  1. Compare Dan Tien to Chakra?

According to Gurdjieff for each octave there are seven tones and three intervals (semitones) that had to be passed in order to evolve from a lower vibration to a higher vibration. In my understanding the chackras are the energy vibration tones of the body while the three dantiens are the intervals that have to be filled up with something in order to be passed over. do from previous octave 1. re 2. mi 3. first interval 4. fa 5. so 6. second interval 7. la 8. si 9. third interval to higher do The intervals cannot be passed by default, only by intentional conscious work. By default the evolution blocks itself in the intervals which are also called blockages, and the natural evolution seeks another way around. This is why nature evolves in circles and cycles. The first interval is easier to pass, second is harder and the third is the hardest one. Each interval is by itself a mini octave. This is what Gurdjieff called the Law of Seven.
  2. Cause and Effect

We as human beings are made of three parts: spirit, soul and body. every part is conditioned by universal laws. The body is conditioned by genetics, the ancestors inheritance, as well as medium in which lives, the air that breathes, the water and food. the soul is conditioned by the emotions, mental patterns, hormonal release, body chemistry, astral influences. the spirit is conditioned by the education, beliefs system, culture. there are so many laws that we obey unconsciously and helplessly that made Gurdjieff to say : "everything is mechanical, we have so little choice, is needed a huge effort to change something in a human life"

  5. Teaching about Buddhism and Taoism

Can I ask you to explain more about anicca (impermanence,) dukkha (suffering), anatta (no self), what really means attaining a Buddha state, rebirth? Once I had a talk with a 5 year old boy about God. At that time I had a philosophical vision about God more like God=Tao=Universal consciousness. The boy asked me out of nothing: 'Do you know there are two Gods?' 'No, I know about only one, how do you know?' I replied. 'Because I saw them. In my dreams. And they talk to me and they are different' he said. I was petrified and I asked his dad which was my friend if that is what they learn at kindergarten. His dad told me that officially at the kindergarten they never teach kids about religious stuff because of cultural mixing especially here in Canada and they try to keep the education as atheistic as possible not to interfere with the religious education that kids may receive at home. Anyhow my friend never imposed on his kid some religious dogma but was amazed of the spiritual insights of his 5 yo kid. This incident influenced me and made me research deeper into the esoteric literature. What I have found is that for example in some theosophist beliefs there is a Sun God which is kind of an emperor spirit that governs entire solar system, and another spirit of the Earth that is referred to as a lesser God kind of a governor spirit of our planet. Another possibility is that we as spirits with a human life experience we have assigned two spirits guides - guardian angels as the belief in some esoteric circles not one as in official catholic dogma. I wonder if there are such teachings in Buddhism or Taoism, and I refer here not to the philosophical version but rather the esoteric version of these teachings.
  6. A 6 Dimensional Theory of Reality

Actually this theory of 6 dimensions first was taught by Gurdjieff and the first time written in "A new model of the Universe" by Ouspensky in 1931. Based on this theory Gurdjieff says that actually the reincarnation is not the usual belief but some kind of cyclic life that we live over and over again like portrait in the movie Groundhog day with Bill Murray http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groundhog_Day_(film) Here is shown a guy who accidentally went into his future and saw and touched and discussed with himself at age 70 and made a picture of him in double exemplars of different ages with his cellphone E2sp-clMk8s weird, how can this be explained?

