A wonderful contribution. The deepest truth likely this: "But part of the tao is figuring things out for yourself. Other people can only describe things so well." But all resonates truth. Thank you rex. And s.biel should you read this.

A well made point joe. My experience has taught me that the freely offered boots are of much more value than the one's bought. YMMV. And this is why. Another well made point. Imagine buying boots when while wearing wonderful ones. We're all wonderfully equipped to know the Tao. Peace Friends.

Does physical exercises cultivate chi?

Hey c'mon vortex, I was in the middle of mediating a smoking of the peace pipe...but you get HUGE props for magnitude of angular divergence from thread vector...or even from thread divergence vector . S'all good. How 'bout a puff on the pipe WYG? -

Me too. Never could get there without the crown lighting up. That's what pissed off the third eye people. Between you me and the fencepost, IMO those that think they've activated their third eye by means of the MCO without experiencing activation of the crown center (CCO) are simply mistaken. I'd better hide out now. Happy to help.
-
It has to do with practitioners thinking that they can obtain the third eye location without traversing the crown. Much ire has occurred as a result of previous presentations. Revulsion for further prohibits repeating said. Sorry.

I am. Free from cost in monetary terms. Pay should be in dedication. You young ones are foolish to seek to pay for wisdom. It is a thing borne of experience. No teacher can provide you with more experience than you can provide for yourself. Become accountable for your spiritual evolution now and save yourselves the difficulty of separating accountability for said from that whom you now think to abdicate it to.
-
Believe this to be true.
-
Requiring payment for the wisdom that one can share freely accomplishes only one thing of significance...elimination of critics. The wise will pay not in coin for the wisdom they seek. Dedication will be their currency.

Yes. This is true. Yet she remains mysterious. Like that actually. A lot. Thank you rain. Forgive us foolish men. We engineer our satori...you live it.

Interesting. Bit of an impasse. I'll try to help. Depending on many things that affect your perceptions you may find this to be on or off topic: For me, the most sexually stimulating woman is one who is hermaphroditic-like in terms of being endowed both cerebrally...in the dispassionately analytical sense...as well as deeply emotional...in the recklessly passionate sense. The union of opposites...the Tao. Hypatia was this way. There are others. For either gender, harnessing the dominant expression of one's nature can open the door to the recessive expression of one's nature. Once the latter is known it may be joined with the former and share expression. In a Life more fully realized in the Tao. Wisdom and Compassion Friends.

Intuitively I know that woman are inherently more in tune with the Tao. As humans, Love is the medium by which we know the Tao most clearly. Women are heart centered beings, it just makes sense that they would be. Experience bears this out too. But traditional Taoist internal alchemical means are so male oriented...and so I'm perplexed. How do women experience the Tao in the non-inherent ways, i.e. the satori-like, profound ways that don't happen inherently if not through the seemingly impossible avenue for them of internal alchemy? But then I smile when I realize how silly it is of me to want to know about 'how' women experience the Tao. Typical man...how? mechanism? Typical woman...mysterious. I'm sure it's supposed to be this way. I'm very hopeful that this dialog continues. Peace Friends.

Are you sure about the existance of Chi?
xenolith replied to howabouttao's topic in General Discussion
In my experience Chia is right. Chi exists. And manipulation of it can do extraordinary things. Other things may too. Just know what I know...and not to underestimate my ignorance. Peace y'all. -
Tolerate by absence. Bye.

I heard the truth bell ring when I read this.

EXCELLENT!!!! Very well done!!! You have my most enthusiastic gratitude and thanks for your perseverance! I was unwilling to suggest to you this last and most important mechanism (in my view, not so much feeling as much as simply Love itself, but that's a minor quivocation) in order that you not be provided the answer. Would've undermined the validity of your answer. I'm in complete agreement that Love is a, indeed I understand it to be THE mechanism, for stripping of the ego and exposure of the self and the Tao to awareness. Simplifying a lot here...my SKF practice utilizes neurological manipulation (classic HT stuff really) to achieve a state where the divine harmonic frequency (to use your term...which I like) dominates awareness. And yes, it's quite easy to let go of the mind, because (by intention) the neurological manipulation of SKF takes it away! The cerebral portion anyway. Temporarily. Leaving the cerebellum to (primarily) inform awareness. Just as when a newborn. Before developing neral pathways throughout the cerebral cortex and the filling of it, by necessity as creatures "of this world", with information "of this world" and keeping these in the fore of our conciousness. I've found that the amplitude of vibration (while at the same frequency, don't know what it is, but it seems 50ish to 60ish Hz) rises dramatically (and immediately...like a dynamo) when thoughts of my Loved ones, mrs. x in particular are focussed on...there is some ability to "think", but mostly it's a phenomenologically humbling and inspiring awareness of the incredible beauty and order of the Tao, and my "place" in it. Tears of joy flow spontaneously every time I achieve this state and I'm left oddly exhausted and refreshed with this profoundly compelling imperative to make Love to my wife. If only with a kiss or a hug. Or more . And the clear knowledge that we're truly Creatures of Love. Again, much thanks for your perseverance and ultimately satisfying and believable answer to a difficult question. Truly many paths lead to the Tao. Be well upon yours. Love. xeno

