  1. Can anyone see the Wu-Wei yet?

Don't you.....??? I am just curious to ask; where are the principles of Tao came from....???
  2. Can anyone see the Wu-Wei yet?

An atheistic Taoist does not believe in immortality but only follow the basic fundamental principles of Nature as model.
  3. the Tao isn't taoist

A Taoist is human. What about Tao.....???

  5. Lower back pain in meditation

Indeed...!!!. That would put oneself in a very dynamic mode for balance. I would rather sit like that, at least, with my head lean forward to pass the vertical....
  6. Lower back pain in meditation

Your problem with breathing is most definitely cause you to feel slouch due to hypoxia(lack of oxygen). The keyboard on the laptop is much narrower than the regular one. Especially when you type on a sofa, it may cause your shoulders to tense up with stiffness. The former is a more serious problem then the latter, I would suggest that you work on your simple breathing problem first. Also, try to work on your laptop on a desk which will give you less stress on the shoulders. I would lean forward a little bit while sitting during meditation, as suggested by some practitioners, to avoid a stiff back. If you have the back too straight or lean back, your upper body tends to fight the vertical for balance and that is very stressful.
  7. article about Dao

Okay, thank you. I guess I got hung up on the definition of "complement".
  8. Can anyone see the Wu-Wei yet?

Greetings.... I hope Taoists do have some concerns about the health of their bodies, otherwise they wouldn't want to go through all the troubles to be an immortal. I am sure that wasn't acquired with a minimum effort. Yes, in general, "there is no distinction between nature and the Life of all living things"; but there is a difference in philosophy between a Taoist and Buddhist. The issue here is the philosophy rather than a general argument. I believe the notion about "minimum effort" was derived from the idea of "Wu Wei" in most case for some individuals. I will not go into the part about "with minimum effort they achieve maximum results in harmony with the collective whole." Indeed, this concept is not too far out of reach.
  9. Can anyone see the Wu-Wei yet?

A Taoist is more concern in dealing with Nature. While, a Buddhist is more concern in dealing with the life of all living things.
  10. Thank you very much....!!! The black and white are the symbolic Yin-Yang colors for dignifying and showing the highest respect for the arts of Tai Ji Chuan. It manifests the spirit of Tai Ji during practice. In addition, it helps to integrate the mind and the body holistically for coordination. Try not to miss the breathing too.
  11. article about Dao

What do you mean by "their.......are complementary".....??? If the "True meaning and interpretation of old and modern characters' writing are not far away from each other", then why "Probably the description of the ancient character of Dao should be added into the article."...???
  12. Can anyone see the Wu-Wei yet?

The beginning of Heaven and Earth before human intervention. Some may think that human is part of Nature but human has a nature of one's own.
  13. Can anyone see the Wu-Wei yet?

Wu Wei, η„‘η‚Ί, is do nothing adversely to interrupt with the course of Nature. This is the proper definition in the Tao Te Ching. By do nothing or doing nothing does not define the philosophy of Wu Wei. "Do nothing" is not the correct definition, for Lao Tze, in the Tao Te Ching.
  14. ...

He seems to be having lots of practice. He had done the routine with finesse and very consistent. One would call it "the mind and the body are integrated as one." The movements of arms and legs are fully in coordination with the intent of the mind(yi, 意). Very good demo. Thanks.
  15. Tai Chi and directing the Chi

The hardest part is how long will you practice it diligently. You will never able to locate and direct chi around the body. The chi will take effect inside your body, automatically, only from a prolong period of practice. Yes, it is very very good for your health.
  16. ...

Yes, I had done this before and open for criticism. http://thetaobums.com/topic/20069-simpleffective-chi-kung-demo/ In deep concentration with the eyes closed. http://thetaobums.com/topic/25612-meditation-the-yi-in-the-mind-shown-by-the-hands/
  17. Like weapons?

Handle a weapon requires Nei li(ε…§εŠ›) which acquired from the practice of NeiKung(ε…§εŠŸ). The more Nei Li one has will help one to handle the weapon more skillfully.

Thanks. I do this all the time also. It is very fundamental for Chi Kung. It is a matter of understand the principle of the neikung arts.

  21. Immortality: Yin & Yang or Pure Yang ?!

It has been known that the human world was considered to be "Yang, ι™½ι–“"; and the under world of the ghosts is considered to be "Yin, ι™°ι–“" or any spiritual figures are considered to be "Yin". By definition, an immortal is the spiritual soul which left a human body, therefore, an immortal is classified as "Yin". Humans cook foods with fire(yang), that is why a living human being is considered to be Yang. However, the ghosts and immortals do not touch cooked human foods by fire, therefore, they are not considered to be Yang but Yin.
  22. When the body has more fresh sperms, it seems to provoke the desire to have sex. I think the new sperms are being manufactured have a lot to do with the libido, in the first three days, after ejaculation. Here is an idea which might help to understand why a male gets so horny, three days, after ejaculation. Read more: How long does it take sperm to build back up? | Answerbag http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/194261#ixzz2hRD2grZA "A few hours for some...3 days for full amount and tops off at that point. However, you can 'demand' that the sperm be produced sooner by having more orgasms over a short period of time and then waiting. This will cause your body to produce more sperm thinking that this is the 'normal' sexual activity that should be occur." Correction: It takes 70 - 75 days for sperms to be matured. It take three days for sperms to be produced to reach the peak number.
  23. You welcome...!!! Yes, this is what I meant; you have to ejaculate once awhile to keep yourself sexual active to maintain your libido.
  24. 1. Your libido goes up, most of the time, for teenagers. It is because their reproductive systems were under development. Thus their libido is very high which given them the urge to masturbate. Unfortunately, the urgency will make them do it excessively which cause serious health and mental problems. 2. As people grow older, the libido goes lower and requires more stimulants to provoke their desire. 3. I think the genital area is more sensitive, in the first three days, when new sperms were being reproduced. After that the third day, the genital becomes desensitized due to less sexual activity. Indeed, to keep the libido high, one must keep the sexual activity in moderation. Otherwise, the desire goes low if not too active.
  25. After you lose your energy by releasing it, your sperms will be reproduced in three days. Then, your libido drive will be high. It will be low again after the energy was released again. If you don't release the energy right away, then the drive will be less and less day by day. Until you release it again, then, the drive goes up again in three days. IME This seems like a normal biological effect in the reproduction cycle. FYI Your sperms mature in three days after ejaculation. That is why doctors recommend their patients not to sex three days before a sperm count test.
