  1. Stillness-Movement Neigong Review

I just wanted to chime in about Gift of the Tao -- My partner and I recieved Michaels Gift of the Tao DVD a few days ago and have practiced to it a few times -- it is absolutely fantastic! Almost immediately, with the first exercise or two, I feel as though I have been doing my regular chi sets for half an hour. IMO it would be hard to find a practice that could give the same results as Gift of the Tao within the same time frame. It would be awesome to be able to attend one of Ya Mu's classes. MICHAEL! Come. To. Australia! Please? Haha.
  2. Master Yang

Hi all, In May my girlfriend and I went to the Mind, body and spirit expo in Sydney, Australia. It was quite interesting but the vast majority of stalls there seemed rather bogus -- though we did have the privilege of listening to a Tibetan Llama chant in the name of world peace and prosperity. We were about to leave then I saw an average looking asian man, dressed in modest clothing and drinking what looked like green tea from a transparent thermos, sitting by himself. For some reason I found myself staring... after perhaps 3 seconds he looked up and gestured for us to meet him. He asked for hands, glanced at them, asked if I did martial arts (I found out later that he was referring to meditation -- his english is not fantastic) then pointed to my stomach and said "damage! hurt!" A month or so beforehand I had been to a specialist about a protein leak. He said that he saw that I had done meditation from afar with his third eye then checked the meridians in my hands to confirm this. After this he looked at my girlfriend and said in an intensely concerned voice "YOU CANNOT SLEEP!" At this point she and I were absolutely stunned because that was completely true! She slept maybe 4 hours a night. He asked us to come back at 12pm then sent us away. Excited and nervous we went back to him. He told us that he cannot work inside in such a congested area so he took us out into the lobby which was very open and large. We were told to hold our palms facing toward him as he projected his energy. He wondered off what was about 70 metres away and pointed his sword fingers at us. A gentle warmth began to permeate throughout my stomach and kept warming until he gestured that we put our hands down to our sides. We then just sood for a while, relaxing, and I felt tingly all over... mostly my stomach. At the end he told us to look at our hands and fingers -- clear bright red lines in each finger were visible -- he said these were our meridians and that the energy would continue to work for a period of time. After we went back inside we spoke for a short while about his Heaven Dew neigong meditation. He then promised that my partner would sleep like a baby and left. AND SHE DID! Here is his website -- http://masteryang.net/home.html He said he has students all over the world and does long retreats in China. Does anyone here have any experience with this man? What do you think of him? Thanks! A&L
  3. So hopefully we all meditate/whatever on a daily basis. My question is; how do we tranform life into practice? Do we walk around in every day life performing tenaga dalam (probably not the safest thing to do, haha)? Breathe deeply from the stomach? Do we try to be in a super aware state of conciousness, doing our best to notice absolutely everything; every sight, sound, smell and otherwise? Reserve part of our awareness to watch/monitor ourselves? Do math problems? Restrain ourselves from thought altogether? Focus on our breath? Our dan-tien? Silently recite mantras? How do we turn daily practice into daily life? A&L

I do not know if the $500 hour session if for real or not, he said nothing about anything like that at all. He worked on us for exactly one minute only and it was completely free -- yes you can get him to do that for free too. His one minute healings are all free. "Letting you taste a single drop of the ocean" or something... His $20 healing is more than what we got. It was just a sample. People replying in this thread are much more sceptical, paranoid and worried about money than I expected them to be. No hard feelings, just isn't why I joined. Wont be posting on this particular thread any longer. See you guys around! =] A&L
  5. Master Yang

