  1. article about Dao

There is no difference in interpretation because they are only differ in style of calligraphy. The styles change in time for simplification and less strokes for writing. That's all......!!! The calligraphic styles change evolved with time
  2. All views shown with each form..... http://blog.163.com/tlshaofu@126/blog/static/823291052012101652453224/
  3. Rotating the Lower Dan Tien

Good question...!!! Who is going to come up with a good answer for this one.....???
  4. A Taoist integrates with Nature by using its natural resources to nourish oneself; and breathe the universal Chi to enhance the functions of the body to maintain the state of homeostasis and attain longevity.
  5. An End to Killing Taoist Movie.

That would be another movie made under a non-Taoist plot.........
  6. Kung Fu Quest Video: Tai Chi

I think the comment was: "I must take advantage to experience the true feeling myself in learning the real thing by going into combat."
  7. How does form arise out of emptiness?

hehehehe......Thanks...!!! I guess you can do that since you have never claimed that you are a Taoist......
  8. An End to Killing Taoist Movie.

The story was about Kangaskhan had ordered a high Taoist Priciest(丘處機) to bring him the elixir for longevity. However, the high Priciest told Kangaskhan that there was no elixir ever existed but there is only a method for preserving life. In order to preserve lives, one must not kill others. At the end, finally, Kangaskhan took his advice by issuing a decree to cease all massacres and executions.
  9. How does form arise out of emptiness?

Wouldn't you say that I am the translator instead of using one....??? If you can find a TTC translator, then please let me know. I will pay for it at any price........ Steve.... I couldn't agree with you more if we rephrase lines 3 and 4 of Chapter 1 to say: 3. Tao was existed before the origin of heaven and earth. 4. Tao is the mother of all things.
  10. How does form arise out of emptiness?

I didn't say that but Lao Tze did. Lao Tze said that in Line 3 of Chapter 40. Chapter 40 40 3. 3. All things in the world are engendered from "You(有)". 4. "You(有)" was engendered from "Wu(無)". BY the definitions given in Chapter 1: "You" and "Wu" are the two given names to Tao. These two names came from the same origin which is Tao. Tao is never visible. When it's visible, literally, that is when all things were created by her. Then, Tao becomes manifested. If we rephrase lines 3 and 4 by using the understandable terms, it is effectively what they are saying: 3. All things in the world are engendered from Tao. 4. Tao was engendered from Tao.
  11. How does form arise out of emptiness?

How about the natural already existed invisible Tao becomes visible by the manifestation of all things which she had created....??? Tao becomes visible literally means that "when all things became visible after Tao's creation", Tao was manifested but still invisible rather than visible in any form. @MH How did you like that? Did I get out of this one....??? hehehehe
  12. How does form arise out of emptiness?

How about these two statements: Chapter 1 3. 3. Invisible was the name given to Tao at the origin of heaven and earth. 4. Visible was the name given to Tao as the mother of all things. Tao was invisible before heaven and earth. Tao becomes visible after all things were created.
  13. How does form arise out of emptiness?

This idea came from Chapter 40 in reference to Chapter 1 about "Wu(無)" and "You(有)" Chapter 40 40 3. 3. All things in the world are engendered from "You(有)". 4. "You(有)" was engendered from "Wu(無)". Alternative translation: 3. All things of the world came from Visible. 4. Visible came from Invisible. Notes: 1. "Visible" was a name given to Tao in the visible state. 2. "Invisible" was a name given to Tao in the invisible state. PS.... Due to the language limitation, this the best I can do to transpose the idea across.
  14. How does form arise out of emptiness?

I think the idea of "to create anything from a state of pure emptiness" was from the TTC. The visible(Tao) came from the invisible(Tao). When Tao was in the invisible state, it doesn't mean that Tao is non-existent but she is there and has a great potential power to create, When Tao is visible, all things are manifested by her creation. It was said to be the "state of pure emptiness" when Tao is in the invisible state. However, in your own terms, the "the state of emptiness" is not a very good choice for the description of Tao when Tao was in the invisible state.
  15. Chapter 2, Section 2 Concepts

