Just stick with it.. I was in your situation about two years ago, then a year ago I was able to sit comfortably for half an hour, now an hour is no problem. I used to feel some pain in the knees in the beginning but it soon started to feel more in the thighs, bottom and lower back as they began to adjust. I don't seem to have damaged my knees at all in this process. Keep at it, it's a great way to sit!

"Limitless" the movie, now on Netflix Instantwatch

Good points.. Myself I simply took it as fantasy. I'm not into artificial neurochemical self-improvement anyway. Probably would never dare/want to try some "super drug" np matter what the promises. -

This book is quite poorly written, even Kostas' books are a much better read.. This one is close to painful. Then again we are dealing with a practitioner and not a real author. I have the Kindle version BTW. -
Just wanted to thank for this thread - both for bringing back mr. Hempel and for rejuvenating my FL practice. Today I combined FL for the first time with Stillness-Movement for a full hour, and now I feel very good about it. I know of no other pose that gives such an extra "zing", it even keeps me awake and alert when I otherwise would be dozing off and drifting away. In other words it's painful but the pain is useful.

It's up to the wife to see that she is happy. She needs a lover and a practice of her own -
Hehe that's where I read about too. It's a fine book but has many scientific claims I haven't encountered elsewhere. That doesn't mean they aren't true of course.

Thanks for sharing! Works for me. -
Good points. Even a one-day fast will give some of that enzymatic cleansing since it's actually 36 hours if you stop eating the night before and start again the next morning. Juice fasting has the advantage of introducing a huge amount of enzymes (Qi) via freshly squeezed juices to the system. Not sure if it's as good as a water fast for detox though.

I do one juice day a week, mainly with fresh carrot and ginger juice. I used to do water fast days but since I need to stay active and straight fasting makes me weak I decided to switch to a (delicious) juice fast Probably not quite the same as a water fast but I do get a similar "detox" feeling out of it, plus it gives my system a day of rest.

Thank you Kempomaster! This is fabulous stuff. Very much looking forward to Michael's workshop in London in January. -
Just curious.. have any of you ladies here tried the herb Shatavari? Ayurvedic medicine claims it to be a powerful rejuvenative tonic for women.

Not satisfied with the wonders you're experiencing right now? The rational mind is a miracle. The intuitive is beyond description. If there are levitating monks they probably don't care much about levitation per se, it's more like a byproduct of the fullness of their Qi. Would the realized recommend you spend so much your time on the youtube searching for proof? Maybe someone would tell you to travel wide and far and see for your self. Others might tell you to quiet down and experience the miracle that is consciousness. Once you accumulate enough power it will start demanding your full attention and the needs of your logic-craving mind will evaporate

I understand that even if you're a Qigong master you still have your trials & crosses. For some quitting junk food & other unhealthy habits is easy as 123, or they don't make the effort it just happens. I for one didn't stop my daily marijuana smoking, it dropped me.. I started rejecting it. For others it could prove to be next to impossible, or they just never get convinced enough that they should (addiction is often all about this). Do you KNOW that they absolutely should? I don't I have been told that in China everyone smokes cigarettes because Chairman Mao smoked and it was thus thought of as something to do and few have questioned it even after he went down, it just stuck to them. A local Tai Chi Master from China is a well known chain smoker, I hear people joking about it. He himself has said that according to TCM you need some toxins to drive out other toxins.. Hehe.. He also likes to drink a bit more than a bit. But he's great at Tai Chi that's for sure. When I think about this kind of subject it always brings me to a certain uncertainty, and my mind starts switching between the linear and non-linear, between the destined and creative free will. I like to think both exist at the same time and the manifestation of this interaction can well be an overweight smoking Qigong Master who is simply living HIS life and co-creating his destiny, not caring if somebody thinks he's not perfectly realised.
