This is not true, a female can defend herself with proper training, just as males do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dr-oj18a6Q
-
Yes it does. It's just you have to train for specific purpose. Taichi as practiced nowadays is only the Taolu. Taichi has many methods training all of them are for fighting purposes. Taichi has beside taolu, tuishou, sanshou, sanda, weapons, weight training, zhanzhuang (which is the most important for power) and not at the least neigong. They all are different types of training and if you didn't found a teacher that is teaching all of them don't blame Taichi, blame the teacher that does not teach you or blame you because you don't search carefully.

I do believe the same thing. We all reincarnate as females and males in countless lives. We just have to be nice to each other. It is a cosmic joke the fact that we become what we hate, just to experience the other side point of view. And it will happen sooner or later no matter what opinion someone may have now.

There always has to be a polarity. Remember? The short engenders the long, the beautiful engenders the ugly. DDJ ch 2.

You can say its because of a global shift in consciousness, a destiny we have arrived at due to spiritual evolution, or the outcome of strange times, but, many people all across the globe are going through intense personal changes and sensing an expansion of consciousness. Personal changes of this magnitude can be difficult to recognize and to understand, but here are 21 traits of an awakening soul, a sensitive, or an empath. 1. Being in public places is sometimes overwhelming. Since our walls between self and other are dissolving, we havent really learned to distinguish between someone elses energy and our own. If the general mood of the crowd is herd-like or negative, we can feel this acutely, and may feel like retreating into our own private space. When we have recharged our batteries with meditation, spending time in nature, far away from other people, or just sitting in quiet contemplation, we are ready to be with the masses again. In personal relationships, we often will feel someone elses emotions as our own. It is important to have this higher sense of empathy, but we must learn to allow another persons emotions while observing them and keeping our empathy, but, realizing that not all emotions belong to us. Social influence can dampen our own innate wisdom. 2. We know things without having to intellectually figure them out. Often called intuitive awareness, we have a-ha moments and insights that can explain some of the most complex theories or phenomenon in the world. Some of the most brilliant minds of our time just know. Adepts and sages often were given downloads of information from higher states of consciousness after meditating or being in the presence of a more conscious individual; this is happening for more people with more frequency. As we trust our intuition more often, it grows stronger. This is a time of thinking with our hearts more than our heads. Our guts will no longer be ignored. Our dreams are becoming precognitive and eventually our conscious thoughts will be as well. 3. Watching television or most of main stream media, including newspapers and many Hollywood movies is very distasteful to us. The mindset that creates much, but not all, of the programming on television and in cinema is abhorrent. It commodifies people and promotes violence. It reduces our intelligence and numbs our natural empathetic response to someone in pain. 4. Lying to us is nearly impossible. We may not know exactly what truth you are withholding, but we can also tell (with our developing intuition and ESP skills) that something isnt right. We also know when you have other emotions, pain, love, etc. that you arent expressing. Youre an open book to us. We arent trained in counter-intelligence, we are just observant and knowing. While we may pick up on physical cues, we can look into your eyes and know what you are feeling. 5. We may pick up symptoms of your cold, just like men who get morning sickness when their wives are pregnant. Sympathy pains, whether emotional or physical, are something we experience often. We tend to absorb emotion through the solar plexus, considered the place we stomach emotion so as we learn to strengthen this chakra center, we may sometimes develop digestive issues. Grounding to the earth can help to re-establish our emotional center. Walking barefoot is a great way to re-ground. 6. We tend to root for the underdog, those without voices, those who have been beaten down by the matrix, etc. We are very compassionate people, and these marginalized individuals often need more love. People can sense our loving hearts, so complete strangers will often tell us their life stories or approach us with their problems. While we dont want to be a dumping ground for everyones issues, we are also a good ear for those working through their stuff. 7. If we dont learn how to set proper boundaries, we can get tired easily from taking on other peoples emotions. Energy Vampires are drawn to us like flies to paper, so we need to be extra vigilant in protecting ourselves at times. 8. Unfortunately, sensitives or empaths often turn to drug abuse or alcohol to block some of their emotions and to protect themselves from feeling the pain of others. 9. We are all becoming healers. We naturally gravitate toward healing fields, acupuncture, reiki, Qi-Gong, yoga, massage, midwivery, etc. are fields we often find ourselves in. We know that the collective needs to be healed, and so we try our best to offer healing in whatever form we are most drawn to. We also turn away from the traditional forms of healing ourselves. Preferring natural foods, herbs, and holistic medicine as ways to cure every ailment. 10. We see the possibilities before others do. Just like when the church told Copernicus he was wrong, and he stood by his heliocentric theory, we know what the masses refuse to believe. Our minds are light-years ahead. 11. We are creative. We sing, dance, paint, invent, or write. We have amazing imaginations. 12. We require more solitude than the average person. 13. We might get bored easily, but we are really good at entertaining ourselves. 14. We have a difficult time doing things we dont want to do or dont really enjoy. We really do believe life was meant to be an expression of joy. Why waste it doing something you hate? We arent lazy, we are discerning. 15. We are obsessed with bringing the truth to light. Like little children who say, thats not fair we want to right the wrongs of the world, and we believe it often just takes education. We endeavor to explain the unexplainable and find answers to the deep questions of life. We are seekers, in the Campbellian paradigm. The Hero With a Thousand Faces. 16. We cant keep track of time. Our imaginations often get away with us and a day can feel like a minute, a week, a day. 17. We abhor routine. 18. We often disagree with authority (for obvious reasons). 19. We will often be kind, but if you are egotistical or rude, we wont spend much time with you or find an excuse to not hang out with people who are obsessed with themselves. We dont get people who are insensitive to other peoples feelings or points of view. 20. We may be vegan or vegetarian because we can sense a certain energy of the food we eat, like if an animal was slaughtered inhumanely. We dont want to consume negative energy. 21. We wear our own emotions on our sleeves and have a hard time pretending to be happy if we arent. We avoid confrontation, But will quietly go about changing the world in ways you cant even see. http://thespiritscience.net/2014/06/23/21-traits-of-an-awakening-soul/

