  1. Alright, this is a strange one I guess. When I was younger I was always interested in that weird sensation you get just after shaking a limb (say, your arm) like a lunatic. I knew at a young age that everything was energy and always moving and vibrating even when static... this is because my arm chair scientist uncle would give me lectures every other weekend, lol. So knowing this I attributed the sensations with increasing the rate of vibration within my body... So for years -- throughout primary and first half of secondary school, pretty much whenever I sat I would just bounce my legs to facilitate the increase of vibration. I thought that something cool like some kind of transformation would occur if I kept at it at first... and later completely forgot about it and the bouncing just became second nature. Eventually though the habit just faded and I just stopped it. Not too long ago I remembered what I used to do and gave it another go kind of just playing around... so I bounced my legs vigorously. The soles of my feet began to itch, then the inside of my thighs. From my thighs the itch began to sort of internalise and I had a strange blissful itch INSIDE my legs. The sensation then moved into my perineum and to my surprise just EXPLODED upward. My whole body was in intense itchy orgasmic bliss... actually almost TOO intense to handle but I did hold on. I'm not kidding, it was almost torture. It pretty much was. Everywhere dantiens and chakras are supposed to be were actually MORE intense than everywhere else. Even opening my eyes and looking around was unbearable... My eyes were flaming with this sensation. I was able to focus on any part of my body much easier than usual and add more intensity to the feeling. My girlfriend was present and touched me on the hand -- her touch made that spot more intense too. As I slowed and stopped my legs the feeling subsided. Afterward I felt very energetic, happy and calm and relaxed at the same time. Now I am able to turn it on within the first five or ten minutes of bouncing my legs -- the first time I was doing it for near an hour. Sometimes if I lock on to an itch or some other feeling I can turn it into bliss without bouncing my legs. I don't know if itch is the best word... possibly burn? It is hard to describe. Anyway -- what the hell is this? Lol. Would it be beneficial to keep doing this? Or not? Reminds me of a few things I've read about kundalini. Kunlun too... the bouncing legs, bliss and all. I don't know. What do you guys think? Thanks!
  2. Teachers in Australia?

Specifically Brisbane, Australia. Does anyone know of any who teach qigong/neigong? I'd like to find a local teacher to compliment what I'm currently doing. Thanks guys
  3. Didn't know it could be a stand alone thing, thanks. Also, out of curiosity, does the distance class "light the fire?" If so, to the same extent as a workshop? Or is this only possible in person?
  4. Question -- after doing Gift of the Tao should one do the close down as described in the book? Or is that really only for after SM?
  5. Teachers in Australia?

Thank you for the information Seth
  6. You know when you go down in an elevator or drive down a steep hill how you get that crazy feeling in your lower stomach? Not sure if anyone else gets this effect but since doing stillness-movement the above mentioned sensation has skyrocketed in intensity -- I seriously have to try hard to act as though nothing is happening when in an elevator with others, haha. Do you guys think it is just increased sensitivity due to focusing on that general area so much or what? Strange issue I know -- just curious...
  7. Of Steep hills and elevators

    Thanks for your answers guys.
  8. Thank you for the swift reply, Sir! Much appreciated. Will definately dream up more questions, lol.
  9. Hey Guys, I have two questions regarding SM; - If one practices right before sleep, is the self-massage still necessary? Also, - Might be a stupid question, but, would it be beneficial for practice if one was to (try to) maintain focus on dantian and (try to) stay in that 'state' throughout an entire day? Whilst doing regular things like work, study, etc? Thanks, Aaron
  10. Hello guys! Way back a few years ago I used to meditate a LOT and what follows never happened to me. I hit a patch where I think I may have just got lazy and stopped practicing. Anyway, I've started again some months ago and this is what I'd like you guys to chime in on... I practice Ya Mu's Stillness-Movement from the book. Having said this I do not think that I'm actually doing Stillness-Movement if you know what I mean. Just working on the stillness part. Anyway -- recently when I get about 1:30 or 2hrs into practice my body just begins screaming for me to just stop and get the hell up. Everything becomes annoying and frustrating. All the sounds and all the sensations just become enraging. I do push forward but it just doesn't stop. This has even happened during ZZ so I don't think it is what I'm doing. I'm not an angry guy either, at all actually. What is going on and how do I get past this? Is this ego?
  11. Emotional issue hindering meditation

Wow, excellent. Thank you for your help Ya Mu! Much appreciated.
  12. Emotional issue hindering meditation

Great replies guys, thanks a lot. Good to know I'm not the only one experiencing this issue. I wonder the same thing Scotty. Would be cool to have Ya Mu's thoughts on this. True it may be the purging of latent anger too as Chris D said. Transmutation of emotion maybe??? Thanks again all
  13. Tan tien being pulled

