  1. Bone Marrow

in meditation i asked my higher self about it and it said nice and clear, i am not even at a good point of fullness yet, i am just beginning to generate the robust spiritual energy that i need and can handle. it said to keep going and for now to follow my thirst for energy because when i am full i will plateau and not be as thirsty. my higher self has a nice laugh
  2. Bone Marrow

thanks. if you're saying that, i probably need to tone it down a little, and be careful to channel it appropriately. i appreciate the warning.
  3. Bone Marrow

had an issue, solved it, nevermind.
  4. Bone Marrow

wow because of the radiant energy i have been packing my marrow with, my left big toe bone lit up like a neon bulb! i haven't gotten to the one pointed concentration of my whole skeleton yet but i have the anatomy books i need. i had been using a technique to absorb the brilliant luminosity into the marrow and then when it was gone from my minds eye, use "clear light" to stimulate realization of emptiness, then after sitting in the clear light for a while (which is great cause it makes sure you got all that ambient luminosity into your marrow ) i would empty myself of everything even clear light and try to realize that the dao was both radiant light and clear light, darkness and emptiness (i sit with my eyes closed) and every other radiation and frequency of energy, but is not those energies but the mystery which gives rise to all. so i would let that awareness fill the empty space where "i" used to be. when i do this i feel touched by something really awesome. then i smile and get up. buuuuut... i really like the idea of bright white skeleton samadhi, then the dusty bones blowing away i am going to incorporate that into my sittings, since i do chakra workout every day. the wind that blows the bones away can be made of clear light, but i am getting a good feel for emptiness now so i don't think i need that trigger as much. thanks for the tip joeblast, i wonder if i will see into other people's bodies as bodri claims, that would be wierd.
  5. Bone Marrow

thanks! {edit} i could have guessed that the most helpful infos were going to be links back here i will look into that bodri information, although what i am doing is most like bone breathing, taking all the luminous energy in and telling it to seal and merge with the marrow. also, do you mean that the endocrine system catalyzes the jing? I will read more about it from a medical standpoint. I don't have a firm foundation in medical qigong and that sort of thing but i am *trying* (holy shit) to understand jerry johnsons book. I'm sure he covers the endocrine system thoroughly. thanks again!
  6. Call for help!

in my experience, nothing is actually "free". And in my opinion, something should be offered for teachings. But in the case of my offering to mentor you kuji-in HNJT, money needn't be exchanged. All i would ask is that you do the same for someone else who needs it one day. I would do it just to burn some karma for all the videos and ebooks i have torrented! *gasp* :D haha but seriously, i would do it cause its a really healing system and also cause i've been there and i hear your cry for help
  7. Watch Ross Jeffries use NLP to pick up women

thats some heavy dice to roll... i dunno great points... food for thought
  8. New book Wuji Qi Gong

thanks. I like the Standing Bear video.
  9. Watch Ross Jeffries use NLP to pick up women

she liked it cause she was hypnotized! hahahaha when she gets home she'll be like "how did i get here?" "wtf just happened" sure he's good, but i don't think he's setting a good example. Hypnotization is really serious stuff, and people should be in a safe setting with a caring professional before they are induced. Not in public, unbeknownst to themselves, with some perv trying to put his dick in them. Thats totally irresponsible and creepy. Just saying.
  10. Bone Marrow

thanks joeblast! i don't know "white skeleton meditation" or maybe i do but not by that name. Can you tell me about it? when i am done exercising the chakras, i get to the top chakra (white light) and let it infuse with divine light and come down into my body and turn all the colors of light into white light. Then i breathe this light into my bone marrow. I like what you said about radiant energy enhancing the function of marrow, because when i invoke divine light it is like 1000 lightning bolts blinding me and i get an awesome feeling from packing my marrow with it. Since i started doing that meditation i have been sleeping less and feeling more rested! I also wake up without grogginess, and some mornings i can feel my bones release a shot of energy that vitalizes me! Pretty great {edit} what is conceptually tricky about charging the endocrine system? The complexity of the endocrine system? Can you clarify?
  11. The Thrusting Vessel

thanks joeblast, i was confused when i saw a diagram that had points on the belly and abdomen, because i thought they were acupuncture points, and i didn't understand that diagram. I had thought the channel to be completely internal except the bahui and huiyin points my interest is more in macrocosmic orbit than tcm, so the finer details aren't something i am studying yet. does the branching off in the chest have anything to do with the yin and yang arm channels in MaCO? It looked like it branched off in about the same place (heart area).
  12. Call for help!

yeah hot nirvana judo trend, i will show you kuji-in if you want to learn it. I have healed *incredibly* by cultivating that system. So until you find your teacher, you can work on your chakras and your siddhis. You don't have to mentor me anything if you don't want to either. Or maybe since i have all this inner light and shen stuff, you could balance it by being some feedback in my qigong learning. Whatever's clever, as they say. Thats about all i can offer to help.
  13. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

