Wouldn't a fire hydrant suffice? And be more appropriate? -

I think it has merit. Change does not happen without chaos (and of course misery loves company). Everyone is likely to get lost / distracted along the way. More or less... And please if you wake up with your head to the East, West or South let us know!

"other people/gods/entities/whatevers can assist in burning that inner layer away. But the pitfall in that is the chance that you fall back in your old patterns ....when some else does the work, then when you do it yourself." That has certainly been true in my experience.

Their was / is a pair of Snowy Owls who made it as far south as Washington D.C. they are expected to start the journey North any day now, if they haven't already left. I think both day length and temperature have starring roles in the migration decisions different critters make.

A pair of red shouldered hawks has returned and are busy repairing / renovating their nest, the first robins of spring have arrived en masse and a late going home raccoon was harassed most of the way by the neighborhood murder of crows.

When I had a big ass greenhouse I loved going in early in the day and I mean early midnight or one am so was amongst the plants at peak oxygen. What a delight that clean pure air was. As a kid I recall seeing the skull and crossbones, the highest level of danger, on a bottle of Nicotine Sulfate a natural pesticide. I was an early adopter of organic safe for producer and consumer practices... That's both hilarious and scary at the same time!
