Hi all, I am at my wits end. I won't end my life, but I feel like it sometimes. I successfully cleared the concrete dust from my windows as per my previous sleeping issue- {http://www.thedaobums.com/topic/35061-nourishing-living-environment/}, and was sleeping better for a short period. But the only thing i've done since then is reintroduce some heavy curtains since its winter here atm and they are needed, as well as a couple natural mats to cover the pine flooring. I clean everything regularly - curtains, mats, flloor, sheets, etc. So the good news is I don't have those horrible sleeps like before, with heart racing and I also dream! But I still get wet dreams which I KNOW are based on this irritated feeling I get in my eyes and nose. I mean when I spend more than an hour outside my room I get a ton of mucus out. And I feel I can breathe again! I"m just sick of it. Why can't I just get a good sleep? Some great native american healer once told me that the person in my last life made great sacrifice to give me a great life. So then why is this occuring? My whole face and nose feels irritated and my nose is red from blowing. And its a catch-22, i can't move until i'm healthy. And nothing else in my life is majorly different to cause this. please help. I mean is there anyone psychic who can tell me exactly what it is the causing this issue and I will pay you? I realize it can also be mental thing but thats the thing: I try to be positive EXACTLY AS BEFORE when I get a good sleep. I'm sorry for having a whinge, This issue has been occuring for nearly 5 years now and that's 5 years of my life wasted and I won't stand for it anymore, even if it means I become homeless eventually lol. Final thing. I have always had weak immunity since a child since my mum's jing was weak from history of drugs and also I didn't eat meat til teenage years and also sleeping with a tonne of dust under my bed for about a year once since my mum was overworked and forgot to vaccuum. So I am sensitive to dust {maybe over-sensitive, but how do I change??}, and always like fresh air as much as possible though obviously that isn't possible here in winter. Best regards G

I read about some books where you can use your intention to manifest cash flow into your life {with action too, of course}. But at the same time, isn't this cheating, since I feel you need to earn the cash. I'd like to go to an upcoming chi kung course but a close relative who had promised me to loan some money to assist with the course fees since renegged. I will not be able to save enough to attend in the next 3 weeks til it starts {not to mention the cost of flights increases by then}. So, I just wanted to know if others have had success in using intention to mainfest cash flow into their lives. N.b I've also looked at all the sites for getting cash quickly and of course legitimately and besides a few "fill out surveys for chump change" or "mow your neighbours lawn" freelancer based websites / suggestions I found nothing directly effective. Note please do not offer to help me financially in any way, I will refuse it and do not want it Thanks for reading. gl

HI CT, I am interested, feel free to pm me or post here if you like. Anything which help one grwo from boy to a man. But keep in mind that I overthink alot of things, can I still train it?

Hi, Thanks everyone for your kind and generous replies. Yes, that's it I understand now! If my room is clean and minimalistic, my lifestyle is wholesome annd nourishing, and I am doing good chi kung every day, THEN we'lll see what happens.. I did a more vigorous room clean yesterday, and went to bed earlier than usual and although I still don't feel great, I feel better than the day before. I also like this, just strip everything down and then build u;pwards from there, like stripping a car down to its bare frame...and then I can see which parts shoul'dn't be added from there ) Feel more positive now. So, small simple steps, win everytime

Jing Chi in Post-Menopausal Women . . . (?)
Goldleaf replied to Lataif's topic in General Discussion
A great healer I know said that you can use your Shen to nourish your Qi and jing, so I wouldn't even worry about post-menopausal women! And I definitely wouldn't worry about percentages. Some women and men with thanks to healthy lifestyle, regular colonics, {no Qi Gong or Qi healing is even mentioned}, have given birthy to healthy children at the age of 70. I have read in several sources that it is possible, regardless of age, to be as healthy at the age of 60 as one is at the age of 30, even natural! So, without being flagrant, you might be better focussing on those rare examples that are inspiring, rather than numbers which are limiting -
Congratulations on your results with treating cancer that's amazing. This is a great thread, thanks for sharing.

