  1. qigong for kidney yang deficiency ?

Okay, I think I understand what these sayings are all about. It was just an extra step of saying something in a different way. Here is my understand of interpret the Five Element Chart. For example, the Water feeds Wood by the Green arrow, in the diagram, only has one direction. What that indicates is that Water will feed what it has to the Wood until water runs out. I think the insulting sequence says, in another way, by stating that the Wood was sucking all the water out of Water. Since Water is active and Wood is passive, I think the proper way of saying should be "the Water was ran out and has no more to provide for the Wood" instead of blaming that "the Wood was sucking up all the Water". What do you think.....???
  2. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

Hi, oreothecookie..... IMO You have taken the right approach to correct your asthma and allergy conditions. Please keep in mind, Chi Kung is a cure for your illness but in doesn't happen in one day or two. It needs to be taken some preliminary steps in practice before getting the final result. In deed, you should be expecting some unpleasant moments at the beginning. The tingling feeling is normal for beginners which means the physiological effect was taken place inside your body. The feeling of suffocation will go away after your diligent practice. It will take some time depends on your determination and patience. Since your questions were addressed to Sifu Terry, I will say no more until he responds to you. Good luck......
  3. qigong for kidney yang deficiency ?

Okay, based on what was being said, it should apply to all the Five Elements. If one fails, then it will be contradictory to all the other. Let's say, Water douses Fire and Fire vaporizes Water. What about the interactions between the Wood and Metal...??? Metal chops the Wood, then, what are the insulting sequences for the Wood to Metal and Water to Earth.....???
  4. qigong for kidney yang deficiency ?

Let's hear what the western science has to say about fatigue. Fatigue was caused by the hypoxia in the muscle cells for producing the biochemical energy ATP. The glucose from the food was converted into lactic acid or lactate which cause the muscle pains and fatigue. Based on this fact about the lack of oxygen, I practice chi kung to breathe more oxygen into my body. Ever since then, I've feel very energetic and never feel fatigue again. Even after some hard work in the yard, muscles do not stiffen up like it used to be. At the time I am fatigue was due to lack of the source of energy which food. It is better not to do any more exercise until the body is recuperated and returned to the normal condition. Otherwise, one will introduce further burden to deplete the energy in the body which will cause more body exhaustion.
  5. qigong for kidney yang deficiency ?

It is something new to me. How so foundational...??? Please enlighten me a little...!!! Thank you....
  6. qigong for kidney yang deficiency ?

It seems that there is something wrong about this chart. The insulting sequence does not exist in to Five Elements System. Someone might be mistakenly added to the system will cause misinterpretation.
  7. qigong for kidney yang deficiency ?

By definition, kidney yang deficiency means that the kidney need to take some supplements which it is lack of. Therefore, I don't think Chi Kung or acupuncture will help.
  8. Nocturnal Emission Prevention Techniques

If it occur three to four times a week, then that is a health problem. If one time in two to four week, then you are in good health.
  9. Orgasmic Mundanity

    Well, good luck with it......
  10. Orgasmic Mundanity

To tell you the truth, the Lower Dan Tian(LDT) doesn't generate nor store energy. It was a misconception by many people. People are paying too much attention to the term LDT by itself. LDT is just a position to be located in the body. LDT is only part of the abdomen just below the navel. It is only a location of the body which has no biological functions. LDT is so important in Chi Kung because when we breathe it expands. It is the most noticeable portion of the abdomen during Chi Kung practice. Some people may not and cannot breathe deeply into the LDT. The purpose of Chi Kung is to practice breathing until one can send the breath deep down to the LDT, so to speak. In the ancient time, when the practitioner of Chi Kung breathed deeply down to the LDT, the body energy level increased tremendously. At the time, they didn't realize that their bodies having an internal biological effect was due to the greater amount of oxygen that they breathed in. According to modern science, the greater amount of oxygen actually increase the rate of metabolism. That will enhance the functions of the organs and self healing too. Any stagnation in the body will be cleared due to the sudden awaken of the organs. Stagnation means any illnesses inside the body such partial dysfunction of the organs, bad cells, low number of blood cell counts and etc. The awaken of the organs will perform their functions more efficiently. The damaged body cells will be repaired, all body wastes will be removed at a faster rate. What is all this lead to was paying attention to and given all the credit to the LDT. It is because the LDT expands; and it was the most noticeable thing happens when we breathe. Therefore, the expansion of the LDT is the sign of enhancing the body to function indirectly. The body generates its own energy within the body cells. Our body requires food and oxygen to generate to energy. However, to generate a great amount of energy, a supply of large amount of oxygen is needed constantly. In order to provide a large amount of oxygen, it can be done by expanding the LDT during breathing to increase the volume of the lungs for more air intake. Hence, the more air intake means more oxygen in the air that the blood can delivered to the body cells for cell respiration. Now, we can conclude why the LDT is so important in Chi Kung practice.
  11. Nocturnal Emission Prevention Techniques

The problem with the term "Qi", in the west, only has one definition as "energy" and refused other possible definitions. Thus that is their only hing up. "Jing" is an ambiguous term, even an ordinary Chinese still couldn't come out with a definite explanation. Before the "semen retention", the original idea was "essence retention". However, once, it was mistakenly though that 精, Jing(essence) were semen(精液) by some Taoists. Since then, they came up with the idea about semen retention. Unfortunately, somehow the whole conceptual idea about "essence retention" were twisted to become "semen retention". Note: The character 精 was used for essence(精) and semen(精液). It was easily to be mistakenly understood the difference between the two. I believe sperms were not known by the Taoists, at the time, because semen was only visible to them. Maybe that is why they came up with the idea of "semen retention".
  12. Taoist proof that we can't ignore

