  1. The thing is if you read the text until the end you find that they used the same methods, or at least some of them like "sitting meditation" or "gathering Qi" or whatever, what matters is the sequence of methods and the combination of them. Because everybody is different with a different energetic pattern, they use different methods, it is a matter of fine tuning and scheduling that differs from person to person. What they were criticizing is that someone preaching or teaching excesively and exclusively only one of the methods, like many people even nowadays do. So yes Da Dao means all of them but "depends on the practitioner".
  2. What you don't understand, and people in general is how the energy manifest inside their bodies with respect to their environment. For your information, I tried all my life to become a "vegetarian" but with no success. I even moved to Vancouver with a milder climatic environment hoping that I would become eventually "fruitarian" or at least "vegetarian" but obviously for me there is more at play just "moral grounds" or "scientific proof".
  3. Just do it and you'll see afterwards.
  4. Good article, all of them Abhazhia, vilacamba, hunza, okinawa people eat meat, fish and dairy, but they eat it because is the only thing available to them and they work hard for that food.
  5. I hope some day people will start studying Ayurveda and TCM with their 5 elements theory. Whatever diet you are doing and feel SUM TING WONG you should go back to basics and start studying seriously.
  6. Gerard, very good videos but the "eight mother palms" link does not work. I know this set of "eight mother palms":

  8. Texts for preliminary neidan study

My opinion is for preliminary <everything> studies read everything you can and you have available to gather as much information as possible from different authors, backgrounds, understandings ant then you can dissolve and coagulate the essence of that information.
  9. I wish I could see you doing that in Canada (in winter)

Because of too much cultivation you have an excess of yang energy. Drink some Lingzhi tea before going to bed to cool down, you'll see, no more sweat.

  20. Cooking Mushrooms

I would like to see your faces when you eat shiitake or lingzhi raw please post your selfies here to show how you do it
  21. Cooking Mushrooms

Nope, only vitamin C is destroyed by heat, nothing else. Chinese cook a lot with heat, actually it is recommended to maintain the balance Yin-Yang, the stomach and spleen likes heat, but depends on your constitutional energetic pattern and environment. But because they have metal energy they may attack the wood energy so if you feel pain in the liver point then you might reduce the mushroom quantity and increase the greens (letuce, broccoli, kale) and oils too especially olive oil because oils drain the gall bladder. Mushrooms and greens should balance each other (Metal-Wood energy clash).
  22. Cooking Mushrooms

All of them mushrooms are yin metal energy. Similar to meat, so you can cook them steamed or stirfry in oil or boiled in soups. Shiitake, Maitake, Enoki, King oyster, white mushroom, portobello, cloud ear (black) fungus, white fungus. Except Lingzhi (Reishi) which is water energy with a bitter taste and is consumed as a tea brew. Shiitake mushroom has the highest vitamin D concentration in food if you dry them in sunlight exposed with bottom up. I like white mushrooms and portobello on barbecue with a pinch of salt & pepper or chilli sauce. also fried in a pan in coconut and /or sesame oil.