Hello Sifu Dunn, I have been reading through this thread for a couple days now, and am very impressed! So i have ordered the Long Form video, and the 6 Seated Meditations and 5 Advanced Seated Meditations videos to start. I appreciate all the time you have taken here to offer helpful advice to your DVD students. I also appreciate that this thread has been running for 2 years strong with 60 pages!! My goal is to cultivate healing energy and peaceful inner radiance. I will practice from your DVDs and then i think i will add Standing Meditations. Do you recommend any DVDs or books in particular sequence in order to grow in the best way? Thank you and bless you! You seem like quite an amazing teacher, i really look forward to working with your videos {edit} are the standing meditations like nei kung?
  14. Yi Jin Jing (muscle/tendon changing classic)

those seated meditation videos were the xi sui jing, or bone marrow and brain washing. yi jin jing is a standing form that is stretchier than those vids, and some excercises to pack qi into the fascia near the bones and in the muscles. not that there is anything wrong with spontaneous qigong. As long as you don't start frothing at the mouth and speaking in tongues, that is.
  15. Bone Marrow

thanks, that is cool info. questions... who wrote it? and whats it called?
  16. hey everyone

most of the chicks here know kung fu anyway you're better off on match.com
  17. Yi Jin Jing (muscle/tendon changing classic)

thanks chidragon, i'll keep those for reference. :)
  18. Yi Jin Jing (muscle/tendon changing classic)

i just ordered root of chinese qigong and its on its way to my house now. I think it will help a LOT to read that. do you mean regulating body mind breath qi and shen?
  19. Yi Jin Jing (muscle/tendon changing classic)

i just got a nice email from my teacher. He says xi sui jing is too advanced, i don't have the foundation, and he won't teach it to me, but he will teach me yi jin jing. So i am happy about that. Dr Yang writes that a firm foundation is needed for xi sui jing and that one must practice yi jin jing for a year before even studying xi sui jing. Its good my teacher goes along with that, not saying "oh sure i'll teach you that" since it seems like i am getting big beginners eyes and wanting to learn some complex stuff, he advises sticking to foundational exercises like 8 pieces of brocade, and more basic stuff to build a firm foundation, and then moving on to advanced studies later. I want to pick a set or two and do them every day while i learn qigong basics. I am thinking that four seasons qigong, muscle tendon change, and 8 pieces of brocade should be enough to work on while i study qigong philosophy and general principles, and practice my breathing and orbits and general stuff. So if anyone has any feedback or suggestions about that, i would love to hear it. Otherwise, i'm just gonna stick to what my teacher says.
  20. So What does Tao say about attachment/desire

i think daoism would take issue with some desires and not others. Some are extraneous and a waste of energy. Some, like the desire to eat when hungry, are born of survival and not of frivolity. So i don't think you can lump all desires under one umbrella or we end up throwing the baby out with the water Then again, i dont think daoism takes issue with extraneous desires because they are desires per se, but because they waste energy.
  21. I'm a little confused

for buddhists who say "everything is impermanent" immortality just means living in the eternal moment of now. And for daoists who don't believe the journey has an end, enlightenment implies some sort of stasis. But even immortals transcend the physical plane eventually, and enlightenment actually IS based on stasis, keeping the stasis of calm abiding and emptiness whilst moving about and doing ones dynamic actions and such. So i think these concepts are much misunderstood, and probably have a lot in common in and of themselves. and between buddhism and daoism in general, there are more similarities than differences. To be balanced and attain longevity, one must clean the psyche and the energy body of afflictions and return the breath to that of a newborn childs breath. Same with transcendence and enlightenment. I think that immortality and enlightenment are real, although immortality is really longevity, and enlightenment is just a step on the path, the beginning of another journey. Why not try to incorporate both, is my personal attitude instead of drawing lines and saying, well these people are blue, and those people are red. Me, i think i will just paint myself purple and carry on my merry way. some other similarities include focus on meditation as path, penetration of spiritual dimension, acknowledgement of attained ancestors as deities, pure internalism (external elixer schools aside), drive to realize the nature of reality, cultivation of purity and virtues, i would have to guess that the list just goes on and on so i will stop right there for me, roughly speaking, i apply buddhism when i need structure and logic, a set of clear guidelines, or a philosophical foundation. I apply daoism when i need formless adaptation, instinct, or an energetic foundation.
  22. Sex and Karma

just like electron movement in atoms that have touched, and spin in particles that have touched, although miles away they are linked forever. then again why worry since we are by that line of thought just playing out the karma we have had since the big bang when we were all 1 point in the void but i think that karma does not hinge on whether or not you have guilt, or believe in karma, etc. It is just part of action/reaction cycle. In fact, it IS that cycle. When a karmic linking is debt based or negative it is a bond or tie as you say. As i have learned, the only way to break it is to pay off that karma with beneficial action. If one is unwilling to do that, then option 2 is suffering. This way of considering karma is only 1 interpretation, there are more, and i don't claim to be right. Haahaha no catfights indeed *waves white flag*
  23. Yi Jin Jing (muscle/tendon changing classic)

thanks very much! That confirms what i had sort of surmised from my beginning research. Very helpful reply i am realizing how lucky i am because reading yang books is like "holy sh*t are you serious"... my teacher studied under helen wu and daniel lee too! i have so much to learn and i am in the right place to do it so i think i will look for "chi kung for health and martial arts", and i think i will schedule a private session with my teacher to learn some of this w transmission not just from the internet hahahaha :D thank you very much for taking the time to help me!