    Please explain....!!!
  13. Nocturnal Emission Prevention Techniques

Yes, NE is not healthy was just a myth from the ancient Taoists who thought they were loosing Jing. Loosing Jing will cause them to shorten their lives for longevity. @ dmattwads...I believe in western science(not medicine) more than the concepts in the TCM.
  14. Orgasmic Mundanity

IMO, the energy has to be generated rather than have it stored. I would change this phrase to read as follows: "use it or lose it" is what im thinking, but at the same time, the LDT should be able to store it all generate it. Yes, this would mean constantly meditating. My definition of meditation is that one must include abdominal breathing in the practice.
  15. An Altar for Sree

Well, I am a Chinese-American Did you know a western mind is equal to the Chinese heart. In the ancient time, the Chinese once thought that the heart was the central point of the body. Thus they thought the heart was the center of the body which does all the thinking. However, even though people still say I used my heart to think, but it was still understood that the brain was doing all the thinking.
  16. Nocturnal Emission Prevention Techniques

Hi Universal.... According to what you are telling me, you are completely normal. "I always dream about the opposite sex in my sleep when this happens." As a matter of fact, I think you are a very healthy man. I think you have mentioned that you had broke up with your gf in another thread. Please keep in mind, when your reservoir was full, it will spill since you have no place for drainage. IMO It is very natural to have nocturnal emissions in your case for most males. "I would say my sexual urges have decreased since this started." Your urges have decreased is because your energy was used up at night. Therefore, it decreases your normal urges in the regular basis. If you want to keep the libido in tact and to compensate the energy from the nocturnal emissions, what you can do is practice static Chi Kung. I know someone is feeding you a lot of information that you might not be able to grasp. Actually, all the names had given for Chi Kung are just fancy names. Believe it or not, the basic principle is the same and has the same effect on your body internally. I think I had given you an offer to assist with the Chi Kung practice, but you had declined because you were interested in the "Spring Forest Qi Gong". Indeed, it is fine as long as you practice it diligently. If you have any question I am glad to assist you through PM....... Here is my advice. If you have decided to practice Chi Kung and learn it form someone, then stay with one style and one instructor. So, you won't be confused with the flooded information that someone was given you.
  17. Nocturnal Emission Prevention Techniques

May I ask you this...??? Maybe it'll give me a rough idea about your health condition. Are you easily aroused....??? Do you consider that your body has a great urge for sexual activity...??? Do you think about the opposite sex in your sleep when that happens....???
  18. The Principle and Logic of Tao Philosophy

The way I understand it, the duality are two things which are complementary to each other. I can understand that "dual/non-dual" as complements by themselves, logic wise. However, the term "Wu & non-dual" does not register in my logical mind. In addition, what is "Yu/You", is it 有...??? Why do you think that Dual is in connection with them, I see no correlation between them. Finally, what's duality to me, in Chapter One, are Wu(無) and You(有). The diagram looks good, it resembles the duality of Wu and You in Chapter One which correspond the Concept of Yin-Yang in the Yi Jing. However, I would prefer to replace "Mystery" with "Wu" and replace "Manifest" with "You" to have a much clear picture.
  19. Taoist proof that we can't ignore

"These three cultivated conditions are the ultimate realm for a person to attain as an immortal." The key word is "immortal". Immortal is not human nor the dead. PS.... The philosophy was only from the ancient Taoists with a religious point of view. It was all conceptual from the past. There is no physical evidence of proofs.
  20. Taoist proof that we can't ignore

"精足不思欲 , 氣足不思食 , 神足不思睡" The abundance of Jing will not cause one to think about desire. The abundance of Chi will not cause one to think about eating. The abundance of Shen will not cause one to think about sleep. These three cultivated conditions are the ultimate realm for a person to attain as an immortal.
  21. The Principle and Logic of Tao Philosophy

In the Tao Te Ching, the are Tao and tao. Tao is a proper noun; and tao is a principle. The use "Wu and Yu as well-defined concepts to describe how Tao works" It seems to me Chapter one use Wu and You to describe the appearance of Tao instead of how Tao works. Based on your thinking, how does Tao work to you.....???
  22. Would not be sufficient cause for the path to exist

I know what you are saying, that was what the westerner translators had been telling me. I just I wish I can accept that but it's still doesn't hold water in logical thinking nor in a scholarly manner. I don't think it was a matter who read it but what was the original meaning of the text regardless what language was written in nor who to you read it to. 故 善 人 者 , 1. Therefore, those people who are kind, 2. Therefore men who seek to live by perfection I cannot accept that line 2 is a translation of the classic text because it is not what it says. Now, what is wrong by telling to all what it means. What should I tell the Chinese one thing; and then tell the westerners something else or tell them what they want to hear instead of the true meaning. It just doesn't make sense at all.
  23. The Tao of Dying

Sorry, to be so late to ask the question at this point in time. "The Tao of Dying" Did you mean "The way of dying" or "The principle of dying"......???
  24. An Altar for Sree

Now, the orange is an oil lamp......
  25. The Principle and Logic of Tao Philosophy

"The Oneness or Nonduality of Tao appears as a pair of Dualistic Realities in the world." I still cannot get over your idea of "Oneness or Nonduality of Tao". Then, you've contradicted yourself with "Nonduality of Tao appears as a pair of Dualistic Realities in the world."
