In Taoism, what you are looking for is found here... SIX The valley spirit never dies; It is the woman, primal mother. Her gateway is the root of heaven and earth. It is like a veil barely seen. Use it; it will never fail. -Tsu, Lao. Tao Te Ching

The approach is based in reverence/love for the goddess. One can start with simple sexual desire, and as long as it is combined with true respect and reverence, it is possible to make a connection to such a goddess. With the connection, ones (starting) sexual energy is directed to the “higher being”, that energy is then purified (refined) and returned. This purification loop incrementally raises the person higher, first moving into love and then higher into more oneness. Such purification loops are a natural male - female energy dynamic, just that it is much higher with a divine being ( buddhism has the similar concept with higher dakinis). In your specific case, the approach is challenging as you have already laughed at it (showing a mental lack of respect/reverence).
-
Shakti is never a standalone approach. It is a subset or controlling energy dynamic in many systems. You will find the approach best definined in Kashmir Shaivism, but in Dzogchen and tantric Buddhism it is why Buddha’s always have consorts (Shakti component).

You have more broadly opened your heart and are starting to notice/feel your own internal energy. In more taoist terms you would say you are currently more "receptive" side (or Yin), and have not started yet to balance the energy and transmit (more Yang). Without the balancing release, the energy spilled over into your conscious mind which created the visuals and feelings. All positive stuff, but it becomes increasing important that you learn to balance and let stuff go as the build up can create more negative like visions as your body translates the imbalance/overload. Things like MCO or body scanning will be helpful to you. Also, engaging more with the people and world around you will help too. At an emotional level, what you need to do would translate as being more outgoing and loving towards others. Also, a more advanced practioner can help you rebalance too. For that, the person would go more "Yin" than you, which would cause you to go more Yang to balance with the joint connection. For something like that, an advanced female practioner would be the easiest.

I have stopped by a few times in the last few weeks and it is deader than dead. Wondering why people ultimately stopped going? Thanks.

He goes into great detail in his explanation of higher stuff and how it works. Well beyond any other documentation that I have ever seen at that kind of level. Super accurate stuff given his KS framework.
-
Then yes, I am familiar with the concepts. In essence, the layers of speech, are layers of vibration/transmission/energy (spanda in KS), they translate into effective levels of (universal) mind. With the highest layer that of full universal mind or Lord Siva. I am a huge fan of Abhinavagupta writings and the actual practical application at very deep and refined spiritual levels. While his wording can get sort of flowery with the descriptions, I dont think there is any other teacher that spells things out in such detail. Truly sublime teachings.
-
Could be translation, but do you mean Vak, or relative layers of "supreme speech"? Also, I am not aware or familiar of Abhinavagupta teaching something like tapoyoga. Is that some tradition? Additionally to the broader point, in KS terms, one "integrates" with the Supreme speech (of Shiva) through this connection of heart (and immersion). Sort of like the yogi becomes more one with Shiva, thru the purification process. With the practice, the yogi "powers up" as you can see as described in the text below... Oh Parvati! His will is one with my will, my supreme energy. It is one with myself and rises from my own nature.35 The energy of the will of this yogi has become the cause of the entire universe because the energy of this yogi is one with the energy of Lord Siva, just as heat is one with fire and rays are one with the sun. In the same way, his energy is one with the self of Siva. (Netra Tantra 1.25-26)

Yes, but it is really more of a capacity/capability for it. If one was only going to "perv" with them, then they would not really have the potential to access them in the first place. Also, I mentioned Parvati and Tara in particular because because they have no such concept of being offended. Any true connection and focus will naturally be led higher, no matter the "starting point". Abhinavagupta (the great KS master) explains it like this in the Triadic Heart of Siva... "The initiated one knows this supreme knowledge characterized by the Heart and which is given by the divinities of Bhairava who are within the Heart and who bring escape from the vibration of manifestation which leads to an obscuring of the Self, and are rather directed towards the supreme vibration which consists of the opening of the Self. These same divinities destroy the chief bond which is the state of contraction." And once again in describing the approach to the practice of "immersion" (as with the light of the sun and moon), Ahbinagupta says... "In order that this sacrifice be successful, one must properly honor (the goddess) with fragment flowers which effortlessly allow for an entrance into the heart; ... The purer (or higher), the better, but it is something that becomes refined over time.

Sure, happy to discuss. Any specific questions?

It is possible to create a broader connection to the goddess Parvati (or also someone like the goddess Tara). Then instead of porn or focus on someone while masterbating, you focus that desire energy on the goddess Parvati instead. Make her the object of your desire, and as the connection broadens it will cause your heart to open more, which will raise the energy higher. It is sort of like one can create a purification loop, where you send lower level desire energy, she purifies it and sends it back at a higher level. Just let let me know if you want to try and I will help open the connection.

I have a technique that might help. With your Hindu learning, are you familiar with the goddess Parvati?
-
Yes, I am fine with the format and structure to explain the variable.
-
I would agree with OldDog.
-
I get the logic, but this is only describing a form as you are basically declaring one of the axis as an "imaginary realm".
-
You will find much debate on such a question here, and I think it sort of depends on what you see as your goal. In my opinion, your question fits very well with the old Zen quote of... First there is a mountain, then the mountain is gone, and then ultimately the mountain exists again... Your current approach is one of simply trying to make the mountain go away. While this can be effective at your current level of “clarity”, it is ultimately more challenging as it is kind of like trying to dig a hole (or quiet space in mind), but not actively working expand the horizontal space of the hole, which is what I meant by my earlier comment around expanding the polarities. In more classical Buddhism, you are at the point now where you would want to start more practices like deity yoga. In more Taoist terms, the next phase would be more about expanding the energy flow beyond your own body, which is hard to do without more “stretching” of your conscious mind so that it integrates more with the subconscious aspect.
-
You are starting to feel/notice energy. It is time to start expanding the polarities.
-
Sure. I would be interested.

To me, possession of the One, means residing as an aspect of the One. Residing as the One is a view or non-dualistic realization of the manifest aspects of the Dao. So it really means the same as the Flowing Hands version as coming from Oneness (view). Man is unique in that he is "self aware", and hence has a view that is not wholistically integrated (oneness). Or as SFH, hand says, when he is not humble, he applies his own specific egotistical view on how he believes things should be, and then things seem broken or out of sort. So the chapter in both versions at the end state to not get caught up in the separate parts (of the chariot).

Is non-duality actually a fundamental truth, or just another philosophy?Â
Jeff replied to Bindi's topic in General Discussion
Agreed, but I see it as important distinction as for some non-duality implies some concept of "universal oneness", for other it does not. -

In some traditions, non-duality instead simply means that there is no good or bad. Things just are, and all such judgements are subjective. -
Lucid Dreaming- Dream affirmations and meditations
Jeff replied to Immortal4life's topic in General Discussion
Hi Goldleaf, You are subconsciously energetically connecting to people and the world around you, and most likely that is spilling over into your mind which is probably creating your issues. It is sort of like you are recieving (or taking in) the flows, but not transmitting (releasing) them back out, which creates sort of an overload. In Taoist terms you are more yin, and need to balance with more yang. Best wishes, Jeff- 3 replies
