  1. How empty is no emptiness meditation?

In Tibetan "meditation" means "getting used to". Getting used to what? to your true nature. this is it. this is what meditation is about and in particular 'stillness' or 'emptiness' meditation. if you get rid of the words in your head, you become who you really are...... THE SPACE IN BETWEEN THE WORDS! words exist in the brain. our brain is not us. the brain is a switchboard used by us to gain sensory experience of a physical dimension. we are pure energy.
  2. Ok, let's do this!!

i have been rereading my carlos castaneda books again and there is some awesome information about how to live as a warrior in there. i ignore the more intense information about dealing with power, with spirits, with allies, etc. but all the things don juan says about being a warrior fits so well with what i am studying now and at time i have felt like don juan was even speaking to me as i read the book. i have the yudelove book and am very tempted to join in, but not sure what level of time i can commit to the daily practice of it as i am caught up with other things.
  3. The Observer

i consider that the observer is really you. it is you without words. without the encumberment of the brain (or switchboard) and it's incessant babbling.
  4. How empty is no emptiness meditation?

i think that the goal of 'emptiness' meditation is actually to quieten the babbler or monkey mind.... that is to learn to think without words. so you are actually still thinking, just without words. i.e. thinking with energy, at the speed of light, at a much higher level..... this is how you become multi-dimensional and begin to experience other dimensions and see through this fake reality we have all subscribed to.....
  5. love

Love one another, but make not a bond of love: Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup. Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf. Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone. Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music. Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping. For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts. And stand together yet not too near together: For the pillars of the temple stand apart, And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow. - Kahlil Gibran this poem i came across the other day. it planted a seed in me... an idea... a feeling that came to fruition last night. i want to become love. i want to love everyone and everything equally. for are we all not just different manifestations of the same universal force? which is love? can we have love without pain? love without attachment? can we love freely and experience it in a myriad of ways? love unconditionally and experience it in it's fullest, in it's purity. can we do this with different people? can we move through life loving and loving again and never stop loving? without the destruction that 'break-ups' cause (having just gone through one myself). what do you do to cultivate unconditional love? love for all....... love from neimad. i love you all!
  6. Taoist Yoga & Sex energy

i've got the 'taoist yoga for better sex life' book of yudeloves. i really liked the simplicity of the practices and the way they built on from one another. i didn't follow the program for all that long though, i think i got up to week 6 or something before things got overwhelming in my personal life and i dropped out..... im not sure if i have the time anymore to follow his entire system but have always wanted to bring a few of the practices back in, particularly bone breathing and 4-square breathing. also the turning the water wheel practices look interesting.....
  7. love

yeah this is just biochemical addiction. it is the body responding to the absence of feel-good hormones that are released when said person is around. it's a survival mechanism, i think, from birth to identify the mother.... all animals have it, but somehow it has transferred into relationships for us. how nice it would be to move above being merely controlled by the biochemicals in your brain. then i think you can love deeply and freely without attachment, without need, without pain. this is what meditation does, i think. you move from biochemical to low-radiation-impulse thought and then finally to a higher level thought which is pure electricity......
  8. love

im a warrior too. unconditional love... to me is not the same airy-fairy kind of feeling we normally associate with love. that is just biochemical, which is why there is so much pain associated with a break-up because it is a withdrawl symptom because you no longer get the same mix of chemical hormones that the person you supposedly loved let you release. this kind of love is just love. it doesn't mean you let people fuck you over. it doesn't mean you condone every persons behaviour. it doesn't mean anything other than you are filled with love. no i'm not on that level.... but i realised i would like to be. wouldn't it be nice to have nothing but pure love flowing through you? could anything ever go wrong again in your life if all you did was love?
  9. Movement, Massage, Meditation

i do the first two.... warrior wellness + yoga. i meditate daily. i don't do regular self-massage but am trying to slowly begin to incorporate it into morning routine.... so far all i do is slap the kidneys for a while.
  10. death & giving away organs

