Compiling info on male sexual health/practices

yeah when i woke up today i thought to myself, i can't fit everything people need to know about retention onto one page.. i must be dreaming! lol i can't council people on the development on their minds with a pamphlet or a handout.. i can't give meditation instructions and fit in all that other stuff. hehehe it seems a little silly. so i think i will focus on basic info, and more on the idea of sacred masculinity and heart awareness, as someone suggested. I don't think i am going to get into retention other than to mention that it is a path of cultivation that one needs proper guidance to follow, and suggest reading the books on the list before looking for a teacher. thanks joe -
thanks for sharing!

sounds like a step in the right direction to me. Maybe your previous interests are going to be replaced by interests that involve things you actually Can take with you when you die. Who knows how these things work... i wish the best for you. most likely you will find that in time, maybe months, maybe years, you will be a much more balanced, functional, and energetic person than you were before your kundalini awoke. Remember that nothing is permanent. No-thing. Relax, there are a lot of reasons to live that transcend sensual enjoyments, most of them highly worthwhile. As i said, i imagine that your previous worldly interests and need for sense gratification is going to be replaced with a sense of spiritual inquisitiveness and deeper quest for your place and purpose in life. But nobody can say until it happens, thats just a tendancy with K. Kundalini is understood as the raw buddha-nature, the shakti of the godhead, the holy spirit, it is not without intention for your life and the realization of it's purpose. It may not care about that job, your social position, or how successful you are at dating for a transformational interim. It probably doesn't care about this incarnation of you as much as it cares about the long-term development of your spirit. But i think it always cares about your personal progress and your soul's evolution. I hope you can rest in faith and trust in that and not worry about fancy cars and sex too much. I understand that the change youre going through is very challenging. I think the best thing you can do is work with it constructively and optimistically. For example, re-evaluate your life while you have the opportunity between jobs, and take the challenge on as something that you are blessed to have the opportunity to do. Resenting it and demanding that things be otherwise seems natural, but it really only makes your path harder. There are many people on TTB that have a lot of empathy for what youre going through and will continue to help and support your growth as time goes on. (i went through years of hell myself, and only realized that the reason i was so crazy was K earlier this year. if i had known, i could have worked with it skillfully but i wasn't blessed like that. anyway... now i am grateful for everything including the ruthless nature of mother kundalini's cleansing) Good luck to you, my best wishes are with you.

yeah and don't be embarrased by changes in energy. That stuff happens to everyone. Fluctuations are part of nature's cycles. I notice your approach to yourself to be very demanding like "i must have this right now" and "this other thing is totally unacceptable" and so on. Well life doesn't really give a crap about that sort of attitude, its going to give you what you need, what you have karmically earned, however you want to look at it, this thing has its own agenda and our personal desires about what we deserve don't really matter. Not one bit. The sooner you can loosen up with that approach, and accept life on life's terms, the happier and better off you will be. Not really trying to bust your chops, but i have to say... anyway hope it helps.

who is an actor, vikram ghandi or sadhguru? cause vikram ghandi is definitely an actor, and kumare looks halarious, its gonna be on the big screen in my town in late august and i can't wait and sadhguru is definitely not an actor, and from what i gather has helped a lot of people. I found his video to made several interesting points, like that the point of life is immediate in the here and now and not waiting in heaven for (one) example. not sure which one you are talking about

The Taosit practices that are avalible?

scotch, glenfidich<sp> if i remember correctly. Thats my ninja teacher. i've only seen him slur his speech once, and that was after 17 beers and some shots. it was so funny to see him drunk, cause he used to drink me under the stupid table and never show effects of intoxication such a character -
The Significance of Free Will in Spirituality and How It Relates to Popular Ideas of No Agent
konchog uma replied to Lucky7Strikes's topic in General Discussion
in my experience there are times when one can exercise free will, and there are times when ones hands are tied so to speak. the fluctuation between the two poles of the spectrum seem to define the experience of humans as far as free will goes. so in my model there is room for both free will and determinism, and some people are more actualized (in free will) while some people are more like blobs, but the seeming contradiction of fate/destiny and free will is not an issue of mutual exclusivity IMO/IME just wanted to throw that out there, its not one way or the other. life i really diverse, complex, and strange. there is room for both free will and determinism -

