Any sanshou/sanda practitioners? I have a quick question to ask.
Andrei replied to Oneironaut's topic in General Discussion
Yes in my opinion sanshou is the most complete art, because judo throws wouldn't work but on striking fists and kicks. Even in Muay Thay they don't allow throws so this is limiting. Also sambo which is very simular to sanshou but in sambo you still can have grips on the gi because of the gloves. -

You don't use any grip because you wear boxing gloves that don't allow to grip. So train with boxing gloves and you'll see how handy are taichi sweeps and throws that don't use grips, just elbows and shoulder "grips". -
Yi Jin Jing has commentaries on each line, so why would you not use them? Also the commentaries analyse the hexagram as two trigrams that relate to each other.

The Holy Spirit is not Kundalini - Daskalos
Andrei replied to Tibetan_Ice's topic in General Discussion
I don't know, it may be what we see on a daily basis the illusion, and what we see at night the real thing. But I tend to think now that this is real and all OBE and dreams and visions are just that, hallucinations. Working 9 to 5 is just replacing the hunting we had to do back in the days. Hunting was replaced by farming, then farming replaced by trades, then industry came, then working 9 to 5. You can still leave behind working 9 to 5, you can go hunting, farming and doing all the trades you like in your garage. Anyway I digress, I don't know which is real and which is illusion. -

I think is the other way around, kundalini once awaken will create illusions that detract from real awakening . In Christianity, Kundalini is the serpent/dragon, this is what Kundalini is doing, it creates hallucinations. Jesus's temptation is exactly same episode of Buddha's temptation: If you understand that what you see is an illusion then you start to awaken. -

The Holy Spirit is not Kundalini - Daskalos
Andrei replied to Tibetan_Ice's topic in General Discussion
He's right. Holy Spirit comes from above and beyond and enters the body through crown center through the silver cord, which is the link between you and your Higher Self, while kundalini is the sexual energy stored in the sacrum bone-lumbar region which burns like a fire. Two different energies. -

Me too. Same here, and because of that I've done martial arts all my life since 17 years old. But I've seen it as a weakness because I had worst stamina and strength than my peers, I needed more time to recover after effort and now I understand why. I was all my life adrenal type which means I was over producing adrenaline and cortisol that made me shy and silent and meditative , over reacting through fear and social anxiety to external stimulus. This is diagnosed as Yin deficient because of excess of Yang of kidney and liver. So the way I see it inside and outside are just the opposites, if inside is Yang (organs energy) the outside is Yin (personality) and the vice versa, if inside is Yin the outside is Yang. So to express outside a Yang personality you need to build inside the body Yin energy (hormones, proteins, aminoacids etc. in a Chinese word = Jing). Now you have a Yang personality because of the Yang Qi that burns fast and steady a huge amount of Jing, but as long as you replenish the Jing then the Yang Qi that radiates outside is balanced by the Yin Qi (Jing) of the inside. It is the lamp candle metaphor, if you replenish the oil in the lamp you can have a flame that gives you heat and light. And you can do that indefinitely as long as the body functions are balanced (Yin/Yang, 5 elements, zhang-fu organs etc.)

Hi ZenStatic, I lost 20 lbs in 3 months by following Dr.Berg guidelines which makes sense a lot to me since I had immediate results. If you have stress issues you have adrenal problems so you may want to follow an adrenal type diet, you need to increase a lot of vitamin C and probably some herbs that recover adrenals. If you have anger issues then you have a liver problem as well so after you recover the adrenals follow the liver type diet to cleanse your liver naturally. There are many receipts out there that you can use but these guidelines are spot on: If you don't know which body type you are then watch this:

Whatever light you see is an excitation of the visual cortex inside your brain by the electrical signals made by your own hormones and neurotransmitters. They may have different colors which means they may come from different organs or they have different frequencies. Whatever hallucinations you may have (visions or dreams) are just parts of your internal world. The brain is called in Daoism "The mud ball" because it's a total darkness there inside, but as soon as you activate the organs that produce hormones and neurotransmitters, they start bio-chemical reactions that produce bio-luminescence. The more light you project in this darkness the more you know yourself (your mind), but you have to be careful you never know what you find there, but also you have to be courageous to admit that whatever you find are parts of yourself.