i used to put myself down as an organ donor thinking it was a good thing. i changed recently and there are so many reasons why. firstly i intuitively feel i dont want someone else to have my organs. science be damned, i go on intuition. it feels wrong! second is all that stuff about the organs containing the person in it, etc that you have already discussed. third is i just don't believe that someone who has abused their body to the point they need a new organ, actually deserves one!!!!!! look after yourself and you will never ever need a new kidney! or any other organ. sure sure someone is going to go ahead and give me the example of someone born with a problem or something along those lines..... but that is their own personal karma and it's not my responsibility to intervene with that. my organs return to the earth with my death for my shen to reborn again to form the energy body of some other being. it's pretty simple actually.......
  11. Relaxation

relaxation is so good. im just beginning to relax my hips through warrior wellness, yoga and cheng hsin. cheng hsin is so awesome and for you lucky guys in america i highly suggest you go check out peter ralston and attend a seminar. i am learning from a guy here who did a 4 month apprenticship with him (10 hours training every day) and it is soooooo good. http://www.chenghsin.com/ cheng hsin is a martial arts but its so much more too. its a study of awareness and the nature of being through learning to be present in the body. the concepts in it are incredible. you begin to learn the importance of structure, because you CANNOT relax properly unless your structure is perfectly aligned..... if your structure is not aligned and you relax totally, you will fall over. when my friend who is instructing us hits me with a totally relaxed strike.... it feels like i had a brick thrown at me... or even more. luckily we learn how to yield to being struck and i am able to yield his strike so it don't hurt hahaha. but yes check out cheng hsin, even if you are not a fighter. i don't think you will be dissapointed!
  12. What are you reading?

what is the part on male sexuality like in this book? i have had a hard time finding someone who has detailed it in a simple and easy to follow manner. chia is too...... hmmmm..... too intense i guess, or confusing. his books are quite scattered and reccomend so many things, there is no natural progression. dr lin is good but too in depth scientifically wise. from the two i have a pretty good outline of the practices involved, but would like something that puts it all together simply and coherently.
  13. wow this is an old thread..... i was going to add my bit but it's all been done already. anyways i find in order to make a routine consistant i just have to make sure i do a few practices daily, and try add to them time goes and they are being done consistantly. i wanted to make a comment about ADD too. personally i don't believe there is such a thing as ADD. i have read two theories about it which make sense to me, one is fairly conventional and the other a bit out there.... i don't know whether either is true but as far as i'm concerned they could be. firstly is that ADD is actually a high sensitivity to food additives. i have never been tested for ADD but when i was a youngster in primary school i used to steal other kids who had lunches mainly made up of chips and cakes and so on. it used to send me totally nuts and make my go completely hyperactive..... like i was on drugs. one of my friends from high school was diagnosed with ADD. he didn't eat a huge amount of 'enhanced' foods, but they were definately a component of his diet. he used to take ritalin and on the days he had had his drugs (pharmaceuticals.... the REAL drugs!!!) he turned into a very strange person. it was kind of scary actually, he was all quiet but it was almost like he wasn't even there anymore. however when i took the damn pills they made me go nuts! anyways a second, much more fantastical (but i like the fantastic hehehe..... i think this whole world is one big fantasy and the sooner we realise it and begin exercising our ability to create with our thoughts, the quicker we can turn it back into paradise!) is that kids with ADD are actually what is considered 'indigo' or 'crystal' children. children (and there are 'indigo' adults around now too apparently) who were born to help raise the vibrational level of this planet. these people would likely have a very intense desire to help out, or that they need to help the world change in some respect. they would also likely be able to be very easily overwhelmed by noise, lots of people, drugs, etc and perhaps even fall into depression and despair from time to time. maybe........???? about chemtrails too. the chemtrails are a big problem, but even worse is the 'mobile phone' towers that are now everwhere, on top of almost every building. it is those towers which are used to maneover and manipulate the chemtrails that have been sprayed. the towers are also used to send out frequencies that interfere with our normal thought patterns. apparently in sydney a lot of people have been dreaming about war or violence lately. i had a dream about it all descending into chaos and having to fight for survival. it was an incredibly vivid dream and felt like i was really there. melbourne had a terroist threat announced at it. and in the city of sydney now there are police on every corner. don't know what melbourne is like! it's incredible........ when is martial law coming? i bet you'll get it in america before we do here...
  14. Charities

exactly the point i was trying to express, although not so eloquently. like yoda says, noone needs the help of anyone else. the experiences we lead ourselves into are the ones we have chosen to use as our learning experience as part of a growth in consciousness. an act of giving happens because it happens, not because we feel obliged to help. an act of giving is an interaction that happens on a personal level... because it is a new experience. $$$ thrown at charities are entirely impersonal. the money is filtered, skimmed, used inappropriately, changed around... who gets what? what did it do? where did it come from? expend your energy on yourself and nuture yourself instead, and then you will be capable of really giving.
  15. What are you reading?