Thanks for trying Chris. I think I should have been more clear about what I meant by "mechanism". Mechanism means a physical, chemical, neurological or combination thereof process. "Internal reset function" leaves a lot to be desired in the context of that definition. If you'd like to try again using this definition, then by all means, please do. I'm becoming well accepting of the possibility that you don't know the mechanism. I certainly can't expect you to provide something that you don't possess.
-
Well I guess Chris is not going to respond to my question about how Kunlun achieves enlightenment. That's OK. My comments were made in the interest of encouraging honesty, integrity, credibility, disclosure and ultimately truth in advertising. I've made my comments and they'll either result in a response, manifest a change or achieve nothing. That's OK.
-
I've explained how SKF and the CCOs that result from its mastery achieve it several times here on the Forum. As recently as yesterday. Your comment is well made though sean. And I do realize that understanding of a mechanism need not necessarily accompany experience of something which results from operation of that mechanism. Lest Chris not realize it, "I don't know how" is a perfectly acceptable response to my inquiry. I'm simply interested in the Truth.
-
Chris, nothing is driving me crazy. I have a practice that leaves me wanting for naught. Thus Kunlun or any other practice holds little potential value for me. But I may try Kunlun someday for the reasons you articulated. I am inquisitive...not sure about curious. My ONLY objection to Kunlun is the specific claim made on the website of enlightenment, also described as union with the Tao or something similar. I've asked you before for an explanation of how Kunlun practice achieves this and your reply described, to paraphrase, "feeling like flying". That sounds fun. But seems more related to feeling lighter than to enlightenment. I've looked keenly for reports of anything remotely sounding like enlightenment from members of this Forum. Haven't found any. Simply put, in the absence of evidence to the contrary, the claim of enlightenment for Kunlun appears to be false advertising. So, again, simply put, I strongly suggest, in the interest of integrity, that either some accounting for HOW enlightenment is achieved by Kunlun practice or stop advertising that it does that. BTW, I don't appreciate the rude tone. I'm not demanding anything, I'm politely commenting. The flinging jing thing is just mean.
-
The more interesting question is...Are the promulgators of Kunlun bogus? We shall see. I predict that they won't answer questions asked of them. That would indicate non-truthful persons...otherwise known as bullshit artists. But let's give 'em a chance.
-
..."does nothing" has not been asserted by anyone here as far as I'm aware. Claims of enlightenment have been made on the Kunlun website. Several persons, myself included, contest that assertion. I hope you see this post as an opportunity to describe the basis for that claim.
-
Very low odds of that. This shouldn't come as new information to you, but somehow I suspect that it will...your credibility is connected to Kunlun on this Forum. Cease from making statements that you fail to honor. And your credibility will be enhanced. Perhaps Kunlun's.

Cameron, this is not a thread about me, as such I'll appreciate you're leaving me out of it. Nonetheless, for a moment I'll address your comments. My practice results in short circuiting of the sympathetic nervous system which cuts off the cerebral cortex from experiential awareness leaving only the cerebellum to inform awareness. Because all of the conditioning/learning that one experiences from the time they are born is housed in the cerebral cortex, the experience of awareness in the absence of this quite profound. Simply put, it's the experience of awareness of one's self in the absence of one's ego, something long considered the definition of enlightenment, and which, based on my experience of said agree with. So, yes, because of my repeated experience of this awareness, I consider myself enlightened. I fail, often in fact, to live in accordance with that understanding. So there is the act of enlightenment and the practice of being enlightened. I've experienced the former...several times. And I succeed at the latter sometimes, fail at others. I hope I've answered your questions. To clarify something else...I experienced CCOs before I knew what they were. Humility is my path. Exposing untruth is my mission. Thus the content of my previous post. Be well upon your path. xeno
