  1. Dangers of acupunture?

In general, wasn't that being understood as common sense .....??? The deeper one are typical, if the needle goes in at an angle might cause some kind of sensation or irritation. At this point, the needle is puncture perpendicularly 1.5 - 2.5 inches. Innervation: 1. The inferior gluteal cutaneous nerve 2. the inferior gluteal nerve 3. Deeper, the sciatic nerve
  2. Zazen, Dazuo(打坐), and Meditation

Now, by comparison between Meditation and Dazuo in breathing: 1. Meditation: breathe softly and naturally. 2. Dazuo(打坐) or Zenzuo(禪坐): Regulates the breathing. Now we have established the difference in breathing. Hereinafter, we can also distinguish the difference between Meditation and Dazuo. From the definitions above are well defined for clarity. Now, I can go into the difference between Chi Kung and Neigong. Why is Chi Kung and Nei Kung are so confusing? Let's follow the sequence of events, one begins as an ordinary person which has no Wu Kung(武功) experiences. That means one has to start with breathing first with Dazuo. His breathing must reach deep down to the abdomen. When that was accomplished, it was considered to be that the goal of the Ultimate Method of Breathing(UMB) has been met. The whole precess is called Static or Stillness Chi Kung. Then goes into the next stage which one might call it the Dynamic Chi Kung with slow movements.
  3. Dangers of acupunture?

The acupuncture points are from 0.1 to 1.0 inch in depth. The needle has to go down deeper will produce more pain.
  4. "Minor Death" in Longmen Pai

This something I had read in some fictional Chinese Kung Fu stories. "Minor death" is when the practitioner at the point almost reached to the highest realm will be passed out. If he come back from the transient, he will survive and had reached the highest realm. Otherwise, he won't come back at all and died instead.
  5. I want a diploma.

Well, a diploma is such an immaterial object, why you are so attached to it....???
  6. Oh yeah, he tried everything and hanged himself in the closet.
  7. ...

That is good for a zigzag walk. That's what I do on those boring cruises around the ship.
  8. Yes, Kung Fu comes in all styles. It happens to be that Ba Gua is a Taoist style rather than Buddhist. Have you seen any Buddhist monk practice Ba Gua yet. I can tell you one thing though. Tai Ji is a Taoist style and popular throughout the world. Hence, the shaolin(少林) monks have picked that up for its market value. FYI Chi Kung is universal. Anyone can practice it.

  10. I want a diploma.

Congratulations, Icedude Finally, you got your official license. Ops... it is not the one that you wanted for Nirvana.
  11. new verses of the DDJ

I thought: "Following the way gives strength."
  12. TBH, this site is quite useless in taoist forms.

May I ask? Don't you allow room for correction and improvement...???
  13. Wonder woman pose. Qi Gong?

Oh, that was not for a smart ass but, just in case, for those who didn't know.
  14. Zazen, Dazuo(打坐), and Meditation

The characters 趺坐調氣 from the video with the monk, let CD(the Chinese Dummy) say what is that meant. 趺坐: sit in lotus position(an esoteric Buddhist term) 調氣: regulate the breathing(it is an universal term) 調息: is another term that was used for 調氣. There is a special breathing technique for the regulation of 調氣. Most people saw the character 氣(Chi), probably would say it is regulating energy. However, it was not that way because without 氣(breath) that is no 氣(energy). One must start with 氣(air), in order, to 調氣 to produce the energy within the body. Hence, 調氣 is to regulate breathing rather than regulate energy. 調氣 is to breath slowly and deep into the lower dan tian. During the 調氣 process, inhale with the abdomen expand outward; and exhale with the abdomen contract inward. Hereinafter, 調氣 will be referred as the Ultimate Method of Breathing(UMB) as CD's definition of Chi Kung throughout all his posts for consistency. Btw There is an advance method one can hold the breath but still can regulate by moving the breath up and down the Trachea. Thus regulating the breath up and down the Trachea without exhalation will not cause suffocation as oppose to just holding the breath.
  15. Wonder woman pose. Qi Gong?

I don't breathe naturally but slowly and deep down to the lower dan tian. That is what I meant by the UMB.
  16. The Ultimate Test

There is one trick in arm wrestle to keep one from loosing. Of course, both are with equal weight and strength. I have developed my muscle from Tai Ji and ZZ. How did you develop yours?
  17. Wonder woman pose. Qi Gong?

Well, well, well, without the map, I still can breathe. There is only one workable method of Chi Kung or Qi Gong for me. I have defined it as the Ultimate Method of Breathing(UMB).
  18. Wonder woman pose. Qi Gong?

I'm kind of lost! How did Chi Kung got involved with the body language....???
  19. TBH, this site is quite useless in taoist forms.

Sorry, were you looking for something because you didn't find it, then it's useless....??? Where is this somewhere....???
  20. The Ultimate Test

Thank you! I thought no one will ever ask the question. Of course, I have something to offer. Otherwise, I wouldn't have initiated this thread. I have developed an immense body strength much much stronger than before. I'd scheduled to meet one of the TTB members, in a local park with questions about Tai Ji Quan. I had demonstrated the Neigong ability developed from Tai Ji like Fa Jin, instantly, to him. He can witness that if he wish to come forward. I can project my voice, with one deep breath, up to a half minute from Chi Kung practice. In addition, my leg muscles are hard as a rock.
  21. Difference between Qigong and Neigong?

In the comparison of the result between Dazou and Meditation in Pos t#73 and Post #74, respectively, which method would be more effective for energy development....??? If one can refine down to the nuance of the two, then one will have no problem distinguishing which comes first, Chi Kung or Neigong....!!! Btw I will disclose the nuance between Chi Kung and Neigong in the "Zazen, Dazuo(打坐), and Meditation" thread in the General Discussion section.
  22. Zazen, Dazuo(打坐), and Meditation

This the 30 Days Meditation Challenge. .....But its also nice to share the meditative experience with someone else. You feel less like this is a feat you must do alone, and find comfort in the sounds of inhalation and exhalation of your meditation partner. In a strange way, it keeps you grounded. - See more at: http://www.holisticv...h.dVG9dRtY.dpuf In meditation, most of the time, breathing was merely mentioned in a light tone but not strongly emphasized as in Dazuo: regulating the breathing.
  23. Zazen, Dazuo(打坐), and Meditation

趺坐調氣 Obviously, this monk is at the Dazuo position, is he meditating or regulating his breathing....???