the info in the public sector has the potential, when practiced diligently, to take a student to the point at which they will encounter a teacher. believe it or not, thats how the spiritual path works. i met one of my teachers in a dive bar. it doesn't matter where you are or what you are doing, when you are ready, the teacher will approach. beware of the danger of egotism in thinking you are practicing something "hidden" or "esoteric". You can feed the ego with spiritual practices as easily as you can feed it with material possessions or social status. Dissolve the idea of self and teacher and sit in emptiness and profound absorbtion in the clear light of being, tao, whatever you want to call it. god guru and self are one. edit: you don't need hidden practices or oral lineage to realize this -

right. even if you resign consciousness to the corner of neural activity, there are neurons in the heart, the gut, and throughout the entire body so the brain is not the end of the road here. and then there is mind, free of brain. i imagine not everyone tested had developed minds, and were mostly stuck in their own heads, as people tend to be (at least in the western world). interesting thread, thanks for posting edited for grammar and punctuation -
Drop all Mantras (Even that one), Do nothing (not even doing nothing)
konchog uma replied to skydog's topic in General Discussion
no that actually has nothing whatsoever to do with what i said to you edit: im telling you facts about osho's life to support the idea that he is a false guru, smoke and mirrors, hedonism, not the real spiritual path. i dont care whether you have opinions or not. i never called you opinionated. all i said is that you were welcome to your opinions. sharpen your reading skills. -

again, you are welcome to your opinions, including even that one! lol even if you don't think you are "opinionated" or actually believe that you don't believe any of what youre saying... very osho-ish but im done talking about this. good luck with your practices -

konchog uma replied to skydog's topic in General Discussion
every point ever made can be argued. that statement means nothing. and it definitely doesnt mean im interested in arguing about it. i answered your question because you asked! of course if youre argumentative or think you know the answer already youre going to protest... so what? and if you find excessive luxury, scandal, promiscuity, and a biological weapons lab "minor details" about a gurus life, thats well like your opinion man. -
tsongkhapas commentary looks interesting.. i have actually never read a book on the 6 yogas of naropa even tho its a practice specific to my buddhist lineage (kagyu) mostly because my lama said you can't really get it from books and when im ready i will learn it if im meant to. its always fascinated me tho, and i know a little about tumo and phowa, but not much more about it. maybe i should read up on it hmmmm

konchog uma replied to skydog's topic in General Discussion
i have refrained from leading people into hedonistic self indulgence in the name of fad spirituality (tantra) i have attempted to cut to the root of mind instead of getting lost in its byways i have attempted to cut through spiritual materialism (am leading a study group on that book next month at my sangha for bonus points) i am not a "drug addled fuckwit" i have never taken part in the poisoning of a public food supply i have cultivated myself sincerely, in an earnest attempt to transcend my conditioned self and live in spontaneous harmony with the way. i can get by with only one automobile i could go on edit: why is this personal now? osho's rolls royces and biological warfare lab at his ashram speak for themselves. why am i making a silly list of so called accomplishments? does this serve a purpose? -

i looked up info on NASA releasing those tapes and couldn't find anything. Is that a spoof that someone audio doctored, or are you serious about what you wrote? -
it can affect both to a great degree

