  1. You may not realize that was what it is doing inside the body. However, please don't take my word for it!
  2. Real cool..... You have the best and the simplest solution all along. We all learn from each other but sometimes from the hard way. However, the final product is what we had learned from experience. Once Lao Tze told Confucius: "I am not your teacher but I only knew a little more than you this time. Next time, when you know more than I do, then you'll be my teacher. It was only relative." One is not a Taoist once born. It takes time and hardship to become one.
  3. The only electricity flow is in the nerves which is called the "action potential". When it was activated, the muscle contracts and also generates body heat. The electrical energy was released by the the ATP in the mitochondria. Theoretically, if one can have all the mitochondria to generate a maximum amount of ATP at the same time, then one can imagine how much energy and heat were generated in the body. The action potential only happens in a short time which means it cannot be stored. When the action potential has gone, then the muscles are relaxed and the body heat is no long being generated. In order to keep the muscles to be contracted, the action potential has to be generated constantly. IMO A Chi Kung practitioner could have been generated an excess amount of energy and heat which might be used externally like setting up a fire. This is the possible explanation to the best of my scientific knowledge. There is something that is observable, a Chi Kung practitioner always have the muscles contracted or tighten in any demonstration to generated the Chi.
  4. Sorry, again. It is utterly impossible for me to respond to a certain degree of accuracy which is so characteristic to your remarks. Thanks to a special feature which has been given to us by the forum, this kind of remarks is no longer highly visible to my eyes.
  5. To be honest, I knew no more than anyone of us until the translation was done. I am sorry, what do you mean by BS in the above statement?
  6. The Taoist Conception of God

I see nothing in the contents that is pertaining to the title of the OP. This article has too much western influences which is trying to equate Tao to the gods or deities from other cultures. IMO This article should have been payed more attention to the text and context of the Tao Te Ching instead of most often spoken about the gods in other religions.
  7. Cool..... Not if everyone can hold the patience and endurance by just ignoring such "tyrants". "Annoyance" is only to someone who is not familiar with the cultivation of Xing Kung as a Taoist. "Annoyance" is only not acceptable to those who do not have patience and endurance. Why do you think Taoists exist? They do exist is because they have cultivated themselves to hold this high standard of conduct. "Annoyance" may be there but if it was ignored by the majority; then it will be dissolved by itself. "Ignore" means by not responding to any of the annoying remarks.
  8. The Taoist Conception of God

When you said "God", may I assume that it was meant the "Christian God". Based on that assumption, God does not exist nor any deity in the Tao Te Ching. However, there are many deities in the Taoist religion. Lao Tze was placed in the Taoist shrine as their first paramount deity.
  9. The purpose of this thread is really about DCXM. The definition of DCXM has been established here. If there was any alteration to its definition, then, it will invalidate the philosophy of the Quanzhen Tao(ๅ…จ็œŸ้“). Why Xing Kung is so important to us? It is because the body is manipulated by the mind. Therefore, the mind must be fine tuned to keep its function to the peak. The Chinese Taoists had sat up a four taboos as canon for the DCXM, ้…’่‰ฒ่ฒกๆฐฃ(alcohol, libido, wealth and temperament). These four criteria are inter reacting which effect the mind and the body, inversely, to their normal functions and development. So far, the members had discussed many ways to cultivate the Ming Kung but not much in the Xing Kung department, so to speak. Since there were some confusions about the Quanzhen Tao(ๅ…จ็œŸ้“) in some recent threads, perhaps we could have them cleared up, here, objectively. I think it would be more advantageous if we have spent more time in Xing Kung. Even though we don't have to be a Taoist, perhaps we may learn from that to have some mental self-discipline.
  10. The Taoist way is the cultivation of Xing Kung which is to enhancing one's patience, stamina and endurance.
  11. ็œŸไบบ(true person) is an esoteric term which is used by Chinese Taoists excluding all external meaning or influence. Most westerners were trying to over interpret the Chinese term by lumping different ideas and stuck into one term. That was how all the confusion begins. This is an esoteric term for addressing a highly cultivated Taoist priest. A highly cultivated is not a ่–ไบบ. Otherwise, it wouldn't have been called a ็œŸไบบ(true person). If you are trying to introduce the Catholic and Confucianism thoughts to relate to the Taoist term, sorry, I think you are in a wrong place. ****** End of discussion ***** PS..... No offense, I'm just trying to avoid confusing the issue here in the thread.
  12. Taoism & Confucianism - surely no way?

For a Chinese Confucian Buddhist, if there is such an animal, it is roughly right.
  13. Is the Taoist way to handle the OP. It's a big challenge for MH.
  14. Taoism & Confucianism - surely no way?