Just finished CoEvolution - a book about a new zeleand guy abducted by 'aliens' for 10 days and taken to their planet. i actually found this book very challenging to my conditioned consciousness as i tried to read it as non-fiction and it came across very strange. a lot of interesting and relevant points about humans and their spirituality were raised in this book as well as a lot of bizarre yet interesting information about aspects of our solar system and other things outside of our linear timeline of recorded history. very interesting and i enjoyed it a lot. halfway through reading a seperate reality by carlos castanada, for the second time. this time through though so much more of it is making sense to me and i am finding that the things don juan discusses are so similar to the things i have been learning, which doesn't suprise me of course, they are just explained in a different manner. this particular book deals with the art of seeing by which a person sees everything in it's truer form and that everything is equal in the world (i.e. all the same energies make up everything) and that the world is constantly in motion. the series by carlos castaneda is fantastic. also reading a Kryon book called a new dispensation which is much less interesting than i was hoping. it is from a channelled being called 'kryon' a master of magentics who is channelled through someone called Lee Carroll. i was expecting a lot of technical or interesting information about magnetics and DNA and other stuff. instead it is mainly full of assurances that everything is going to be ok in the end, which is nice but just doesn't do anything for me. yes i like to read weird books. no i don't believe everything i read. i don't disbelieve either. oh i got a good example of the attitude i am trying to cultivate. was talking about the first book with my mum and dad and mentioned that in it he says the venus is actually new to our solar system, only a few thousand years or something. and that this is backed up by ancient cultures having no record of venus in their masses of information about the stars, i mean you would think they would record the brightest planet in the sky huh!? anyways my dad had a real problem with this and got very angry with me for believing "such nonsense" (which i find a very weird attitude for a more than 20 year practicing dedicated buddhist)and went on to say that astronomers had all kinds of information about venus and we had sent a probe to it and so forth and that i shouldn't just believe what i read somewhere. but wait. i have no direct experience of venus! i don't know what venus is, i know nothing about it apart from it's something big in the sky far away from here... and even that i am not entirely sure about. how can i form any real opinion about venus if i have no direct experience of it? i can't and so i choose not to and go with the option that sounds more fun and exciting just for the hell of it. actually it is of little concern to me whether venus was formed with our solar system or entered it on it's own sometime later. same goes for all other obscure information. i choose to go with it cos it sounds exciting.... but i could care less if it's true or not, i don't believe in anything but one truth anyways and if you know that truth it will negate everything else you may have believed to be true. the same goes for my father or for anyone else who wants to dispute wierd knowledge presented by 'nutters'. if you have no direct experience of something, rather you are only told about it by other people..... even though they may be the mainstream and it may be the accepted hypothesis (cos it's all hypothesis, nothing is fact, nothing is exact) what gives you the neccessary knowledge to be able to dismiss anothers opinion? how is it possible to dismiss an opinion, any opinion, any theory, any whatever, unless you TRULY know yourself? this is a concept i have been coming to terms a lot with lately.... and i am beginning to see the cracks in reality forming, and it's quite exciting i'm just waiting for the walls to crumble and reality to come tumbling down (in an entirely controlled manner on my part of course) and then to be free of this silly little box of a matrix we call our reality.
  16. yoga

ok so now prasara has been experienced by people.... i just started power vinyasa (flow) yoga last week (baron baptiste method) on a 10 day introductory pass (meaning can go as many times as you like in 10 days, been 7 out of 8 days so far haha) and i love it! however when the pass ends the price jumps up dramatically and i just wont be able to afford going as regularly as i like. i am looking for a dvd with a good 30-60 minute practice that i can do daily in the evenings. just asking those people out there with yoga experience (saun?), what in their opinion is the best dvd to get. is prasara the best for this, or is there something better? i am looking for something similar to what i have been doing, which covers both strength and flexibility. might just get the baron baptiste dvd, but wanted to see others opinions on other dvd's first. thanks for any help!
  17. yoga

