Way late in the game and probably a good thing for me.. I don't typically play well with others when everyone is suffering from a post retrograde hangover. Although, I didn't read every single word in the thread, because of well... WORDS WORDS WORDS, I did pick on the general theme. That being said I did want to comment on this quote (said early on by Freeform): Just yesterday I was talking to Sean about something along these lines. I was part of a meeting at my job last week where I noticed the "uppers" kept chiming in with "I think" to introduce their statements. It was really confusing to me at some point, because I couldn't get a real grasp on what needed to be changed with the tool we were discussing. My brain was like "ok, he thinks this, and he thinks this, and then the other one... he thinks this WTF?" It didn't really matter what any of them thought and it became overwhelmingly obvious that opinions from these individuals weren't going to fix any problems we were going over. The only thing these "I think" statements were presenting were cover-ups or "quick fix solutions" to a much much bigger problem. Granted, in certain situations what people THINK is vital and important to understand, say in a theraputic session with someone who is trying to peel away your layers, etc., but in a professional setting they really have no place. What the trial and error results are thinking, would be much more useful to consider... if they could think. So, my musing was how to get this "I think this" type of mindset out of my interactions, especially when it comes to subject matters where emotional involvement is not useful or needed. I wasn't aware that Crowley had practiced a ritual to relieve himself of this very thing. Very interesting! The ritual of biting the thumb wouldn't work for me (I would do better with a reward system instead of a punishment system), but gives me something to think about, or look more into, at the very least. The magic books that I have been reading lately are Modern Magick, Modern Sex Magick (both written by Donald Michael Kraig), and then 777 and other Qabalistic Writing of Aleister Crowley, which includes Gematria and Sepher Sephiroth. The majority of the content in the 777 book is WAY over my head, but gives a better glimpse into Crowley's workings and teachings than reading about him in an article or hearing second hand from a friend. The book talks about why he choose 666 as his symbol, partly being because of what is talked about in part 1 (666 representing last of the mystic numbers of the sun, the spirit of Solomon, the Satanic trinity, and also the name of Jesus, then examples of the number in 4 parts of a divine name, an angelic name, a name pertaining to the fomative world, and then a name of a spirit or blind force) and partly to do with the apocalypse, him seeing the beast as a lion and leo being his rising sign. He writes much more on the number 418, if anyone is interested... The other two books mentioned above (again written by Donald Michael Kraig) are an easy to read introduction into understanding magick and how to start practicing today. His thoughts and views take into consideration Crowley's teachings, but pulls references and resources from everywhere, since magic isn't something that came from one specific source. Kraig is also really into tantra, so that influences the Sex Magick book greatly. Here is something that can be shared, but would be trite for me to try and sum up in my own words, so I'll just quote it: This speaks to me in many ways. An individual really must read it with an open mind to fully appreciate the message. The message is there is a path of ritualistic work that involves an energetic expansion of the mind to embrace responsibility of your life totally and completely. This is not unlike the work that many life coaches will teach you. Magic (magick) is a simple fancy word that gets you interested in a system that brings more awareness to your being. It's a symbol, a tool, coming from a single place. You can use this tool to find the center where everything meets. You can use this tool to bring wealth and health into your life. You can use this tool to get off your fatass and start exercising. You can use this tool to try and make bad things happen. You can do all of these things without magic, and your results could possibly be the same. A passage that fits in with this thead of good / evil, in regards to magick: If you are interested in the answer, then pick up the book Magic is not something you do, it is something you are.

i recognized that image you posted, because i saw it online a few years ago posted online stating something along the lines of "how to turn-on a man, how to turn-on a woman" - that tagline puts you in a different frame of mind while viewing it rather than "Scientific Diagram of Male and Female" which is what is stated at the link you provided. viewing it stated as that, in my opinion, is almost as offensive as this: http://www.thetaobums.com/forum/index.php?...p=197entry197 point being, both images were created to hurt feelings and to further separate the sexes. pretty lame. and also being someone who has had long term sexual relationships with both male, female, and etc... i don't agree that any aspect of a male (sexuality, emotional complexity, spiritual drive) is any simpler than that of a female.