In Confucian, ancestor worship is a matter of remembrance and honor the ancestors and it has nothing to do rebirth. Rebirth is a belief in Buddhism only.
  15. Daily timetable of the Quanzhen retreat

walker..... These are the only comments I hear from you all the time. Is there anything else new that you know about me....??? Why don't you read the messages correctly instead of twisting the words and killing the messenger. I don't think you understood a word I had said due to your preconceived idea about me not practicing anything at all. FYI You didn't hear anything from me about any of your comments because I have reservation for you. No hard feeling! Edited to add a smile.
  16. Daily timetable of the Quanzhen retreat

ๅ…จ็œŸ(Quanzhen) is "ALL TRUE". Thus there shouldn't be any doubt in DCXM(ๆ€งๅ‘ฝ้›™ไฟฎ). The cultivation of Xing is to keep the mind free of contaminants to attain a state of true mind. Let's keep it this way. All corrections should be made accordingly if there was any misunderstanding. It is part of the principles in the DCXM. Please don't try to fight the system because fallacies will fall apart at the final end.
  17. Thanks! Okay, I would fine tune my body with Chi Kung to make it more "true"......!!! Edited to add: Btw DCXM is the whole purifying process itself. It was applied before. Hence, there was no mistake on my part.
  18. Do you know what is DCXM stand for....??? That was a test for you and you failed. Sorry, you'd fell into my trap. Next time please be careful. I am not so easy to be dealt with. PS.... If I haven't read the classics, then I wouldn't have gone this far. Right....???

ไธƒ็œŸ้“ๆดพ or ๅŒ—ไธƒ็œŸ้“ๆดพ was collectively originated from the Quanzhen Tao. ไธƒ็œŸ was referred to, ๅ…จ็œŸไธƒๅญ, the seven disciples of Wang Zhongyang. ้“ๆดพ was referred to a "Taoist sect". ไธƒ็œŸ้“ๆดพ was understood short for the seven schools of the Quanzhen Tao. Technically, it was a collective term actually was saying ไธƒๅ…จ็œŸ้“ๆดพ: The seven schools which were found by the seven disciples of the Quanzhen Tao. In Chinese is OK to drop the "ๅ…จ" character because it was understood mentally by the natives. However, in English was not understood due to the demand of a precise description of everything. BTW ๅ…จ็œŸ้“, ๅ…จ็œŸๆดพ, ๅ…จ็œŸๆ•™ are synonyms ็œŸ้“ๆดพ(Zhen Tao Pai) is not the proper name or synonyms for ๅ…จ็œŸ้“(Quanzhen Tao). I know everything you said pertaining to the Quanzhen Tao is true because I know the language but others aren't. So, please make the correction to avoid any future challenges about the legit of the Taoist sect.
  20. So, what Neidan is all about? Well, according to the definition of the DCXM, Neidan is the cultivation of the inner mind and the inner body. When the inner mind and body of a person become purified from contamination, it was said to be that a person has attained to a state with a true mind and true body. Hence, this person becomes a ็œŸไบบ(true person) without contaminant and that is why a highly cultivated Taoist priest was being addressed as.
  21. amanita muscaria and taoist practice

If you practice Tai Chi or Taoist practice is suffice for your health. Why do you think that you need to take amanita muscaria or some other supplements?
  22. Daily timetable of the Quanzhen retreat

I think the seven schools of Zhen Dao that you are referring to are the schools of the seven disciples of the Wang Zhongyang(็Ž‹้‡้™ฝ). The proper description of the schools should be identified as the "seven schools of Quanzhen Tao", ๅ…จ็œŸ้“; but why did you drop the first character Quan(ๅ…จ) in your description, Vitalli? You see how that creates a big confusion? These are the seven schools of Quanzhen Tao.

It is rather confusing with the Taoist terminologies when they are putted into English. For example, ๅ…จ็œŸ้“(Quanzhen Tao), All True Tao was commented by members of TTB that is not good English. If we drop the first character ็œŸ้“(Zhen Tao), then we have "True Tao". Why should we be so concerned about the nomenclature rather than its contents? Do we always judge the book by its cover? Come on. IMO Vitalii and Zhen Tao are legitimate.
  24. Taoism & Confucianism - surely no way?

The distinctive differences are: Confucian is intentional and Taoist is unintentional. Wu Wei(็„ก็‚บ) is unintentional. You Wei(ๆœ‰็‚บ) is intentional.
  25. Become Taoist Priest?

IMO A true Taoist is manifested by one's cultivated behavior but not by certification. Certification means to buy a piece of paper with money where some people make a profit out of it.