well i have done 7 ninety minute yoga classes now. so my experience is not huge, yet i have progressed within those 7 quite far (in terms of my own body) already as i feel my body is really ready for this kind of work. i am not very flexible though, especially not in the hips. i have been doing warrior wellness for a couple of months now and just moved on to the intermediate program today (it's quite a bit more complex than beginning huh!). body flow i have the book and have tried a couple of the exercises a few times but many of them i am just not really in a position to be able to do as due to tightness in my hips i cannot squat flat-footed on the ground.
  18. Running to support meditations

hahahaha that actually makes a lot of sense. whilst we are built to move and to run.... i really don't think we are engineered to run incredibly long distances. i do a jungleman work out and part of it is running (always barefoot) but i run a lap of an oval at most before stopping to do some strength exercises. never want to run much longer than that.... never feel the need to either. need to travel long distances??? walk! now that is something we are definately built for.

sean, i really like your reply. it would have been so easy to react back to me in an aggressive or nasty manner, and in truth i was preparing for that. but the fact that you reply in such a positive and constructive manner tells me much that you are a well progressed and progressing individual. anyways i can't help by reply back hahaha thats just my nature. you make some great points about fringe identies. yes i can see how this kind of attitude might happen and how people can reject back like that. what we seek is to remove all identity huh? personally, im not political either. i like reading about conspiracy theories because they challenge me. they challenge my world views and the more alternative opinions i read about, the more i realise that all views are actually irrelevant. that the reality is so much greater and more complex than any one person or even group of people could even come close to documenting. i find we get caught up in science these days and believe the science we have now accurately describes the universe. but it doesn't. it is one tiny little litte little fraction of understanding even for the actual scientists themselves. as for some of these theories, they are really not so far fetched. oh the reptilian and alien parts get a bit strange and who can really know for sure about that. but as for the other part, as for the nasty world leaders plotting to control the masses.... sounds straight of a comic book yet it is pretty damn obviously true if you take the time to look. if you ever read one of david icke's books you would see that his evidence and documentation is overwhelming. his resource pool is massive and all the information backing up most of his statements is there. most of it actually on public record!!! groups like the tri-lateral comission and others, when they form come up with ummmm what's it called? a mission statement or something? anyways it's there on paper their exact agenda, and let me tell ya it aint nice. the second iraq war was planned long ago, it was planned even before the first time usa went to iraq. also if you did some reading about the war in iraq and about the depleted plutonium they added to the munitions and what this does to people you would realise that iraq is now a dead country. they used so much radiated material in that country this time that in about 5-10 years there will be hardly any people left there. the photos of what happened last time the usa went to iraq and used depleted plutonium is horrible. mutated babies being born and iraq shot up to be by far the highest country with childhood leukeumia. this time they used several hundred times more plutonium than before. even worse is then the company Halleburton (dick cheney's company) got the contract first for supplying these munitions to the usa to bomb the shit out of iraq, then following the war they also got the billion dollar country to go in and help remidiate the country. the total war package! "we'll blow em up and then fix em up". i don't believe, though, that i have to push too hard in telling people this stuff because in due time it will all become public knowledge. 9-11 was a fraud, there was no terrorists other than our world leaders. everyone will know this eventually as truth, because as far as i am concerned, it is truth. how much more will eventually be revealed, who knows. but it will and is happening. one last little comment. i get a bit carried away and write too much most of the time. you tell me you avoid conspiracy theories because they present a closed view of things. this tells me that you have actually had very little experience reading up on this kind of material. sure there are a lot of crackpot sites out there like that, but if you were ever to pick up a copy of 'nexus' or 'new dawn' magazine you will actually find quite the opposite. these two (australian, yet they are published world wide) magazines are very interesting in that they are a conspiracy theory/alternative health and lifestyle magazine. it's actually quite amazing to read a magazine that talks on one page about HAARP (weather control program) or something similar, and then on the next talks about the benefits of meditation or eating healthy food, healthy water, etc. in my experience, the people who i have met who have subscribed to this 'conspiracy theory nonsense' are actually the most open, gentle, loving people around. i have met plenty of them, people with years of reading about this stuff and they are not crazy, they are not quivering paranoid wrecks. they are usually healthy, happy and light people. meeting these people and reading about these 'theories' (many of which are fact rather than fiction) has transformed my life in such a positive way. yet the common view of anyone interested in 'alternative' views is that they must be a paranoid nutter. so not true. you do make a good point about the people within the organisation helping anyways. however the bigger picture sometimes is not so nice. example: the tsunami.... we have all this aid going to thailand and other places to help reconstruct after the tsunami. but what are they really doing? well what they have now done is cleared up all the towns that were destroyed, pushed all the people to leave and go somewhere else and are now building massive tourist resorts. thousands of homeless people with nowhere to go, no town to live in any more as they watch their homes being transformed into tourist resorts for rich westerners. sound helpful to you? i don't know what charity to reccomend. i don't deal with charities. i believe, as i said before, the greatest thing you can do to help another being is to help yourself. we are all connected to the same universal force anyways and if you increase your vibration, all the others around you will also be increased and thus the whole world and universe increases in vibration. sorry about the long post. congragulations if you got all the way through it! haha.