Hi all, My question is it better to just practice "seal the leaking door" and retention exercises from Mantak Chia at the risk of injaculating as I did before? Yes the risk is I could get an infection or damage but at least I'd still have conserved my jing. Besides I read (somewhere, cant find it now) that the sperm can be syphoned off or reabsorbed into the blood. I could also heal the damage or infection in future with chinees medicine/medical advances. I understand that opening energy blockages is just as important, but your jing takes time to replace, and I feel have already depleted a LOT of it through my indulgent and hectic life. For example, I rarely laugh these days. Blessings, Goldleaf

Hi there, I just movd to a new area a have sore dry, and irritated eyes when I wake up in the morning. And also, occassional nocturnal emissions. I read with Chinese medicine that bloodshot eyes it can mean Yin Deficiency. But I don't understand why they feel so irritated in the mornnig. I rarely use computers throughout tr day. Could it be an allergy to something in the bedroom? But I don't want to become a paranoid, worrying about all these things everywhere I sleep! Also, does allergy mean low Wei Qi? Well the good news is I stay positive and mentally strong throughout this ) But bad news is it makes me feel I can't trust my sleep! I would appreciate some help

Thanks for that Aetherous. Great advice. Could be b2 deficiency- is b2 in yeast or spinach? Over 100 view but only two replies. Guess I'm not one the "cool" kids

Fear is just an absence of determination, choose determination Ego is just an absence of simicity, choose simplicity. Choose clarify, over confusion Choose kindness, over selfishness Choose love over hate. Choose.

I would like a spiritual alternative to Bing.com as my homepage. Suggestions?
Goldleaf replied to DreamBliss's topic in General Discussion
If you can't find the homepage you are after, maybe try contacting one of the artists you like and humbly ask him to put his artworks into a rotating homepage! Win-win. -
G'day, I have been experiencing some not-nice draining sleeps lately. So after discussing with a good practioner of Chinese Medicine, was refered to his friend who is into the Art of Feng Shui. After I explained the position of my house and bedroom, he advised that my house is in the "K'un" direction, and the bedroom in my house could be draining my energy as I sleep. (For those interested, it is the room in the bottom middle sector of the "Kun" house). But at the same time, and without meaning disrespect to Feng Shui, I am wary of commiting myself to believe in this totally since I already worry unnecessarily. Unfrotunately it difficult for me to change my bedroom location right now. But for those who have some insight to share, I would like to humbly ask, if I do qigong is this enough to counteract the potentially "draining" effect? I read somewhere that if your energy field is strong enough it can in fact enhance the energy field of your environment! Does this mean I could change it to positive over time? As I've said in a past post, I always seem to sleep better in other houses, so it could also be simply an allergy to something, but i've already done a lot of changes to coutneract that possibility. Another way of asking is, have you ever tried Feng Shui yourself and found it enhanced your sleeping / life in some way, more than just the placebo effect? Gl

Hi Seb (posing as Butters!) Thanks for looking up my trigram and supplying this informaiton, this is great. So, this leads me woindering which is more important, the direction I am sleep8ing, or the position of my room? In other words, as I said at the start, I doin't want to get into this too much or otherwise I will just worry even more and overthink my life. So to keep it simple...for example, I contact a hotel and want to book a room. Should I ask for a room in a particular part of the hotel (based on its direction), OR just forget about that and arrange the position of my bed? Gl

Hi chidragon, The front door is facing south (within 10Degrees). Back ot he house is facing North, within 10 Degrees. So, since its not suitable for me to move rooms right now, I'll have to ignore what you say, like you suggested Hi sebby, Thabnks for your offer, I have pmd you.

No. But having lots of chi should affect yoiur digestion of sugar

Great advice. Room is pretty cliean, but as its winter here in Australia, hard to keep the room very well ventilated at night, it gets to -2 Degrees Celcius! As for Buddha, i'll try to be more like him from now on i'm not sure, i thought the direction a house faces was teh same as its trigram. In other words, a Kun trigram? i'm using - http://www.fengshuitips.co.uk/sitting_and_facing.htm fofr reference. Actually, just realised thaqt the facing direction might be the opposite direction of our front door, i.e, since the part of our house that faces the most "yang" is actually the back door (note: I live on a rural property). ***I also live in Australia, so was told to flip the compass directions*** So, to answer your question, I still don't know which trigram, but just realised the house is actually the opposite of Kun, i.e Gen. gl