A timely piece of advice if you are considering giving to charity in regards to the hurricane. Before donating your amount, look around town and see if there are any businesses who will match your donation. I know in the Bay Area, the music store Amoeba is matching 100% of all donations given to Red Cross inside one of their stores. So, your $50 donation would become $100. There might be online businesses doing the same thing, I dunno. Just an fyi to consider during the next few weeks...

Thanks for the compliment! Just make sure their boyfriends aren't more into handjobs than blowjobs. Handjob preferrers tend to have a ornery reaction to the contents of the article.

Wait.. I'm confused. Am I frigid or am I a whore?

After spending some time reading over the majority of this thread, I have a few things to contribute. I'm not going to quote who or what prompted me to these things, because I don't remember... About this 'slaying the red dragon' practice - as a women, it seems interesting to me, and I do plan to find out more about it. Sean has encouraged me on many occasions to learn and use it, since he strongly feels it could possibly help me through the (sometimes) horrific cramps I have. However, this is always forgotten about because on the 3rd day of my period I am overwhelmed by a powerful surge of energy and feeling of being renewed that puts me back into perspective. Perspective that the pain is only temporary and worth the natural cycle my body goes through every month. Perspective that during this time I become accurately aware of my entire body, and I learn things about my body, my emotional boundaries that I would never be able to explore otherwise. I am made aware that limitations I am normally under the influence of, are actually very small and insignificant in the grand scope of things. To give the blokes a little insight to what it's like (for me on average) here is a little breakdown: day one - fatigue, body aches, pain, train of thought fuzzy day two - residual affects begin to fade day three - energy levels higher before period started day four - energy plateaus I always feel stronger every month. I am not attached (consciously) to my menstrual cycle because I want to have children, rather I am attached to it (consciously) because it renews me. I have a friend that lost all of her reproductive organs when she was 21 due to serious injury. She told me on one occasion that she felt like something significant was missing in her life since she didn't go through the monthly cycle anymore. She's had a very hard time, since then, stabilizing her life, her goals, everything. There's a lot more going on with her, that I won't go into, but it is something that she's said about it. The experience is not the same for me every month. Sometimes it's not that painful, somethings it feels awful, but small things can aide in relief, such as avoiding sugar, caffeine, alcohol, and anything that could cause high stress. Certainly, being hungover or having your wisdom teeth pulled can raise the chances for a bad spell or whatever, but the outcome stays constant. I always feel stronger after the initial phase passes. What I am trying to say is - involving your body in a practice that ceases menstruation may very well recycle energy (and be wonderful!), but the sensation is probably not much different from allowing your female body to go through the natural recycling of energy. If a woman is not experiencing the natural sensations then she should examine diet, exercise, and all of the supplements she is ingesting. As far as sex during menstruation is concerned, for me it does not deplete me of energy at all. It sometimes alleviates cramps. If you have anal sex, you will still get blood all over your penis, so don't think going into a different orifice is going to save you from that. If you are disgusted with menstrual blood, then please do not have sex with a female when she is menstruating. Likely your reactions to things will only cause a negative experience for her. If your opinion of menstruation is that it is a time when the female is not "pure" - you may want to keep that to yourself, or learn a way to express this without sounding like an ass. This statement is not directed at anyone, I'm stating this to possibly avoid some unlucky girl out there have someone make her feel bad about her body. The vaginal blood does not smell the way it does because it is coming from a vagina. It smells the way it does, because it is blood. Blood starts to have a rancid smell when it is allowed to aerate. If a vageen is ultra smelly during the last days of her period is it quite likely she has an infection of some sort. When I think about the ovarian breathing option it seems like something I will be more into exploring when I'm closer to menopause. This could change, I might decide I want to explore it next month... who knows. What I know right now is that today is day one of this month's cycle for me and I can't wait for Monday. Bleeding, Lezlie