now now, no need to get totally sarcastic. i always find it so amazing that people who can be practicing stuff that would seem so whacko to the general public out there (e.g. all taobums) and talking about it with most people would get you labelled as a loonie (although this is lessening with our spiritual uprising now well underway), that ask for 'credible' sources of info and discount or downright reject what may seem as alternative sources of news or information. kind of a weird duality thing going on there isn't it? what is credible? do you truly believe your local news service or newspaper are really credible sources of information and news??? do you really believe they tell the whole truth??? when you look at who owns these news services, the murdochs and packers, etc, it kinda makes you wonder what agenda is really behind it all. for example, how many of you know that now in chigaco they have implicated Bush, Rice and Cheney in the september 11 bombings??? of course you don't know, cos it's not in the news? and why isn't it? cos friends of these nasty people are the owners of your much trusted and loved news. (i will find info about this later, but they are now attempting to try Bush, Rice and Cheney in court but unfortunately under some kind of act... they cannot try these guys as war criminals because the country is at war.... think america is gonna stop being at war any time soon? i doubt it! cos to do so means these people will be tried and will be found guilty. the evidence is insurmountable! it's just heavily suppressed, is all). the truth is much more sinister than most people realise, and most people are blinded by the idea that no-one could be that downright nasty.... well that very thought lets these people get away with whatever the hell they want to! for myself i neither accept nor reject such news, whether it be mainstream or alternative. i keep an open mind and mostly go on intuition. being an energy cultivator and spiritualist, your intuition should be getting pretty good..... so what is your honest intuitive feeling about the red cross? me, i would never trust them. they are just another mass organised corporation as far as i am concerned. i believe they are even more sinister than that too, but i wont go there. how can you be doing a 'micro-cosmic orbit' an 'inner smile', 'internal alchemy' and etc.... and then go ahead and consider that, even though you are participating in such weird practices to the majority of people, the world is really the same as the majority of people see it. spiritualists should be the most open people to other sources of information and should be able to realise that truth is not as we have been led to believe, in more ways than one! i would consider that this very close-mindedness will ultimately hold you back from whatever it is you are trying to achieve. i would say this is so because you are trying to do something that your conditioning tells you is totally abnormal, to do so means you need to let go of your conditioning. in all areas of life.... accepting the normality of the world and what the media tells you is just clinging to that conditioning of everything is ok and there really is no such unusual things as aliens, entities, energy beings, devas, sylphs, elementals, etc. well if you cannot accept that kind of stuff, how will you ever accept the idea that you are really a multi-dimensional being and how will you ever achieve that? anyways i dont ask you to just believe whatever is given to you.... rather to not close yourself to the possibilities. blindly rejecting one source of information is just as bad as blindly accepting it. gullability and scepticism go hand in hand in terms of deterimental things to a persons consciousness, in my book. apologies about the lecturing tone of this post, i don't mean to lecture... i just get quite annoyed by people who can be totally into 'weird stuff' but then reject other weird stuff cos it appears to be too nasty to them. we live in a duality dimension.... here exists vast good, but also vast bad. ultimately they are one and the same yes, but doesn't mean we need to support the bad.
  21. Charities