This will sound flagrant, but, if God cannot be comprehended by the mortal mind, then why are you trying to use your mind again to comprehend soul (who can know God), and God? Congratuatliions on having the courage to share your views so openly about such deep topics. I can only suggest, from my heart, that you follow what your heart tells you with this regard, and not your mind. If you don't find the answers you seek, then you could try and pray, pray from your heart; "please God, help me understand who you are in my life". It may also help to peel back soem layers as suggested, to get to the real reasons, why you are asking and discussing these topics which are iomportant in every person's life. gl
-
I don't mean disrespect to you oir your relgiion, but why would God need to know itself further? I think the more important thing is, do you know yourself?
-
Just some questions for you from a neutral (no need to answer here unelss it suits you): -do you think God/higher self are the same thing? -do you think it is possible to comprehend God mentally? I am not a therapist, but it may be that fundamentallly you just need to work on unravelleing the reasons why you have yoru doubts...peeling back the layers...which can be done with your therapist, and regulated with healthy social activityh...maybe try some volunteer work, then you'll really believe you aren't an "accident"... gl

Advice please: Insomnia and headaches worse after seeing healer
Goldleaf replied to kudos100's topic in General Discussion
Hi kudos100, Your problem sounds like something I had recently experienced, and I had the exact same approach. (Which didn't work). ONe of the things I realised, is that qigong and the Western mindset, doesn't go together (I'm assuming you are from a Western soceity). We are taught in the West that everything has a formula, everything is a puzzle to be solved, cause and effect, and the biggest thing, that to improve something, we have to add to it. Then qigong comes along, and the fact is, if I really want to get something out ofr it, I have to do the exact opposite of each of those things. And the fact is that qigong is like life! -Qigong isn't a formula, its a mixture. -There is no puzzle to be solved, nothing to be improved, when thousands of years of efforts of past masters (thanks to them!) has distilled qigong (assuming you are pracrticing high-quality qigong) to its best, I repeat, best that it can offer you. -There is no cause and effect! There simply is action and inaction! Everything is cause and effect, and nothing is cause and effect! So may I humbly suggest the following. Give the above approach a try, see how it feels for you. Also you could try focus on letting go, and enjoying. Do nothing, no chi kung, no deep breathing, no meditation, for a day or even two, to let your energy settled down. Just enjoy. Enjoy simple things. Trust your body, it will let your energy settle down, and if things haven't improved, try asking another high-level healer for an energy healing. But DON'T practice chi kung before or after the healing. (It worked for me after I was getting horrible horrible sleeps from overtraining, see- my recent post in healing circle). Then, be wary of overtrainig in future. If you are practic ing high-quality chi kung, it is always better to undertrain than overtrain. If you are worrying about getting "the perfect amount" of chi kung, than you need to readjusting your approach! And/or doulbe check with your chi kung teacher regarding combining variuos healing techniques yuou mentioned. It may be hard to try this new approach, because it was for me, but one way to look at it is - you have all these wonderful healing techniques at your disposal, so why worry! You are set for life. Australian Yijinjing Gengmenpai Waigong workshop
Goldleaf replied to Donnel's topic in General Discussion
Hi Donnel, I live near Melbourne. Is there a link to more information about shaolin Yijinjing Gengmenpain.? Is it easy to learn just once in Melbourne and then practice on your own, or will it require additional tuition (and if so, will he reside in Australia in future)? Has Grady taught this method before, and what are some of the things that particulary exmplify him and his Sifu's training? No disrespect intended with these questions, I have been burned too many times by methods which claim a lot, but do very little, and am only after tangible results now. -
Like another poost I saw recently, How do you improve your living environment? I read about orgone blankets that energised you while yuou sleep. Why not put the blankets on all the walls of your house??!! (if you could afford to). Or something similar, is what I'd like toi do. Has anyone ever slept in a pyramid and felt energised? Or a yurt? Besides making sure everything is natural products, and using things like indoor plants and salt lamps is there a template for an energising house? gl