It's a inflamed lymph node, just do a juice fasting or start a salads and fruits diet and it will regress. Lemon juice with baking soda makes miracles. http://chestofbooks.com/health/disease/cancer/Handbook-Cancer-Patients/Inflamed-Lymph.html http://steptohealth.com/causes-inflamed-lymph-nodes/

This is an interesting book Thomas Karlsson, the Qabala, Qilipoth and Goetic Magic, in my opinion is a symbolic way to represent the subconscious mind, so don't be afraid by terminology: https://www.uploady.com/#!/download/5rOykxt6WUL/7dH~VKDnpUrLKFJ3 I am not a literalist, so don't take anything literally.

This is the Middle Pillar exercise from Golden Dawn as taught by Israel Regardie, it is basically the middle pillar of the Sephirot Tree: http://www.davedavies.com/splanet/magic3.htm The above crown chackra is actually the Kether Sephira, which is the gate to heaven. Just be aware that there is another tree mirroring the Sephiroth which goes down to hell, named Qilipoth, the lowest sephira from the QiIlipoth tree is connected to Kether, whomever goes down on the Qilipoth tree and reaches the lowest level actually reaches the Kether.

This is funny how ginseng earned a bad reputation because of a faulty study when the patients drank coffee in the same time with the ginseng treatment. That was in '79 and to this day these "side effects" are perpetuated in the literature. http://www.itmonline.org/arts/i.htm Quote: The herb was eventually being consumed by millions of Americans. Unfortunately, a very small number of consumers began using the herb in unusual ways (unusual applications of a Chinese herb similarly occurred, but on a much bigger scale, with ma-huang; see: Safety issues affecting Chinese herbs: The case of ma-huang). The result of the misuses of the herb was reports of adverse effects. In 1979, a Los Angeles physician, Ron Siegel, published a clinical note in the Journal of the American Medical Association (6) about a "ginseng abuse syndrome." In an evaluation of 133 people in the Los Angeles area who had been taking ginseng frequently (for one month to two years), it was found that 14 (10%) reported symptoms that were then depicted as being part of this syndrome (though a larger number reported one or more symptoms, falling short of the abuse syndrome). Typical symptoms were nervousness, irritability, insomnia, skin eruptions, and morning diarrhea. In fact, the study by Siegel, which was uncontrolled, had numerous flaws (7). All of the people reporting these "adverse reactions" were consuming caffeine (mainly coffee), which has these exact side effects (except skin eruptions). Those who were in the study all reported that they experienced an energizing effect of ginseng, which implies that this was the primary reason for persistent use of the herb. Further, Siegel had later admitted that several of the cases of ginseng abuse syndrome were from people who were using ginseng in an attempt to get "high" and were sometimes administering unreasonable amounts (up to 15 grams per day). In China, ginseng is reputed to calm the disturbed spirit, being a typical remedy for anxiety, irritability, and insomnia. The doses of ginseng described in Chinese literature for typical medical applications often exceed those that most Western consumers get from commercial ginseng products, so the difference between what the Chinese claim (a calming effect) and this adverse side effect (agitation or energy stimulation) may well have nothing to do with using ginseng in high doses or for prolonged periods, but from other things taken at the same time in an effort to overcome lethargy. Nonetheless, the list of side effects from this 30 year old article are still brought out by virtually every writer who wishes to present the pros and cons of using ginseng.

What do you mean "I have to pee a LOT"? You pee a big amount a couple of times per day or you pee several times per day just a couple of drops? Long term costs of retention are: BPH (bening prostatic hyperplasia), epididymis channels inflammation or seminal vesicles stones even cancer.

Yep, exactly so does coffee produces Yin Fire, even if in a different way the outcome is the same. Porn and coffee have the same effect.

Any desire either sexual or not is dopamine release in the nervous system. The more dopamine you have the less serotonin and the more serotonin the less dopamine. You may say that dopamine is the Yang Qi and the serotonin is the Yin Qi but to me Yin Qi would be the cortisol, the serotonin would be a modulator of the two, it has a damping effect. The herbs restore the serotonine balance as well as other meditation and qigong techniques. If you have too much serotonin in the system you become dull, unmotivated, they say it's the happiness hormone, but only if it's in balance with the others, just by itself will lead to depression. http://www.withoutagym.net/dopamine-and-serotonin/ For example Rehmannia is said to be Yin and nourishing kidney-liver meridians, but that doesn't mean it increases cortisol, on the contrary it regulates its production, hence is an adrenal protector. Also because of the Yin effect due to sugars it contains it helps building muscles: http://www.itmonline.org/arts/rehmann.htm The mechanisms are very complex, but just for the sake of simplification these explanation are just as good as "has a tonifying effect" or "it is nourishing the kidneys".
