Thank you for the interesting thread. I would agree that the balancing of those two sides becomes critical for higher level spiritual development. To your point, from Tao Te Ching, chapter 28.. Know the strength of man, But keep a woman's care! Be the stream of the universe! Being the stream of the universe, Ever true and unswerving, Become as a little child once more. ... One needs both sides, before realizing the stream of the universe...

Effectively, but I guess it depends on your definition of real/unreal. Sort of like they are all perceptions of realitive "depth". The deeper you go, the more you can perceive and then it becomes real for you. There is also a quantum like shift where one goes from "perceiving" to "being" along the way. But, in the end, it is all inherently "empty".

To me, matter, mind, and consciousness are all of the same "stuff". Matter could be said to just be a more "dense" (or frozen) version.

It is also the case that those who view that they are viewing from from a subtler state, will find that there is always something subtler. That is the nature of holding such views. That is why it can helpful to let go of such notions of being right or knowing more. All views are relative.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but how do you know "that which you know" is not just as illusionary as what you just told Marblehead about walking into a tree? What proof can you offer?

It is possible for something to "exist" but not necessarily have a physical form. Just resaearch on how mass/matter pops out of nothing in a Higgs field (modern physics).

Sure. If you could clearly see at an atomic level, you would know that your body is really just a bunch of open space with some electrons moving around really fast. Also, that the table in front of you is just your mind translating the repulsive energy force into what your mind conceptualizes as a table. An alien mind would have different perceptions and maybe instead see you and the table as nothing but light blobs. But just because, your body is really just a light blob, doesn't mean that you "who animates" the light blob does not exist. That one better?

Energy stuck in the head, insanity, anger, going nuts
Jeff replied to grabmywrist4's topic in General Discussion
This issue is that you are sort of stuck in "receptive" mode at your heart. Kind of like not being able to share (or transmit). The issues related to it build up in your head and create the pressure and suffering. If you want to meet in the chatroom some time, I should be able to help take some of the edge off. It is actually a very common problem after someone starts to energetically open, especially when working with a guru. Just send me a pm if you ever want to discuss or try. Best, Jeff -
I would personally mostly agree with you. Was just trying to stay in the context of Dwai's original conceptual framework and videos.

The world could really be a giant video game like Dwai is implying, and your body just a character in that video game. But, there can still be a "you" that exists (just not a physical body you) that is playing the video game. Sort of like your spirit/soul got so caught up playing the video game that it forgot it's true nature.

Proving that you exist and proving that there is a physical world are two different things...

I notice that you did not at all explain how you prove that Marblehead does not exist. Also, I do not disagree that everything that I perceive is through my "mind". But, can you prove that your mind is not simply inside your physical body, and the physical body is in a physical world? Hence, when Marblehead kills your physical body, your mind and all such perception of consciousness completely shuts down. How can you prove that you are correct?

Marblehead can prove to all of us that he exists, by telling us all that he is going to kill you and doing it. He also never even needs to directly enter into your minds perception (consciousness) by killing you with a long range sniper bullet. You are gone, and gone from all of our minds perceptions. How can you prove that Marblehead does not exist? Or prove that there is no "world" in which he can kill you and cause your cessation?

At a micro level, the difference in our views can be simplified to sentient beings or not. You do not have any in your view, I do. At a macro level, you have an ultimate permanent Brahman thing that everything ceases into, I do not. Simple as that. But, the universe itself is like a virtual video game, on that we can probably get pretty close. Which is why I didn't get at all your world of matter concept being directed at me.

Makes sense. And I was not offended, but Dwai brought up the snarky way comment, so I thought I would ask. So then did you see the OP as sort of throwing down the gauntlet (with the video) to restart a past thread discussion?

So does that mean you wanted to discuss or debate your posted video? Also, given your above response regarding a "ruler immortal", you seem to have misunderstood what I was saying in the past about it. A ruler immortal sees through what your video would call "matter", but also knows the inherent emptiness of and so sees through what your video calls "consciousness", hence can change or upgrade it. Such changes are not made like in some concept of a ruler god, but more as the manifestation of the needs (of cause and effect) of the universe. In essence, a ruler immortal embodies that "upgrade" to help all sentient beings. As the end of Tao Te Ching 28 states... ... Being the valley of the universe, Ever true and resourceful, Return to the state of the uncarved block. When the block is carved, it becomes useful. When the sage uses it, he becomes the ruler. Thus, "A great tailor cuts little." The hopes and needs of the universe is what defines and carves the "block" so it can become useful. Not any personal desire.

If you didnt mean it in a snarky way, then what was your intent with the OP where you simply post a video and then call out two forum members with no explanation?

I think some of Cayce's stuff is pretty good, but with his astral explorations to me he misses what I consider to be one of the major points that Jesus describes in his teachings... Luke 17: 20-21 20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 21 nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” Heaven is not about some place or levels you go to, it is more about "being" all and nothing at the same time... Gospel of Thomas - 22 Jesus saw some babies nursing. He said to his disciples, "These nursing babies are like those who enter the (Father's) kingdom." They said to him, "Then shall we enter the (Father's) kingdom as babies?" Jesus said to them, "When you make the two into one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner, and the upper like the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then you will enter [the kingdom]."

Definitely a interesting "astral" trip...

As far as I know, the book of Revelations says nothing about seven heavens (or 14). There were seven different churches and angels associated with them in the Christian world at that time. Sure you are not thinking of Hinduism or maybe Dante's play?
-
So then are you saying that there are 7 levels of hell, and 14 levels of heaven? And your earlier comment was that it takes a being from the seventh heaven to fight/take on a demon from the lowest hell? And what do you mean by the end of the road? Thanks.
