Thanks. So plants only work on autopilot (no choice/will), do you agree with dmattwads about animals? Do they have choice, or only respond as to there nature?
-
Ok, so animals are sentient. But, on our original topic of evil... Does evil (or wrong doing) exists? If someone chooses to torture little puppies just for the fun of it, is that evil?
-
Hi ChiForce, In your above statement, are you saying that the plant has a "choice"in the matter? Or, that it is more autopilot according to it's nature? Thanks.
-
Is this so? Could you quote sutra where this is stated? Does a flower feel that it suffering and wish to be free from it? Or, does a flower just rest in its natural state?
-
Do they? Or, is it all conditioned responses? This is an interesting question to me. Earlier you said that one must be "enlightened" to truly have free will. Does a cat or wolf get to choose? To choose, does not one need to be self aware?
-
Maybe where there is free will or a choice in the intent.

A comment on a testimonial for the entity removal (the testimonial is inwww.EasternInternalArts.com) from Sifu Jenny Lamb:

Since you have described that there is no fixed technique, could you give an example of an entity removal that you have done before? How and what you did? Thanks, Jeff -
That is why I asked the question on defining "evil". I think we can all agree that a cat eating a mouse or a wolf eating a deer is "nature" and not evil. Just as a flood (is nature) and not evil. But, to move away from nature, could evil be defined as "action with the intent to cause pain & suffering in another"? A cat or wolf does not attack for food or survival, but just for the fun of hurting and causing suffering. Does that ever happen in nature?
-
I would definitely agree that definitions of evil vary. But, in our shared human perspective, are there intended acts that can be agreed upon as evil? Or, are you stating that there is no such thing as evil? I would also agree that most acts are autopilot conditioned responses. My question about "independent view" came from your statement of "there must first be a perceiver". I took that to mean that you did not perceive there to be a perceiver.
-
I would say that it depends on how one define "evil". Are you stating that you have no "independent view" of consciousness/existence? Also, if there is no perception... there is no such thing as "free will" to have "intent"?

Then see if you can feel any spot in the body where the flow is obstructed. That spot will probably be associated with the issue/fear causing the meditation agitation. In later stages, it is often found in the heart area.
-
The energetic effect is dependent on your state (or quiet) of mind. If you are uncomfortable (and thinking/focusing on it) while sitting, it can be challenging to quiet the mind. Maybe try going for a walk and just "listening".
-
I think walking meditation is a great and sometimes be better than sitting meditation. If you can, try it with a tree lined sidewalk. After a while, you may start to notice that it seems like you are actually stationary and the scenery is moving like in a movie. Best regards, Jeff

I think you have raised a very interesting question that most face. Do you have a definition of "evil" that you would use? Are there "intended acts" that can be universally defined as evil/wrong? Thanks, Jeff
-
Interesting concept... So by your definition of subjective win/lose perspective, you would not consider an intent to harm as "evil" or wrong? Is there any intended act that you would define as "evil"? So your definition of "evil" is that it is only a subjective perceptive of the recipient of an act (with limited perspective)? And as such, there is no such thing as wrong or evil? Thanks, Jeff

I have found that to happen periodically. Meditation sort of digs into (or exposes) things in the subconscious mind. As one starts to get close to a major fear/issue the mind can become agitated. Almost like the energy flows are "bumping up" against the issue. Do you currently feel energy flows in the body? Best, Jeff

Seems kind of hard on us married men. Energy flows through, but it is not draining.
-
Didn't you just point out above that one can't tell in your example? May have been saving from the spider. Karma (and "evil") are found in the intent of the act. Not the action itself. Best wishes, Jeff

So "evil" comes down to the "intent" of the clown?

[Tantra] What female action is of "equal value" to a men's ejaculation? In erms of Qi-loss and rebalance through the woman
Jeff replied to 4bsolute's topic in General Discussion
Hi Vmarco, My experience has been different. I personally know four spiritually advanced women who have the ability to share in the energy loop. Also, sharing in such a loop is extremely intimate, and rather than just sex, it is more like a shared oneness. I do not see how the energy flows would be possible as part of a threesome. Regards, Jeff -

Hi 4bsolute, A woman (in love and) experienced in tantric techniques can transmute the sexual energy into higher heart/love energy and send it back to you at the heart level. Rather than being depleting, a joint energy loop of love and purification can be created. Best wishes, Jeff -
Hi Salaam, My experience with the Holy Spirit has been different. No mark has the power to hold back the Holy Spirit... John 14:10-17 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. 12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask[c] anything in My name, I will do it.15 “If you love Me, keep[d] My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. And... 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are. Peace, Jeff

Hi Shawn, Yes, I have experienced various types of "energies" in my body and others. I have found four main different types (or frequency ranges). None of them really require physical contact, that is why I had asked my previous question. Also, I do not have a martial arts background. Do you? Could it have just been a very fast push? Regards, Jeff

Hi Salaam, What is the "mark of the beast"? Why do you feel that it need to be removed to feel the power of the Holy Spirit? Also, can you feel chi moving in the body? Best, Jeff
-
Hi Shawn, Thanks. Also, have you worked with any powerful energy healers in the past? I would be interested in the difference of the energy feel. Thanks again, Jeff