The "Official" Mo Pai & "Things You Might Not Know About Real Mo Pai" Thread

And the talent comes from the work you've done on the previous life. So, if you don't have any talent in this life, work as much as you can do and in the next life you'll have the natural talent, whatever it is. All the naturals I know or I've heard about were working hard in their previous lives. -

If you put your energy from head to intestines, then you need to have your intestines full with food, especially that kind of food that gives you sleepness. -
Advice please: Insomnia and headaches worse after seeing healer
Andrei replied to kudos100's topic in General Discussion
Have you tried 5-HTP? This is the precursor of serotonine, which is the precursor of melatonine. Also you can try to eat as a last meal before bed (dinner) either a heavy meal like meat or something greasy, like a warm glass of milk with ghee. Turkey or chicken has the most content of tryptophan which is the precursor of H-5TP which is etc. alhough any meat has tryptophan. Also rice has the highest content of tryptophan, if you are not a meat eater you can try rice boiled in milk before bed. I think you are a pitta type constitution according to ayurveda, pitta gives insomnia. You can search on google pitta type ayurvedic diet. Sometimes I do have headaches and insomnia because of the headaches but in my case is because I am vata type and i get external wind and cold inside the head due to air conditioning. Sometimes I get the headaches just because of the outside cold wind, which enters into the head through the wind gates ( there are some acupuncture points at the base of the skull). When i get this type pf headaches I drink some hot tea with hot spices to expel the wind, and I massage the skull around the hairline with Tiger Balm or any strong balm that contains menthol, eucalyptus oil, camphor I put a towel around my head and sleep with pillows on top. But this type of insomnia and headaches is caused by wind and cold which is just the opposites of the pitta (excessive fire) type of insomnia. So it depends on what energy type you are and what energy you are exposed at, and also what you eat. -
If you practice Zhan Zhuang, for how long do you stand?
Andrei replied to Vitalii's topic in Daoist Discussion
I do not agree with that, Taiji without Zhan Zhuang is useless, IMO. And it does not matter how slow, how fast, how long, how low you do the taichi, is just that zhan zhuang is putting you on a different level in terms of internal energy. If you don't do zhan zhuang, is not internal no matter what you do. -
if that is Minnesota, imagine how is Manitoba. Here is what australians do in winter: And here what canadians do in winter:

Have you ever experienced this? Do you know how is to shovel a pile of snow out of the top of your car for one hour in the morning, go to work - on the road another hour - , while being at work , outside is snowing again for 8 hours another pile of snow on top of your car, then shovel again for one hour to go home. One hour on the road because of the traffic difficulty. It is priceless. Thank God I came to Vancouver in 2012! Vancouver is the only tiny piece of Canada that is different than the rest of the country.
-
Except that here in Canada is mostly cold and windy and winter is very long (6 months) and there in Australia is endless summer, sunny and dry. Here we have Rockyes and there you have the Great Reef Barrier. Not fair! You know nothing! You (Australians) have no idea how much cold may be! (Cold like in freezing your eyeball inside your skull !!! ) By the way, did you know that the last snow this year in Calgary was in May !!!