Ron - pretty much the same things, I would imagine. Keep the area clean, keep your woman happy, and learn constructive ways of communicating.

although, i think i already have facial shots of myself in the gallery, i still wanted to contribute to this thread. here is a semi-recent photo of me and my friend Erika on the street in SF... i'm the one looking directly into the camera. and here's an old one of me and sean. i like this one... sean was a sleepy head

the things i've done when i've not been able to get any sleep the night before or much sleep (under two hours) have been: make a huge jug of yerba mate and drink it throughout the time i have to be awake. drink as much water throughout the time i have to be awake. when i feel myself getting sleepy, i drink water immediately. avoid certain foods like cereal and bread, eating things that energize me such as tuna, veggies. smoking often (terrible i know) avoiding coffee getting a 30 minute nap sometime during the time i have to be awake if available (it's very hard to wake up from, but helps me tremendously) also, there's some yoga position (i'm not a fan of yoga so i have no clue what it is called) but you cross your arms and lean down onto them on the back of a chair. lowering your head and relaxing... it really does work. sorry i can't explain it better. i am realizing i didn't offer any advice other than what is probably pretty obvious to you already

monkey - i love the kambuscha tea as well. they have a line at WholeFoods which i fancy. one flavor they carry is a gingerade and it's wonderful. i get it in the cold drinks section. yoda - were you trying to decide between the benefits of green and black tea? i'm late in the thread here. were you taking taste into consideration or just health benefits? just my two cents, i prefer oolong. i was turned on to it after visiting this little website years ago: http://www.oolongtea.org/ oh yeah, but my all time favorite tea to drink is yerba mate. i've got the little gord and straw, and a booklet that tells you the traditional ways to prepare it for meaning. such as "with honey - means long friendship... with sugar - means you are in love." pretty cute (i made those up, btw, i forget what the booklet says.)

i asked the same thing to sean a long time ago.. unfortunately it's not. maybe we can persuade him to put it on a server. would make more sense and get around this "scheduled chat times" crap.

At WholeFoods, I found it in the Whole Body section by the Flax oils and such...

uhhhhhmmm... coconut oil is hired. if you don't like the taste of coconut oil, that's too bad. i don't currently know of another recommendation. if you like or LOVE the taste of coconut then get a jar of this today. great for use during oral for him or her, great for hand jobs, and wonderful for intercourse if you aren't using condoms. the oil is super slick, long lasting, tastes and smells great! also kills bad bacteria, could it be any more perfect?

i picked up a jar of coconut oil today at WholeFoods. review forthcoming...

well, and also it's not so much whether or not it will bring pleasure during.. it's the aftermath that i'm concerned about. even if the candy/cough drop is sugar free, it can consist of a number of things that might cause a yeast infection. the vageen is self cleaning, but women who recieve oral sex from a partner are three times more likely to develop a yeast infection, and that's just from plain saliva. you don't want to up those odds by introducing a foreign substance like cough drops into the equation. that's just like ASKING for a yeast beast to come. any woman will tell you it's not worth the risk. want to kink it up a notch and not put your lady at risk? use ice... or use coconut oil (organic) - not only is coconut oil the perfect lube (not safe for condoms, however) but it kills vaginal yeast and candida - will make her vageen very happy. plus it smells good and is excellent to cook with, i hear.

it sounds scary to me. like something that could possibly make the vagina way unhappy later on.

http://leenks.com/link18743.htm Be sure to watch until the end. It almost could be an ad for Tahitian Noni Juice, although I have no idea what he's really drinking... Check out how close he is to the water. He has a lot of spacial control of his body with his tumbling. It's pretty amazing.

Was it Noni Juice he's drinking???