    Interesting, why is that?
  14. Hey guys, Ok, I posted a while back that when I bounce my legs quickly and consistently a massive itchy, bliss heat/fire shoots up through me right? I've been practicing this on and off for a while now, maybe once or twice per week. last time was just last night... same thing happened -- then my body seriously took over and began doing it's own thing, really violently shaking this way, twisting this way, contorting like this and that. All that jazz, extremely tiring stuff. Then toward the end my body lent forward and begun shaking my head side to side like mad... felt like some crazy blissful nuclear explosion going on in the center of my head and behind my eyes. Soon it just stopped and left me sitting there with the bliss slowly calming down. I kept my eyes closed, sat in lotus and just put my awareness on my LTT. Slowly it felt as though everything around me began to spin, or I was. It got faster and faster and more and more intense until it felt like I was in a vortex of some sort... eventually that stopped. Was that my balance faculties screwing up due to my head being thrown around? Or... ? Also I was practicing in the dark. When I exited my room into the light the centre of my head and my eyes erupted into hardly barable bliss again... when I shut my eyes or went back into the dark it stopped... so I was very sensitive to light. I was like that all last night and most of today, not anymore. Are these symptoms of it effecting my health in an adverse way or no? Thoughts? Thanks guys, good having people that I can turn to.
  15. Ok guys, not too much time on my hands so i'll add more later -- So after reading your replies (which I am very grateful for by the way) I decided to do as was suggested and approach this with a calm, serene kind of mood. Instead of violent spasms, etc the movements are almost graceful and flow very well. Just to clarify -- I can stop these movements, violent and crazy or not, whenever I wish. Now too, it seems, I can just turn the spontaneity on or off even without activating the bliss-fire stuff... Having given you guys an update -- safe, or not safe? Lol. Also, are there any benefits to this or should stillness and emptiness be focussed on instead? Perhaps at the same time? Thanks for all your input.
  16. WHITE VAPORS WHEN STANDING IN WUJI?

Bump. Searched specifically "white vapors" and found this thread. I've been seeing them and I'm just wondering what the heck they are... Seem to come out of my mouth maybe? Not sure. Happens when I belly breath and/or focus on LTT. Haven't had the chance to do what Ya Mu suggested yet. (By the way, get Stillness-movin' down here to Australia already! Haha) Thanks
  17. My first full lotus experiences

Indeed. I don't mean to boast but I can hold a pretty much perfect full-lotus for two hours or so if I REALLY try and push past the pain. Honestly, I don't really notice any difference at all... I meditate in it anyway though because of its supposed awesomeness. Maybe I'm just not sensitive enough...
  18. OMG OMG OMG.. I wish we got to this earlier! It was so awesome! My partner, Aaron, was on Taobums earlier and I asked him if he read anything interesting.. He said, "Micheal Lomax posted a competition a month ago to win a free copy of his new DVD.. You had to guess the number between 1 and 1000 that he embedded, with qi, into a sentence." I immediately giggled and said, half as a joke, 683? He raised an eyebrow. The computer was shut down at this point.. The qi must have still been around somehow. He then opened up the laptop, turned it on, an found the page. He told me to read the post and look at the sentence. I then said, "9 hundred and... I don't know, all I can think of now is 683..." Didn't know where to put the 9 xD So close!! Aaron then told me that he got it correct, on the dot, first go. (He doesn't lie) Cool! I feel excited
  19. Can I ask how? Does one just activate bliss aaanndd... What then? Lol. Does it just happen? Is there something one must actively do? I is beginner. Awesome. Thanks for this, will have a look.
  20. Otis -- I do know my body quite well as I exercise extensively in various ways and it all does benefit me vastly. This though is completely new to my experience... I don't know, haha. You suggesting dance and to allowing my body to "joyfully follow its paths" is good advice. Already do something similar -- spontaneous movement/chigong/neigong/whatever... Specifically Stillness-Movement which is fantastic. Informer -- It travelled upward from the soles of my feet, I felt nothing entering from the Earth. May have happened though, I know nothing. Lol. de_paradise -- Great response and very interesting, thank you. I wonder if what you describe is the case? The energy feels extremely powerful. I do recognise that bliss is not the goal and am not attatched to it in any way, if it could be used as a vehicle to higher states though, like you say, that would be awesome. tragblack -- Yeah I used to be asked if I had some kind of nervous problem, haha. Not at all, was all cool though. Does anyone else believe that it may lead to higher states/more energy/something? Would love confirmation on this.

  22. Stillness-Movement Neigong Review

You are where you are (north, west, south, east) to us, everyone just considers us "downunderers" even the "Antarcticans!" Haha And we certainly would appreciate the Stillness-Movement system down here. Great place to visit, too!