Using Ibogaine or LSD to terminate kundalini ?
konchog uma replied to mike 134's topic in General Discussion
i would just like to say that i wouldn't personally use iboga, and even if i was after some quick release and couldn't stand it, i would only consider using it after cleaning the rest of life up as neatly as i POSSIBLY could, and after finding a genuine shaman who you talked to about it beforehand, getting answers to all your questions and concerns first. i dont actually recommend iboga by a factor of one million. i think some things are just hard, and you go through them, and come out the other side a better person. Kundalini is one of those things. There might not be a quick fix for you, and you always run the risk of destabilization with entheogens. Every single time. I don't know if an iboga shaman is going to tell you that. -
Using Ibogaine or LSD to terminate kundalini ?
konchog uma replied to mike 134's topic in General Discussion
1. In that case I would recommend Iboga over LSD by about a million to zero. And i would do it in a sacramental setting with a shaman who is aware of your condition and exactly what you want to effect by ingesting it. 2. whats so bad about your experience? tightness and tension? shakes and shudders? are you hearing voices or having disturbing experiences? sorry i dont remember from previous posts, hope youre not offended 3. a clean lifestyle will help. Yvonne Kason's 10 step K-help outline, from the website i linked to earlier: Develop and stick to a regular routine – have regular rising, bed, and meal times and set aside regular periods each week for exercise. Get plenty of sleep and rest and set aside regular times for daily relaxation and weekly recreation. Do not skip meals. Eat a nutritious, well-balanced diet. You don't need to deprive yourself of occasional treats, but avoid junk foods in general. Keep the amount of stress and hectic activity to a minimum. Communicate and share your thoughts and feelings with a supportive person daily, or as often as possible. Keep your sex life moderate, and pay attention to your body if it seems to be telling you to cut down. Spend time in nature; get plenty of natural daylight. Avoid toxins and self-destructive habits such as smoking and drugs; keep alcohol consumption to a minimum. Get regular physical exercise, at least two or three times a week. Spend a moderate amount of time each day in meditation, prayer, and/or a spiritual practice. doing all that will help immensely, but if your heart just hurts or your back aches, thats obstructions. I don't personally know if iboga can help to clear energetic obstructions, so i would look into it further before taking that route. I think Seth Ananda might know the answer but im not sure. A genuine iboga or Bitwi shaman will definitely know the answer. Best to you! -
thanks decibelle and HE for your elucidations suchness is hard to talk about, and for people who like things pinned down in a left brained way, it doesn't lend itself to that easily. I could not approach mahamudra until i was using both hemispheres in tandem, and even then i could not approach mahamudra BY using both hemispheres in tandem, if that means thinking. So as a comment to Jeff, suchness is the self-evident isness or the unfabricated nature of something. When you try to pin it down and define it, you fabricate it. Suchness can be experienced, but its really hard to adequately define. IME it only appears when you stop trying to rationalize it, and think logically about but where is the suchness of so-and-so or thoughts like that... the suchness of it is right in front of your face! lol forest for the trees yknow? Like decibelle said its not that "suchness is _______"... suchness is suchness, it just is.

except that osho would use freedom joy and dance to justify what basically boils down to spiritual materialism. its not that all the concepts he employed to teach his followers are tainted or bad, obviously theres nothing wrong with freedom, joy, or dance, its that osho was a proponent of bliss for bliss sake, which is dangerous. Besides, you can tell from the degree of wakefulness that his followers exhibited when they poisoned the food supply in a public place that he was not teaching them interconnectedness, awareness, integrity, etc. He was stroking their egos and they were stroking his, and the whole thing led to egomaniacal behavior. Does he even have any followers who became teachers, or were they all so lazy lounging about the ashram (where i've heard from one of garchen rinpoche's students that you now have to get tested for aids to be accepted in) that they forgot their progress? so i figure you have a pretty solid perspective CT and im not arguing with you or misintepreting the smile at the end of your sentence up there, but i think its worth my saying that using spiritual words and concepts to paint a blissful picture of self-indulgence and ego driven agenda is misleading spiritual seekers in the darkest way. -
Using Ibogaine or LSD to terminate kundalini ?
konchog uma replied to mike 134's topic in General Discussion
and i likewise hear you that iboga can do awesome things to release mental obstructions, and quite probably energetic obstructions too. Since energetic obstructions are the main reason that people have a hard time with their kundalini, it stands to reason that iboga can help clear obstructions and possibly help mike 134 to have a more balanced experience dealing with it. But in my study of it, entheogens usually intensify the K itself. So if mike wants to clear his mind and push through some obstructions, then thats what iboga is for. But if he wants to return his K to a dormant state, i don't think entheogens are the answer at all. Blessings