I promise everyone here that I am NOT affiliated with Master Yang or the two new users. Why have the two new users taken my title? Really makes me look like I'm (we're) selling something, doesn't it? Haha. Now I am only sharing new, real experiences here... Again, I am not selling anything at all. After leaving my number with him at the show, Master Yang called me and I had a conversation with him last week that lasted about an hour. He remembered the most minute details about us, which I found pretty strange. Told me that my lower back area was the area that was damaged and said it was my kidneys (in my first post I mentioned that I had seen a specialist -- it was a kidney specialist) and offered me long distance healing. As he described what would happen -- it happened; first I was to experience a warmth in my stomach, I did, then I was to feel a tingly sensation on the bottom of my feet, I did, then I was to feel energy moving between the tingling and warmth (the energies merging or something), I did, then a pressure on the top of my head, then energy moving from there and my stomach toward each other (and merging again or something)... I felt intensely warm, especially my lower back and internally. Even throughout the conversation when he laughed every syllable caused warmth throughout my body -- frigging amazing, lol. I managed to find out a little info on what kinds of programs he runs. There are his seminars which run in two parts, "Drinking heavens dew" and healing. $30 and $20 respectively. Then there are his "high level" classes that he chooses his students for. He maintained that it was his right to teach who he believed was suitable. Only pure hearted people who desire to help and teach others as he does... Didn't get a price. He said he wasn't sure when his next seminar or class would be but assured me that he would let me know and invite my girlfriend and I. At the end of the conversation he offered to mail talismans to me (chinese characters on plain paper)... they arrived a few days ago. One is to be stuck on the wall and the other under your pillow, mine is inside my pillow. They have definately enhanced my meditation. Master Yang has since messaged me asking how they are helping me... So I'm quite sure he is most interested in genuinely helping people. Anyway... I do hope that I am able to become his student or at least attend a seminar, would be awesome. A&L
  6. Master Yang

@orb -- Yeah I do think that learning from him is highly likely as every other reputable teacher lives half way across the world whereas Yang is practically on my doorstep. He will be back in Sydney next month so we'll see what happens. @Friend -- Don't exactly like his website either, it is quite messy. Take my testimonial though, this guy is a little more advanced than your average joe who meditates for half an hour every second day. I'll report back to this thread when and if we meet him again. 7. Master Yang

Didn't learn a whole lot from him, no specific techniques or anything like that. We spent maybe half an hour with him all up. He spent one minute healing us... Told us that what he does is send a small amount of energy to you to open you up then he lets heaven do it's thing. As I said he talked a lot of heaven and Earth. I THINK that is how he explained it. Sternly he said that he could never project his full power at anyone too, I guess this is dangerous? Said something like once you "open up" you become kind of like a conduit for energy. Also that the energy penetrates deep into your cells, every particle that you are and somehow tranforms you. Showed us how to see "how much you got" by holding his palms facing each other at dantien level and what looked like repeatedly compressing. As he was demonstrating he was breathing in a specific way and seemed like there was much resistance between his hands. I may be forgetting a few things that he told us as this was in May... But by far the most intriguing thing that he told us was that his master died 40 years ago... Yang only looks like he is 45, 50 at most. Strange. Might remember more sooner or later but for now thats all that I can really recall...

Yes we DID just join.. After being lurkers for so long we were really excited to finally have an experience to share here! We're not part of a franchise. I didn't even see this word on his website, though on further inspection, now I do. He said he never charges, that's just what he told us. Maybe that was just for the healing though? Perhaps seminars and retreats are different, I don't know... I don't know about any money hoarding scheme but I can assure you that it was a genuine happening and we mean no harm... Just here to participate. @JohnC -- We'd love to learn more too! Haha.
  9. Master Yang

He was VERY happy and laughing all of the time. Quite pleasant to be around and while near him I actually felt calmer. He didn't really get into the specifics of his art but he did speak a lot of heaven and Earth... When he mentioned his third eye he pointed to large wrinkles(?) on either side of his forhead, is this a sign of having an open third eye? Also said he never charged for his healing or teaching... Any more thoughts? =]
  10. Hello!

Hello! My name is Aaron. My partner Lindsay and I have been long time lurkers here and have found these forums to be a goldmine of great information and advice. We are only beginners on the path and hope to further expand our knowledge by participating in the many interesting discussions held here. Talk soon, A&L and the Hen (Henry, OUR PUPPY!) haha =]