One phrase that is the tao buddha nirvana etc to you?
Andrei replied to mewtwo's topic in General Discussion
Some things in life are bad They can really make you sad Other things just make you swear and curse When you're chewing on life's gristle Don't grumble, give a whistle And this'll help things turn out for the best... And... ...always look on the bright side of life... (Whistle) Always look on the light side of life... (Whistle) If life seems jolly rotten There's something you've forgotten And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing When you're feeling in the dumps Don't be silly chumps Just purse your lips and whistle - that's the thing. And...always look on the bright side of life... (Whistle) Come on. Always look on the right side of life... (Whistle) For life is quite absurd And death's the final word You must always face the curtain with a bow Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow. So always look on the bright side of death... (Whistle) a-Just before you draw your terminal breath... (Whistle) Life's a piece of shit, when you look at it Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true You'll see its all a show, keep 'em laughin as you go Just remember that the last laugh is on you And... Always look on the bright side of life... (Whistle) Always look on the right side of life... C'mon Brian, cheer up Always look on the bright side of life... Always look on the bright side of life... Worse things happen at sea you know. I mean - what have you got to lose? You know, you come from nothing - you're going back to nothing. What have you lost? Nothing. Always look on the right side (I mean) of life... what have you got to lose? You know, you come from nothing - you're going back to nothing. What have you lost? Always (Nothing.) look on the right side of life... Nothing will come from nothing ya know what they say? Cheer up ya old bugga c'mon give us a grin! There ya go, see! Always look on the right side of life... (Cheer up ya old bugga c'mon give us a grin! At same time) There ya go, see! Monty Python - Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life Lyrics This song is the true British Heart Sutra! -

Because we as humans have reptilian genetics, and all lizards have a third eye with which they see infrared radiation: From Wikipedia: Tuatara lizard

Theory: from here: http://www.falundafa.org/book/eng/pdf/flg_en.pdf page 7

I saw it once when I was visiting my friend. During the night I was awake and I was contemplating the darkness in my visual field when suddenly a reptilian eye just like in the second post of SOTG popped out of nowhere and was looking at me curiously. It was an entity in itself that was studiyng me through the veil, or maybe more like peaking through the hole in the veil. It was not capable to keep focus in one spot, it had sudden movements like a cock or a chicken. Then suddenly many more eyes popped all over the visual field and all of them were studying me a while until they get bored and disappeared. And I was astonished "WOW what was that?" The next morning I told the experience to my friend and he said it was a basilisc, the guardian of the house, a very ancient being that was living there before humans arrived in that place and built that village. He was just curious about my presence in that house. My friend told me that this being was his guardian since childhood when they encountered in the forest. Anyway, search for basilisk on google to see how they look like. In our folklore they are called "king of the serpents" and they look like reptiles with wings and a cock head.

how do you find a legit practitioner / teacher / instructor ?
Andrei replied to mike 134's topic in General Discussion
Robert Bruce said not everybody has a full Kundalini awakening. He is saing that you have to have a very specific physical sensation it feels like an energetic snake that uncoils 3 and a half times, then the snake entering your body through your perineum which is pushing your organs aside, then once it enters your brain you have a vision or a samadhi experience that culminates with the feeling of the 1000 petals lotus crown or as he said the " medusa effect" which is feeling like many energetic tentacles exiting your crown. He said that he had these experiences several times and that can trigger them at will. Anything less than that is a partial Kundalini experience. In my opinion this is what he felt, but not everybody will have the same sensations either is full or partial awakening. I had similar sensations but not exactly like he described and not all of them at once, not in a single event but in several events spaced by several years. I think many people nowadays experience partial kundalini awakenings which in my opinion are worse than full awakening because it destabilize the whole dynamic of body energy and creates havoc in people's life. -

Any chinese doctor of TCM or an indian doctor of ayurveda would do the job, provided they learned their art in their original country. In both TCM and Ayurveda they will take your pulse, look at your tongue, eyes, skin etc. and you will have a diagnostic. Kundalini is fire energy and in both systems fire energy is balanced with water energy. But how do you know you have kundalini sindrome? Do you have tinnitus in you ears? Do you have insomnia? What are your symptoms?
