Here is Where the Tao Lands Me But I Can't Talk About it

Time to study Bagua? Welcome to TTB! -
From Beautiful British Columbia? Welcome to TTB! I'm from Greater Vancouver myself.

I was told I (did not check that myself) that Obama's campaign was funded by major corporations. If that is right, what can we expect other than slight modifiaction of what we have seen?
-
The whole story is sad. Ironically, the chineese part of this community most likely won't even understand what we are talking about.

This is exactly how I feel the Chia's system after practicing it for a while. I try next formulas and then go back to basics to refine.
-
Perhaps it all depends on your goal: does somebody want to focus on martial arts or moving meditation. Mantak Chia focuses on meditation side of it whereas others want the MA side. I personally like the meditation one and am indifferent to the MA.

Where did all this money come from to shore the banks up?
idquest replied to MASTERforge's topic in General Discussion
You already gave the answer yourself. They are gonna print it. Just one month ago the USA planned their next budget with a 500 billion deficit. A revised estimate for next fiscal year is 2,000 billion. The right question would be: who is going to finance it. So far the foreigners were willing to do that. We'll see if they are up to that now. -
Thanks for the reply. It is hard to verify the fact from other sources though.

QUOTE(Little1 @ Sep 20 2008, 10:37 AM) Okay, so what proofs would be necessary? Any example would suffice. End Quote Procurator, Care to provide some examples from the masters who live now, today? From my observation, most of them look good and agile, but you can always tell their age regardless.

August Leo, I remember you saying "I don't run Kunlun, it runs me". This is not an exact quote, but rather how I understood your words. Sorry if I misinterpreted you, I did not mean that. Thank you that you brought up your earlier thoughts on Kunlun. But again, Taomeow was very encouraging when she said that looking for a safe practice is the same that trying to cut soup with a knife (not exact quote lol).
-
This is my question as well. Taomeow, do you feel that kunlun energy, after it starts to unfold, may not be stopped and get unleashed without any control? This is what August Leo have mentioned some time ago. As for your account - it is amazing how you managed to tell so much not mentioning any specific details. Many thanks.

If I may ask, how would you be sure that the enhanced vision obtained as a result of practice/meditation is not some personal construction (imaginary vision) but an objective reality existing regardless the persons with abilities? The question is: do we have any check points to verify that we are not in an imaginary state of mind but rather percieve the deeper layers of reality?

What about all the sugar in fruit? Some say it is not sugar but fructose, but for body there is no difference. One taxes their pancreas great deal by eating lots of fruit. I would say more of non sweet veges and less fruit would be more beneficial. Fruit are tasty but not as much beneficial. Just another marketing game.

I found it as a somewhat preliminary form, sort of preparation for other forms. Was it my mistake? Why are you interested in it?

Stigweard, Thank you for making the list of virtues so whole/complete. This is where I become confused. So far, all listed virtues represent what we could call "good deeds/qualities". And that feels right. But at the same time, the Tao is supposed to be balanced, non-dualistic by nature. I translate that as "no good no bad". When the elements (tsunami, floods) kill people, it is not because they are bad, this is just the way of nature. My question is: when we try to cultivate virtures, don't we break the balance, make things more polarized?

Wang Liping makes a statement (re: WL in Denmark)
idquest replied to Taomeow's topic in General Discussion
If you read Victor's statement carefully, you might notice that WL referes to some Chinese Government permission. For those who knows how communist systems work, it should be obvious that before the permission is granted, WL will deny any confirmation on a deal. I would say that in a sense the unauthrized announcement might be somewhat a set-up for WL and eventually harmful for him. My 2c. -
Spontaneous DNA, The Rapture, and The Rise to Fourth Density

This is about timeframe for a singularity point as defined by the singularity theory proponents. Although singularity stuff is based solely on technological/scientific advances, spiritual component might kick in unexpectedly. -

What about Six Yogas of Naropa? Isn't it energy work? -
The rumours are that Moscow seminar cost 1000 Euro. Also, they are organizing retreat in China right now for 10 days, 3 classes per day, one of them with Wang Liping. Cost 6,400 Euro which is about $10,000.

It appears that Wang Liping tought at the 11-days seminar in Moscow in May this year. For those hwo can read Russian: http://dao.tjq.ru/

If Tachyon capsule or Q-link screen electromagnetic radiation (the main selling point), shouldn't they screen the Earth and cosmic fields as well? I think that electromagnetic pollution is becoming a serious problem fo everybody; but for Tao cultivators this is a much more serious problem because we need natural electromagnetic fields for cultivation. The dilemma is what is better, screen oneself totally from all electromagnetic fields or keep exposing to that pollution while trying tap into the Earth electromagnetic field.
-
Well, yes, but they tried to do that nicely, didn't they? What whould be better, total silence or at least some nice words of support?

I liked author's Myth 1 and 2 in that article. I strongly believe that amount of fruit and/or sugar is not good for anybody's health.