might want to check this site out before clicking on the donate to red cross icon at the top...... as i said, i have no trust whatsoever for the red cross (with the nights templar symbol as their logo). http://www.conspiracyplanet.com/channel.cf...&contentid=2701 im sure you can find plenty more info out there on the red cross if you could be bothered looking.
  22. Charities

in all honesty i don't trust charities very much. granted there are some good people out there and even good organisations doing fantastic work.... but these are likely to be the smaller organisations that you would have to search out rather than hear about easily. i wouldn't trust red cross as far as i could throw one of their buildings! (no i'm not superman). major charities, if you have a look into it.... are actually massive money making mechanisms for tax free $$$$$ a lot of them act in a really horrible manner and the money they do spend in a 'charitable' way is actually very ill spent and may even have alterior agendas behind them. i know that it may be inconceivable to think that people could deceive others in such a heinous manner, but it happens all the time. and the very fact that it is inconceivable to everyday people, makes it exceptionally easy to get away with. if you choose to give to a charity, i suggest thoroughly researching the charity and find out how they spend their money, how they go about getting it, etc. an example. world vision. my thai ex-girlfriends second cousins were sponsered by world vision. coming from a buddhist family and upbringing, they were bought exercise books with christian messages all throughout. they were told they must attend church every week to receive the money. they were buddhist, not christian! also the money or help they did receive (in terms of items given to them, etc) was actually a tiny tiny fraction of what the donator had been giving. so where did the donators money go? the kids certainly didn't see much of it! the school didn't see much of it! who did? whose pocket really gets fatter from this tax-exempt transaction? nevertheless there are some good ones out there. but personally, i believe everyones life is there own.... and a definite feeling of compassion is fantastic, but if you empower yourself then you empower the entire vibration of the earth and this dimension, thus helping everyone in a very real manner (by providing the energetic or vibrational environment for them to take charge of their own destiny) rather than just a band-aid solution of 'lets fly some aeroplanes over and drop packages of food on them' or whatever.
  23. Warrior Wellness vs 5 Tibetans

cool! elaborate a little more on how you would go about laughing to the different organs. also gonna start adding some testicular massage to morning routine haha. (testicle laughing??)
  24. Favorite neglected practices?

winn's inner smile... the one in his free e-book, goes into every part of the body... into the bones, muscles, cells, blood, into the hair, etc. letting the smile really pervade you until you becoming one just vibrating smiling blob. really cool i enjoyed that. while mantak chia's seems to be a bit more of a 'quick i gotta get this smile done rapidly'. maybe it was just my approach. also i used to practice winns lying down, and chia's sitting up. might have had a difference too. the meditation i do now is better for me, i'm not saying it's better. i think the inner smile can definately be profound, as can all meditations. i guess it's better for me because it's so simple and not complicated. i used to have a lot of trouble with some of the taoist meditations because you had to think so much, had to try and do all kinds of things with your mind, etc. so what do i think about? well..... i don't think. the meditation i do has a kind of multi-effect. firstly i concentrate on a particular chakra point (belly, heart or third-eye) and just leave my concentration there allowing energy to flow in, while at the same time stilling my mind and allowing words to slip away. i listen to music to distract the monkey mind. it's suprising how effective this is. about 25 minutes, twice a day. sometimes a little longer when i feel like it. but everytime i get up from the meditation feeling great. feeling warm/cool (it's kinda warm but also kinda cool) currents going through my shoulders arms and chest. the buzz usually lasts a couple of hours too. also had some very interesting experiences while meditating. i never miss a day, and never want to miss a day. i also notice when i don't smoke weed that i actually manage to dream again.
  25. keysound vs. heart sound

actually covered that kind of thing in yoga today. teacher was saying that to inhale using the strength of the glottis in the throat and not the force of the nose. the sound that occurs is the hoarseness in the back of the throat and made me instantly remember reading that in yudeloves book. what he was saying it was for is to bring your awareness into your body more. which is the way i think yudelove intended it to be used. awareness into body and away from genitals. relaxing the body and breathing deep. i dunno.....