  8. The Truth about 6 pack

I am on the Qigong belly side. When my teacher and his colleague (both kickboxers) asked their Taichi teacher in Beijing (master Chen Xiang) "it is possible to develop internal strength Dantian AND having a six pack in the same time" he laughed and said: forget about six pack if you want internal power. My teacher choose the Qigong belly, his colleague choose the six pack way... When I first saw my teacher and I saw his belly I thought he is lazy and doesn't exercise. At that time I was a fanatic about six pack, but when i felt that with his fingers he easily can stab me into my liver or stomach while his belly was hard as a rock, then he showed me how to keep the abdomen inflated like a balloon and how to cultivate it I totally forgot about six pack. Even today I can tense my abs and still see the six packs but I sincerely assure you it has none other purpose than good looking. Qigong belly - Dantian - looks like a beer gut but has nothing to do with beer, it feels soft when relaxed and hard as a basketball when hit. Someone who cultivated Dantian for a long time (like master Chen Xiang) you can feel a hard ball inside the soft/relaxed belly which can be moved inside the abdomen and thorax, he could even move the hard ball up to the throat. As an example in the MMA world is Chuck Liddell that I suspect he is practicing/using Iron Shirt by the way he is keeping the belly during the fights. forgot to mention Fedor Emilianenko which is undefeated undisputed champion at this moment ...
  9. Daoist no grain diet

You are not wrong, you're totally right, I also eat what I feel I need, I just listen my organs and my energy body which is influenced by the season and weather, so I eat meat, poultry, fish, bread, rice, tofu, I change the cooking methods and spices accordingly.

I learned Hunyuan Qigong from the lineage of Chen Xian - Feng Zhiqiang - Hu Yaozhen. I don't know if it would make a difference, in nature is way better to cultivate than in a city but I have to adapt to the conditions of my environment kind regards
  11. Daoist no grain diet

yes no grains means no wheat because it resonates with the heart and small intestine and no rice because it resonates with the lungs and colon, any cereal contains gluten therefore has a very acidifying effect on the blood, which is Yang. soybeans and mung beans resonates with the kidney, maybe the lentils also they have a strong Yin effect. Taoist used the Yin diet due to the qigong and meditation practices that creates a lot of Yang energy, especially when semen retention practices are involved in men, I don't know about women practices but I think the same Yin/Yang balance principles apply as a general rule fruits and leafy vegetables resonates with the liver and root vegetables resonates with the spleen/stomach

hi when I use the air ionizer I feel the air cooler. I usually did Hunyuan Qigong for almost an hour a day, but I observed that after the practice especially in hot-humid days the serotonin levels were so high that I needed a nap immediately after the practice which was in the morning. Then I begin to use the ionizer during the Qigong session and I felt that the energy was better balanced and usually when Yin/Yang are balanced I feel vibrations all over the body meridians. Not in my dantian, my dantian is pretty imbalanced due to an incorrect previous practice, it is too Yang in the colon and prostate area so i searched a way to balance it with something more direct. First I tried to correct my diet, then I used standing, but using standing Qigong on the copper plates connected to the zapper the cooling feeling is much more enhanced and also I can feel the vibrations activated by the zapper in the whole body. I use this air ionizer which is around 100 CAD and this zapper which is around 200 CAD by the way I tested the zapper with an oscilloscope and it is doing what is saying in the technical characteristics, that means it provides a square wave of 10.5 V amplitude with a 10% of the period on the negative side and 90% zero volts with a frequency of 2000 Hz. I hope this helps PS I disagree with the statement that serotonin is harmful, on the contrary, serotonin gives mental equilibrium and the sense of well being and calmness that qigong and meditation practices generate. Actually serotonin is produced in the intestinal tract, and this is the main reason for the dantian cultivation. But in my opinion this is only the first stage, then serotonin should be ionized through some Kan/Li practice to penetrate the blood-brain barrier to reach the cerebral cortex where should be transformed further into melatonin and DMT.

