We walk the Way, not to reach the destination

Hi TI, I hope you are well. Not trying to "enter" the debate on AYP, but I thought it important to clarify a point. I have actually spent a day now at two AYP retreats, and there is no "booze" offered or available. I was invited to a "pre-retreat dinner party", where wine was offered. The dinner party attendees were all good friends and it was just a social gathering. The retreats are very simple, basically 2 or 3 sessions of mantra meditation & basic energy practices with walks in the woods and discussion in between. While not really an AYP practitioner, I consider a few of the AYP retreat leaders very good (and knowledgable) friends.

Hi TI, Consciousness "shatters" because one tends to percieve consciousness in "layers" (or as worlds).. Just like the concept of meditation (or going into deeper states), in shattering, you realize that everything is the same "layer" (or integrated) and accessible. The early times going in to "nirvikalpa samadhi" can feel like being sucked, pulled or falling into a void. This is particularly true when pulled in by a guru.

Sounds like a great event. Was it like a connection that expanded into a "shared space" of silence? Very interesting on the "body to dust". I consider my body a friend and work on integration. Are all the attachments of the ego still gone? Ever still experience anger or irritation?

How many Taoists are out there in the TTB....?
Jeff replied to ChiDragon's topic in Daoist Discussion
Would have been better if you would have waited with all of the correct answers... Less fun, because no one else need answer. -
In Tibetan terms, it is found in the Six Yogas of Naropa. Kundalini is described in terms of "Inner Fire". The "connections" that ShaktMama are describing are found in the Tibetan practices of "Becoming Vajradhara". A couple of good books are: The Bliss of Inner Fire: Heart Practice of the Six Yogas of Naropa by Courtin, Robina; Yeshe, Lama Thubten; Cameron, Ailsa The Six Yogas of Naropa: Tsongkhapa's Commentary by Mullin, Glenn H. Hope that helps.

For what it is worth, my experiences in the last few years have been very similar to what ShaktiMama has described. As one removes obstructions and grows in sensitivity of the energy flows, you can feel the flows connecting everything. Feeling those flows, one can connect and even "merge". If you would like to learn more about it, the ancient writings of Naropa describe it.

Fun banter... Any of you ever had any experience with an Kirilian imaging chamber? Based on the old technology of photographing auras with Kirilian photography, they have developed real time systems that can see the ongoing change of state with the flows. My local wholistic doctors says she has seen the realtime flow coming out of the hands of an experienced Reiki master.

I also appreciate and enjoy TaoBums...

As you have pointed out, the vibrations are the "noticing" of the energy flows that connect everything. As "obstructions" are removed the energy flows more freely and the vibrations become more smooth. Have you ever "followed" the flows and "connected" with "plants, persons, things, planets, etc"?

As Sinfest says, powers are a side effect of practices and the growth in silence/energy. Also, often they require specific training to implement (get a "feel" for).

If you quiet (or empty) your mind, the statements make more sense...

Great topic and points. Just be careful as you practice with another person. As you both open and the energy/love expands between the two of you, it increases the rate of coming upon deeper issues/obstructions. Shared space is an infinitely beautiful thing, but there can be a lot of bumps along the road as you move deeper than sexual fun.

As energy moves into new areas, it runs into obstructions (issues) stored in the body. As obstructions are released they can manifest as colds, rashes, etc... Not saying it is not just a cold, but as you pointed out, the body also needs to "detox" the issue. As you said, overall energy work is very good for the body. You just need to be careful not to go to fast and overload (maybe get a cold or rash).
-
Sore throat/flu can often be a symptom of clearing energy obstructions (maybe around the throat chakra). Take your time, but obstructions need to be cleared. Sounds like you are making good progress.

It is integrating (being able to perceive) "layers" of consciousness. Form & formless or earth & heaven... All layers are always present (or merged), it is just a question of where your attention is...
-
It is also easier to do with a member of the opposite sex. There is a natural flow and energy loop that is created as the energies try to balance. Also, it is easier to notice if you quiet the mind by "listening".

I would also be interested. Thanks.

Thank you. It is excellent.

Taoist Alchemy & Immortality - Absorption of energy from the Tao required or not?
Jeff replied to Wells's topic in Daoist Discussion
Energy works on a spectrum of "vibrational frequencies". We all have various layers of issues/energy obstructions which create the sense of separation of oneness. Different frequencies work with different types of issues. The body can refine and produce all necessary frequencies. But, it is also possible to "draw" in energies. As one progress... there is really no difference between drawing in and refining. All is Tao. Tao is all. -
Thanks, I very well thought out post. Can you feel the wave?

Hi Sinfest, Thank you for the excellent story. It conveys far more to me than your "clever" response posts.