This seems to be a better interpretation... An intellect is full of wisdom and vast knowledge; a mediocre is always square accounts in every detail. Those who harangues are full of empty talks. Those who are not eloquent always argues endlessly. When they are asleep, their spirits were still socializing with others. When they woke up, their bodies become active by interacting with other people. They were intrigue against each other. People with Indulgence, insidious ones, and recluses become frightened with a little intimidation; They are even more anxious if they were threatened in a bigger scale. When they talk , they seem like a shooting arrow which make them vulnerable by putting themselves in a controversial situation. Those who did not speak but complained within their hearts were to kept them ahead of victory. Thus it would seem like greeting the arrival of autumn and winter. The inner nature of oneself was tormented vigorously. One would be immersed oneself in one's own action. Hence, returning back to the starting point is no longer possible. Their hearts seem like tied with a knot of a rope and followed along the path of old age and deterioration. With a notion of approaching death, then, there was no chance given for revitalization. Happiness, anger, sadness, and joyfulness causing them to repeatedly worry and regret with fear. Their dissolute extravagance and the indulgent attitude seem like the musical sounds which came from the hollows of a flute; and also it was like the mushrooms produced from the summer steams. This kinds of superficial phenomena are mutating and replacing each other up front, who knows who is behind all this....??? Forget it.....!!! Forget it.....!!! As soon as one knows the reasons for all this happening, then, one would have understood the reasons for the vitalization of all in the Universe.
  16. Juice: Radical Taiji Energetics

I am not claiming I am an expert but I can only tell you what I think I know from my empirical experience. The practice Tai Ji helps the body to develop an internal strength. This internal strength is very immense which is called "Jin" in Tai Ji. In regards to the "light touch", it was no light touch. Basically, to hold the opponent in place, his resisting force that was required is equal to the weight + the pushing force of the opponent. In order to pushing the opponent to fly away, then an additional force would be much greater is needed. That being said, the body cannot be relaxed as someone claims. From your personal experience as a body worker, you have notice that "his posture is rather hunched". I gathered that was due to his physical condition rather than by choice. Otherwise, he would have much greater pushing strength. Despite to his physical condition, it seems to me that he did put in a lot of effort in developing his Jin by practicing Tai Ji. He could have a better balance of himself without leaning forward and lifting or moving his foot if he does not have the hunched condition. It is very important to keep the waist straight with the vertical, in martial arts, for balance. However, I think he is doing great for what he is capable of despite to his physical condition. 17. Dear MODS..... I am encountering with the following problems with the editor: 1. I am not able to use the color feature. 2. After one post was posted, the next post was combined with the previous one. 3. The cursor must be stayed within the editor for the typing entry. 4. The highlight becomes ineffective when the cursor goes outside the editor. 5. Sometimes, the cursor would not go out of the "quote" window and adding more blank windows. 6. In the MultiQuote, adds blank windows. It only works in one page of the thread. If I want to use it from two different pages, then it does not combine the multiquotes. All the above cause lots of time consuming because of the repetitions of mouse click, in order, to return the cursor back into the editor.
  18. A note to the MODS about the editor problem

I have version 9. I will try to update it to 10 then. Thanks. Actually, I am having trouble with the Editor when the cursor is outside of the Editor, all the functions cease.

  20. A note to the MODS about the editor problem

Internet Explorer doesn't have spell check.
  21. Chapter 2, Section 2 Concepts

Great knowledge is much too broad; and small knowledge is much too scrupulous. Big talks are brash. Small talks are too talkative. When they are asleep, their minds were still perturbed with disturbance; when they are awake, their overall being was unpeaceful. When they associate with society, they were intrigue against each other. Some of them were carefree; and some were troubled with vexed issues. Some were very careful and prudent. Some were haunted with constant fear with the small issues. Some become depressed with bigger issues. When they are carrying out their plans, it was like the fast speed of a shooting arrow. At times, they did not carry out their plans is because they want to avoid controversy. They stopped to speak is like a vow which was a defensive tactic for the sake of victory. Their decline seems like the scenery of the autumn wind in a chilly winter. For what have being said, they were getting weaker day by day. They become weaken within their normal activities, there was no way that they can return to their original state. They have their hearts hidden within silence which indicates that they were withered and deteriorated. Their hearts were approaching death which cannot be returned with vitality. Joyfulness, angry, sadness, happiness, worries, sigh, metamorphosis, fear, frivolous , peacefulness, dissolute, and wanton: they seem like the musical sounds produced from the empty space of the musical instruments; they also seem like the mushrooms shooting out by the steams from the ground. They were mutually replacing each other; but we don't know how they were sprouted and came about....!!!
  22. Digestion problem

It sounds like you have a serious internal problem with your stomach. This is not something that you can handle yourself. To find a solution to your problem, you need to find out what is your problem first. Please follow the advice of Seeker of Tao. Go see a doctor and get a lab test.
  23. Dagon.... Good! If you want to use both, then the compound characters would be in this order(mentally anyway): 虛無: void with nothingness Just FYI.... If the characters are reversed, then it would mean: 無虛: nothing voided.
  24. You welcome Dagon. 無: none; don't have; nothingness (but not void); non(can be used as prefix); 虛: void
