  1. Ask an acupuncturist

I think the answer is yes. Even though, the acupuncturists said no, I will justify it later.
  2. Qi blockages as knots

Yes, it was first to me. I didn't buy it. Finally, I waited for a long time to have knowledgeable TCM practitioners to reveal its definition.
  3. Qi blockages as knots

气停滞 It is an TCM esoteric term used by TCM practitioners. It simply means a certain organ or organic system was malfunction. It's the language that TCM practitioners use it that an ordinary person wouldn't understand. People just took its direct meaning for granted without knowing the actual meaning of it.
  4. Tai Chi Master online?

It is easily to show the effectiveness of Taiji in slow motion. None of us will see this happening in the fighting ring. Especially, when gloves were worn.
  5. Reflecting on TDB

No, not ya. It's just me.
  6. deleted

It seems there was a big misunderstanding between Laotze's 道與德(principle of Tao and virtue of Tao) and Confucius's 道德(virtue of morality).
  7. Dantian Disappeared?

@Seeker1 Sorry to hear about your problem. I am, also, sorry that I was not here to help you due to my absence for awhile. I don't know if you are still here or not. Your description is the worth thing that could happened to a teenager. I thought I had read someone else here with the worse case but not. You were! In most cases, excessive masturbation will cause continuous pain to the left side of the abdomen. It was not a very comfortable feeling. However, there is a way to cure it. I understand that you had abdominal message by someone performed on you before. Your problem still didn't go away. Apparently, the person did not message at the right place for you. There two place should be applied by the acupressure method. They are the navel and 1 to 2 inches below the navel area. Pressure should be applied with both the index and middle fingers for a few minutes. The pain should be disappeared right away. There are some special instruction for the acupressure method. I had placed many times here but just couldn't find it again. Maybe my friend @Cobie could help me find that. She is very good at that sort of things.
  8. Actual purpose of the dantian?

Thank you for asking! This subject had been brought up many times. There is no data to back up what it is. Everyone has a diffenent definition. One can only believe what was introduced to or heard of. To me from my native source, dantian is only a description of a place holder for the abdomen. In martial arts, there is a famous saying "氣沈丹田" (sink chi to the dantian). When a slow deep and long breathing was taken, the abdomen was fully expanded. It was said to be "氣沈丹田" (sink chi to the dantian). Some people call this the dantian breathing. It is simple as that. However, people like to use dantian to explain all kinds of ideas. Indeed, the term becomes wild and confusion for those who have no idea what it is.
  9. 忠孝节义,作主语、宾语、定语,成语,中华传统美德,四字美德:忠、孝、节、义 。 四字美德: the four characters of the virtue.
  10. Could anyone introduce me to the basics of daoism?

Chapter 1 The introduction of Tao 1. 1. Tao that can be spoken is not the eternal Tao. 2. A name that can be named is not an eternal name. 3. Invisible, was a name given to Tao at the origin of sky and earth. 4. Visible, was a name given to Tao as the mother of all things. 5. Hence, when Tao is always invisible, one would grok its quale. 6. When Tao is always visible, one would observe its boundary. 7. These two come from one origin but differ in name, 8. Both are regarded as unfathomable, the most occult and profound; 9. The gate of all changes.
  11. Ask an acupuncturist

Okay! Let me ask you this. Do you normally stick a needle in the area where the pain is or put a needle somewhere else?
  12. Ask an acupuncturist

@Maddie One more question. From throwing knives, it caused a pain on my the right side of my neck for two years. I was carrying a backpack climbing the Great Wall of China. When I have gone up to the top, my neck was painful like hell. I promised myself, when I get home, to get a book on acupuncture to kill this miserable pain. Indeed, I bought this book I had mentioned above and got rid of the pain in 5 minutes. In many cases, I had found the reflecting points to get rid of many pains at different spots on my body. Just for amusement, how would you go about curing my neck pain of the right side?
  13. Ask an acupuncturist

Thank you! You have given me the answer that I wanted to hear. Your idea was always presented by the Chinese TCM society. This something always bothers me. In my conclusion, by relating the eastern information and western modern science, I would like to think that the acupoints are laid exactly on the nerves. For that said, the acupoints are part of the nerves in the nervous system. A pain in the body was activated by nerve sensor of the sympathetic system. By sticking a needle in the nerve sensor of the parasympathetic system will deactivate the pain. The sequence of event, whichever comes first, may be vice versa between the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems.
  14. Ask an acupuncturist

I know you didn't say so. You did implicate that there is a connection but I just couldn't pin point it. That is why I asked the question.
  15. Ask an acupuncturist

This is where my problem lies with this contradiction. How can the nerves be activated without any connection?
  16. Ask an acupuncturist

There is an sensation when the needle hits an acupoint. You don't think the sensation was coming from the nervous system. I am sure you have read the book, Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibution. I have both the Chinese and English version. In the book, it points out that each acupoint innervates certain nerve in our body. What do you think about that? I have followed the mapping of the meridian. They are concurrent with all the nerves in the human body. The Chinese claims that even through the meridians are concurrent with the nerves system, but still they are not related. This is something that I cannot related to or accept. What do you think about that?
  17. Follow nature

人法地: human follows earth 地法天: earth follows sky 天法道: sky follows Tao 道法自然: Tao follows its own nature(own-self). I didn't see anything in the TTC says to follow nature but not to interfere with nature. Let nature take its course(無為). To obtain Tao is simply means to observe the principles of Tao. Tao is not related to nature. Tao overlooks nature to assure things are run properly on their course. Good or bad, nature has no mercy.
  18. Ask an acupuncturist

Did you learn about the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems in the acupuncture class or discovered that on your own study?
  19. Ask an acupuncturist

Do you think that all of the acupoints is riding on all the nerves throughout the human body?
  20. Ask an acupuncturist

Thank you very much for your prompt response!
  21. Ask an acupuncturist

Do you think that acupuncture has anything to with the human nervous system? If so, how does it relate to it? Have you ever studied the sympathetic and the parasympathetic systems?
  22. Follow nature

One sentence will not say it all. It is the principle that applies to all. Humans learn from the disasters to cope with them in the future. There is nothing to follow disasters in a negative way.
  23. Two down, more to go!
  24. Follow nature

IMO Follow nature doesn't mean to do exactly what nature does. It simply means to cope with nature. For example, flood is a natural cause of nature. The following action was dictated by nature is to avoid the flood by going to higher places. Indeed, it is not possible for human to create flood by following nature.
  25. I was able to delete all the posts of JKJB in my PPD. I think it is very dangerous for us to have such option. May I ask the Adm to cease this option for future confusion and mistakes?
