  1. Karma, Destiny and Mastering your Life

Well said. With totally clarity... My will and Thy will are the same.
  2. OK, sorry if I misinterpreted your statements. It all seems to be where the perspective (or attention) is focused.
  3. The importance of the heart

Can't be too "slave-like" if you have time for all of this posting... Have a good one.
  4. I have had a couple discussions with Malcolm (and I am sure that he would agree with you ). But, the "primordial state" is what is. Tibetan Dzogchen is not the only tradition of "direct transmission". In certain Gnostic Christian traditions, it is called the "Thunder path".
  5. The importance of the heart

The LDT is a major connection point for/to the "body". There are many layers (and loops). We are also the "petrol".
  6. You imply that OC is a "state" that comes and goes (or is seen). OC is the "field of awareness/consciousness". Thoughts like "I am hungry" are attention (or identification) with the body. Noticing things (objects) in the field of awareness does not necessarily imply that one is not "residing" in the field of awareness/consciousness.
  7. The importance of the heart

Energy follows your focus/attention. The energy vibrates (impacts) issues (or obstructions) stored in the body. Different types of issues are stored at various levels. The LDT is a good place to start, but it is often better to have a balanced "flowing" meditation. Finally, in the end, it all comes back to the heart.
  8. Hi Dreambliss, I completely understand your perspective on Christianity. Opening yourself to other traditions is very helpful. As you study other traditions, I think you will find a deeper understanding in the words of Jesus. So much has been lost/obscured by the "institutions". Jesus says nothing about a "judging old man" in the Gospels, only a "spirit" and "love". If you don't mind, a couple of suggestions... Read the first chapter of gospel of John (King James version). It is a quick and consise overview about Jesus coming to teach us all to be "sons of God". Also, read the Gospel of Thomas. It will help point the way. Upon exploration, you may find that Christian Mysticism is remarkably similar to Tibetan Dzogchen. In the end, there is only one Primoridal State (or being one with God).
  9. Passing Notes

Words confuse, while Thunder roars. Share it through the heart.
  10. The six yogas. There are many good descriptions, but I think something like "The Bliss of Inner Fire: Heart Practice of the Six Yogas of Naropa" (Courtin; Yeshe, Lama Thubten,..) is pretty good. In the practice of Tummo, it is described as the winds coming back to reside in the heart. It is same as having "control" over Kundalini.
  11. You will get a fair amount of variety on perspectives on AYP. Overall, I think it is a pretty stable and safe system. One recommendation would be that it is helpful to include a grounding component to meditations like spinal breathing. At more advance energy levels the spinal breathing loop is somewhat limiting.
  12. The eighth is a universal (or shared) chakra for everyone. The medieval battlefield was probably the way your mind percieved/translated the group human energies. The energies at the 8th are at a level vastly beyond the "body energies" of the seven, so the the symbolism of the warrior probably was "telling you" that now was not the time. But, if you "knew" it was the eighth, you have a pretty good friend in that fox guiding you on your search.
  13. Becoming like a child... ?

On "being like a child", a couple of thoughts... Think of going on a trip with your mother. When she was holding your hand, you never worried about where you were going. You knew (had faith) that she knew where she was going and never doubted. Also, remember the wonder that you felt exploring a new place (like a carnival or amusement park).
  14. The eighth chakra (in the normal 7 chakra system) is the "integration" chakra. Some ancient texts describe it that after the crown is fully open, everything flows back into the heart. It is also sometimes described as the opening of the second "chamber" in the heart. The second "chamber" or bindu is directly connected to a chakra that can be felt above the crown. The eighth is really the merger (or integration) of the seven chakras of the body. Naropa (Tibetan Budhism) also describes it as a very advanced stage of "Tummo" and the beginning of the "completion stage". It is the beginning of oneness with everything.
  15. I think this is a very good point. Using terms like "witness" can also be dangerous, once one thinks "I am the witness", they have slipped into object land. I like the term "background field of awareness".
  16. Five Important Themes of the DDJ

I do not have an issue with describing it as a female principle, but "bearing yet not possessing" would seem to apply to all aspects of life. It could also be said as "acting yet not attached to the outcome". What would you consider the "opposite" or male component of the concept?
  17. Siddha Bognathar

How about Proverbs 19:11... A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense. (p.s. TI - not too bad on the story)
  18. The Dao De Jhing is a shamanistic treatise

While I would prefer to return to the topic... GrandmasterP, if you don't mind, a question... In you work as a medium, have you ever tried to delve deep into "consciousness" and connect with a "divine presence"? Or, do you just "open" for those "near"?
  19. Five Important Themes of the DDJ

I would be interested in hearing more (and discussing) about your "path of the heart". Does it also relate to the female principle in the TTC?
  20. The Dao De Jhing is a shamanistic treatise

Some people do love to judge...
  21. Craving

Thank you. Your "Hobson's Choice" point is a very good one. With something like anger (or attachments), seeing that it is a Hobson's choice is a huge step toward being in the moment. Once seen, then the choice can be made. After becoming comfortable with the choice, do you notice that the anger seems to never even really present itself anymore? Best also to you and your family.
  22. Craving

Sorry to have made your tea cold... You are too young to choose tea over beautiful women anyways... You have brought up quite a bit to discuss. My one concern is that since we are from different cultures and traditions, we may associate different meanings to some of the words. So for a little clarification... When one is angry, do you consider it a choice? I would consider it an automated response (based on previous memory/conditioning).
  23. Five Important Themes of the DDJ

Agreed. Harmony is a very good word. But, I do not not have the same static connotations with the word balance. Any other concepts that anyone thinks we are missing from the text?
  24. Five Important Themes of the DDJ

Thanks. Let us continue... The remainder of SFH's section 42... The Ten Thousand Things each contain Yin and Yang. They are in harmony by having both of these forces. From this, the forces are divided still; for the Male has more Yang and the Female has more Yin. So they are different. By coming together, they beget another life. So the Ten Thousand Things depend on these forces. When the forces are upset and out of balance, so the Earth and the Ten Thousand Things will suffer. Know the balance and all will be well. It seems to share our understanding on the need for balance. Any other thoughts from the words?
  25. Five Important Themes of the DDJ

So everything is self-becoming independently? No "oneness" of everything (or shared consciousness) in your model/theory? No divine beings or immortals? Sounds like a very healthy attitude. Agreed on the equal importance. Which leads us into the rest of section 42... Finding the Higgs particle/field should create an interesting future discussion... Thanks again.