hi WYG this info about negative ions is conforming to my observations. I purchased an air ionizer which allegedly generates more negatives ions on volume unit than Niagara waterfall and I use it while I do Qigong when I need some Yin energy. The generator uses some electrical sparks with an violet light which creates the ions the same way a flash generates them during a thunderstorm. This negative ions may be breathed through the skin and acupuncture points but mainly will be inhaled in the lungs. I observed that long term exposure to negative ions (generator working overnight) may lead to catching a 'cold' so I use it especially in hot and humid days (humid air is charged with positive ions). I don't use air conditioning during summer but only this ion generator. I never use the air ionizator in winter time mainly because in winter air is dry especially in electrical heated indoors but instead in winter I use a humidificator to keep the air humidity at 50%. Also I purchased an 'Ultimate zapper' which is a square wave generator of 10.5 V and a frequency of 2000 Hz. This zapper comes with two copper rods which can be kept in hands or can be put on different skin areas near internal organs or acupuncture points. The voltage of 10.5 is required to penetrate the resistivity of the skin when the skin is humid. I also purchased two copper plates for standing on with the feet and I use them in zhan zhuang - standing qigong. According to my observation the zapper charges the Yin meridians of the feet as well as Hui Yin and Ming Men with Yin energy. These methods are some way to artificially control the environment of my home, since I live in a big city like Montreal with very hot and humid weather in summer and cold-dry in winter, and I am totally convinced the best way to charge with Yin energy is to practice in nature near a waterfall, in a evergreens forest with the feet directly on the ground/grass since the earth is the biggest static electricity (free electrons) accumulator. Maybe would be better to change the topic name 'Yin energy is negative ions?' or something... PS. I forgot to add the adverse effects of the ionizer: along with the water molecules in the air which are split in H+ and OH- the ionizer creates ozone which is kind of toxic to breathe. The best part is that ozone is highly instable and quickly oxidize whatever it encounter in its way a couple of feet distance from the ionizer such as fumes, smells or particles floating in the air. The ozone has a characteristic smell and usually the room should be ventilated and never let the ozone concentration rise to the level you can smell it. PS2. There are also water ionizers which are very expensives, but in my opinion the best alkaline charged water is in the fresh fruit juices such as watermellon, grapes, oranges... PS3. the negative ions are not quite healthful, in excess they might imbalance the body energy. They can be used to balance the effect of the positive charged polluted air and acidifying diet and metabolism but ultimately the health is a balance of Yin/Yang

  16. bruce lee for strength

here is a routine that pumps you quick: you do 1 pullup, rest 30 sec, 2 pushups, rest, then 2 pullups, then 4 pushups .... so on until you reach your limit of pullups (it's ok if you do half pullups instead o a full 'chin touches the bar') and always you double pushups number. then you can decrease the pullups/2xpushups in a pyramid manner like that: 1pullup - 2pushups 2pullups - 4pushups 3pullups - 6pushups 4pullups - 8 pushups 5pullups - 10pushups (let's say here is your limit of pullups) 4pullups - 8pushups 3pullups - 6pushups 2pullups - 4pushups 1pullup - 2 pushups pause between exercises 30 sec max 1 min. PS you should not do this everyday, let one or even two day pause between strength training to let body recover from stress

  23. help with fire and maybe water methods

The most complete book I have encountered is Nicole Tremblay's Tao de l'alimentation. She is acupuncturist, PhD in psychology and Mantak Chia's student. She made an equivalence between the 8 personality types from western psychology and the 6 types from traditional chinese medicine: choleric - shao yang (bladder/yang wood - triple heater/yang fire) nervous - jue yin (liver/yin wood - pericard/yin fire) sentimental - shao yin (kidney/yin water - heart/yin fire) passionate - tai yang (urinary bladder/yang water - small intestine/yang fire) apathic - tai yin predominantly metal (lung/yin metal - spleen-pancreas/yin earth) amorph - tai yin predominantly earth (lung/yin metal - spleen-pancreas/yin earth) phlegmatic - yang ming predominantly metal (large intestin/yang metal - stomach/yang earth) sanguine - yang ming predominantly earth (large intestin/yang metal - stomach/yang earth) Yin fire means a smaller fire, yang fire means a greater fire. The more you express the energy outside, the little you have the energy stored into the organs, so I would say that we express the organs that are depleted of energy. Also, I would say that Fire methods are heart centered like prayer, love, compassion, lotus position meditation, suffering, fasting and so on while Water methods are kidney/liver centered like grounding meditation, taiji, qigong, healthy diet, relaxation, well being in general. Actually all the methods are a mixture of Fire and Water and is just a matter of adjustment on your individuality to balance the energies.
