in this way external events shape your internal environment. And yes: the imbalances you already have tend to create your environment. Take spleen Qi deficiency for example: you will crave for sweet stuff in order to fulfill the spleen's needs, but due to little knowledge one gets back to chocoloate, cakes etc. and thereby weekens the Spleen's Qi further... a vicious cycle... ""Also I'm wondering if maybe it's a bad idea to jump around from style to style as much as I do..."" From my today's viewpoint I'd say yes. I have done that in the past a lot. I believe it is better to take an exercise and master it. Then one can move on. And as Bodri says (or his master): choose a method you like and one that you don't like. That which you don't like is very likely the one that will help you most..." I do not think it is a good idea to go several ways at once. Master one then the next... but be sure about what you want Harry

    "I don't know." Good answer. I won't even start with the scary stuff I was confronted with that was not mentioned already Lozen... but I believe there are several things that seem reasonable: 1. I agree with Cameron that without those problems we very likely would not be bothered improving ourselves, BUT 2. Improving ourselves IN ORDER to get rid of those problems seems to be a trap from a higher dimension viewpoint (I suppose. I am not there, you know...). So: always being entangled with those problems, asking oneself when they will go away actually blocks you from proceeding... 3. Do the imbalances come back if you stop practicing? In case yes: good reason not to stop. just a few thoughts Harry

  11. I am curious to what the experience is of advanced practitioners. Does the energy of energy penetrate through materials that are used for insulation? Billd Bodri for example mentions that true sexual cultivation (exchanging sexual energy with a partner) is NOT possible if using runbbers! How about doing standing practices and wanting to draw up earth energy while wearing certain shoes? I personally can not think of myself practicing without shoes, as it would be much too cold, but what sense makes practicing if the material I wear does not make the energy get through to me? How about clothes in general. Do you feel the cloth you wear interfere with your practices? very curious Harry

  13. Well. Yeah. That sound itself is completely unerotic, that is the point. Sure one can get into ecstasy using it, but I openly & honestly can not imagine myself roaring like a deer during certain specific moments... actually Mr. Johnson advises one to learn the technique in a completely unaroused state at the beginning, as otherwise one might go over the edge too quickly. Just a little touch or thought down there so that that part of the body gets attention to know that it is part of the process... not more. Having done the key sound out loud and brought the body into triggering that process might lead to the body just knowing what to do, without you needing to articulate the keysound out loud. It is said to simply be reawakening the body's wisdom... when that is done leave the technique behind... I have not mastered the technique by the way. Too much of an overactice pr... but maybe Plato's wonderpill helps in that area. Will have to evaluate in the future... and I unfortunately do tend not to practice regularly... By the way. Ever looked into the Deer practice promoted by Dr. Stephen T. Chang? But I assume that that is much more inappropritate, as it requires you massing yourself (without meant to being aroused though)... The key sound technique does not need you to be aroused actually. Quite contrary, as they say. AND: some people seem to have had look do the key sound mentally... just a thought Harry

While at the moment dietary supplements are still let in, Vitamin supplements is a completely different field.     Although I know that one can doubt the words of a seller of a certain product I will still quote Dr. Schulze (more at the links below) as much of it is simply true. Regarding brain enhancer. No reports yet. Should I get an A in my summer medical exams it will have word. Even if it is only a B. As I am not that much familar with the thoughts about Karma in Buddhism or other traditions, I hope you don't mind me retreating to something I read about it by Li Hongzhi (Falun Gong) & hope for your thoughts on the subject: My main question is. How do Buddhists for example decide what is producing bad Karma, what is just paying back Karma and what is producing good Karma? For example: two "everday difficulties" I am encountering: Asking somebody wherever in the world to send me something with low invoice in order either to save on customs/tax or in order to get it to bypass customs (as otherwise it might not be let in). Is that producing bad Karma? Is it a bad deed? OR: as a medical student I see it all the time that fellow students are cheating in order to get through, and for those studying is a lot easier. Now: if I cheat in order to pass an exam: Am I only acting out Karma, am I cheating Karma thereby producing new bad Karma? What do you think? Now to Karma in general. If I understand Li Hongzhi correct he say that we have something called "De". This De is a kind of "white substance" (while Karma is a kind of "black substance"). If you have a lot of it you either have good fortune or whatever compared to those with lower amount. Now: If you do someone bad one is said to loose some of that white substance. The person being being done bad receives it in exchange. In the person who does bad a place gets free and there black substance (Karma) finds a place to stay. Regarding the question of doing good deeds: If the above is the case I wonder how it is with doing good deeds? Me doing a good dead would mean taking someone his/her white substance away? I am really curious of what you think or know thank you Harry

    Sorry that I am so slow. So: the "hints" do say that one should inhale while "pulling up" the anus, right? Now: the Sexual Qi Gong breathing then would be the opposite in breathing pattern compared to the Anal Qi Gong breathing. There you exhale while pulling the anus up, right? While I know that it is said that mind leads Qi I wonder in how far the breathing itself creates a certain movement... thankx again Harry

    Please enlighten me again. How do you perform the Anal Breathing method? If one compares the written word with the drawing one sees that they are contradictory. What the picture shows as inhale and exhal is the opposite in the text. While this might not be of importance I would believe that the way one breathes triggers a different response in the body. Any insights? thankx in advance Harry
