  1. How do we lose our desire?

raz, the OP asked for advice and techniques on how to remove his desires but most of the replies are on why he shouldn't remove his desires and why desires are good. this is contray to what the OP asked for and I am not surprised the OP has not even posted a single reply in this thread. why bother arguing with people who do not hold your views and trying to bend them to your views?
  2. How do we lose our desire?

raz, the OP doesn't really care what desire is as long as he loses those desires.. put it simply, he wishes to lose his desire for women and friends.. he wishes to lose his desire for human contact.. is there anything wrong with that? is he hurting anyone by this "desire" of his? the desire to lose all other desires? of course not, it is plainly a lifestyle choice and no one, not even his parents and least of all, strangers on a forum, have the right to judge and criticize his lifestyle choice and force the OP to walk a path not chosen by him. to force someone to walk a path not chosen by him is a usurpation of free will and we all know someone who has usurped our free will at one point or another. it feels like being a slave to those who usurp your free will. do you like being a slave to those who usurp your free will? if not, then why would you usurp other's free will? edit: i am not talking about you specifically, raz or even the rest of this board.. it is just this general tendency of people "to know better" than the next person and forcing their views on others.. a prime example of this is vmarco who has been banned
  3. How do we lose our desire?

I would only ask, "is it any concern of yours what type of life the OP live?" Who are you to judge the life of another person on earth? This is the problem with too many people in this world. Too many people think that they know best, they think they know what is the best life for everybody and go around preaching to everyone how they should live their life. Well guess what, not every person on this planet likes the type of lifestyle with friends and girlfriends/wives and children. Some people like to isolate themselves from the rest of the populace as much as possible because it makes them happy and now you are telling these people who choose to isolate themselves that it is wrong to be happy? Good grief! Who die and make you guys the gods and controllers of this planet? Who gives you the right to determine what is and what is not a meaningful life on this planet?
  4. what else do 3-year retreat practitioners practice despite this reptitive chanting/breathing with the 100 syllable mantra?
  5. so how do you "surrender" in order to lose all personal preferences? how do you "surrender" in order to lose all traces of your human ego/identity.. this is what i am interested in..
  6. How do we lose our desire?

I believe the OP is clearly asking for advice on how to lose his desire yet there are people in here who wish to prevent the OP from reaching his goal. This is the problem with too many people in this world. They succumb to the group think mentality and refuse to acknowledge the path of the individual. If the OP wishes to lose his desires, what's wrong with that? Is it hurting any of you that a particular soul wishes to traverse a different path? Why are you guys discouraging him from walking a path of no desires? He has clearly stated that he wishes to lose all desires.
  7. Do long, slow breaths focusing on nothing but the breath itself aid one in surrendering? I have been getting this sneaky feeling that visualization including visualization of the chakras might not help too much with surrendering.. cos your intellectual mind is still at work and surrendering means letting go of your intellectual mind completely?
  8. If Lao Tzu, Shakayumi Buddha or Padmasambhava gets reborn again in this lifetime, do they still need energy transmissions to re-learn the path of Enlightenment?
  9. There is now a certain poster plus his supporters who are trying to push people away from pineal gland meditations. I would advise everyone to look carefully into the so-called concept of love meditation. The heart, love and emotions can never bring you into enlighenment. At the most, it can only transform you into a bodhisattva. To reach complete enlightenment, to become a buddha, to become part of the source, the wu wei, the emptiness again, pineal gland activation is completely neccessary! DO not exchange one set of tyrants for another! Free yourself!
  10. JESUS IS THE WAY!

I heard that J was a taoist, hindu, buddhist, sufi and kabbalist combined.
  11. who's afraid of love? when i walk on the streets, i focus on emptiness in my heart chakra.. there are several different versions of "love"..
  12. you gotta understand, there is this thing called fate and karma.. if the higher dimensions and heavens refuse to let you meet a human spiritual teacher, then no amount of outwards searching is gonna resolve this problem.. you will just waste too much time and money on your outward searches.. so for those unlucky ones like me who have to do it all alone, then we just have to grit our teeth and do it alone.. there is this saying when the gods wanna give immense power and responsibility to a human, first they test him and forge him well like a sword..
  13. LOL.. yes pride can be very subtle indeed..
  14. and i see the pride of.. "oh.. another noob to the meditation circle.." as i said VJ, you have no idea what i am like spiritually in person and how many master i have met and talked to of various traditions over the past year or so.. the youth of assuming they know everything..
  15. I think neither VJ nor anyone else for that matter know what kind of pitfalls I had gone through, especially the last 15 months or so, and I am still going through these pitfall.s Neither VJ nor anyone one else in this forum has ever encountered problems of my magnitude. Conventional wisdom is not gonna help me resolve my unconventional out-of-this-world problems. I have searched for the solutions in various countries and in the end, the answer is do it all on your own.
  16. On this day 13/08/2011, the world has changed like it has never changed before and is still changing. Yet people are still clinging on to old world assumptions. What makes you think I don't already have someone looking out for me from the other-worldly dimensions? A Master that has no guide doesn't mean he will be egoistic. The highest Masters of all learn direct from other-worldly non-human masters cos they have the potential to do so. When the student is ready, the master will appear. Any teacher who is willing to teach me, spiritual or human, will appear before me when the time is right. In the mean-time, I will just focus on pineal Jhana concentration meditation all on my own until I receive further instructions from a master, human or other-dimensional, who will appear in front of me magically instead of me searching on my own. No more outside searches. Only inner searches from now on.
  17. As I was doing this meditation, I realized the limitations of being centered in the heart, as is taught in many religions and metaphysical circles. Centering in the heart makes it more difficult to move energy up the spine because any issues we have about love could prevent the energy from going any higher than the heart chakra. This prevents us from activating the higher brain states. Told ya all.. Thanks my Friend for the link..
  18. People find love because they fear nor being loved. There is nothing to find. There is only "being". Being in the void, Being empty at all times, even in the heart.
  19. And who are you to define the lifestyle of fearless people?
  20. Which one is more important for the process of Enlightenment? The activation of the pineal gland or the activation of the heart mind?
  21. i would say that the fear of not being good enough is prevalent in many writers
