Excellent point. Also, a true guru engages at the energy level that the person can handle and then helps them rise higher.
-
Very interesting and what you are describing is different dynamic. Was it with one specific person? Someone you knew?
-
I totally agree that it can be very messy. In such cases people often attach to other peoples stuff and get caught up in it themselves. But that often happens if one has similar issues of there own that resonate with it. It is definitely not a beginner level practice.
-
It is really about the intimacy (shared oneness) that allows the breaking down of the perceived individual sense of self. But, loving actual sex can be very helpful to shut down the mind and the barriers that come with thinking in practitioners that have not yet realized higher level stuff.

My experience with dual cultivation (or with guru supported cultivation) is completely different than what you have described. Additionally, even at lower physical levels, anyone who has actually "loved" the person they were having sex with can feel the energetic difference of the flow. There is a natural male-female energy purification loop that is created. This loop can be raised to higher levels which can purify the energy bodies of both parties. This is why the bible says that a woman shall "cleave to a man". In that two becoming one, both are raised higher. Additionally, this same basic dynamic relates to why people's minds become quiet or they have high energy flows in the presence of a true guru. They are effectively jointly cultivating, even though the student may not consciously realize the energy dynamic. Tantric practices are not really about sex at all, it is more about the joint (or shared) energy dynamic. Men and woman just establish sort of natural polarities and with "openness" the energy flows. All tantric and guru/master based traditions take advantage of this dynamic.

Because all "under heaven" see all of the duality explained in the chapter. Heaven is beyond (or sees through) duality. A sage is one who moves between heaven and earth.

Sorry, didn't mean or think I was attacking. Just thought you had an interesting point and it was worth discussing. I apologize for offending you.

Didn't mean it as a buddhist debate, only relative to Norbu and his views about energy and how one realizes greater levels of energy. Working from the other way round, it is possible to influence the external energy, carrying out what are called "miracles." Such activity is actually the result of having control of one's own energy, through which one obtains the capacity of power over external phenomena. Chogyal Namkhai Norbu. Thanks, I understand your point, but would disagree. The fact that one is trying to use it for "individual desires" inherently limits the potential of any such application of "internal energy". Additionally, combined with attempting to do something harmful shows that the practitioner is no where near "rigpa", and hence is just creating huge negative karma for themselves.
-
Sorry if I misunderstood your point. Norbu is very clear in his books on the concept the concept of applying energy for "miracles". But, such an approach to me would not work with the relative "personal desire" to harm another person or harm a large group like the witches are attempting to do. Do you see it differently? That Norbu's approach could be used to purposely harm others?
-
Norbu and Dowman teach spells to attack others? To somehow curse them against their will?

That theory assumes that all participants will respond at an equal rate to the polling. In the Trump example, in many areas it was seen a politically incorrect to admit voting for him, hence large sections of the populace did not participate in polls. This leaves a misguided view of the sample set.

No, not at all. More like a yin-yang energy imbalance.

You basically pushed yourself over into the "female energy body side" before you were naturally ready for such things, and it created a state of hyper receptivity before your heart was open enough for you to be able to sense such things. Kind of like you are hyper sensitive, but there is nothing yet to feel or sense, hence everything seems kind of dead to you. Send me a pm if you would like to try some stuff that might help. Best, Jeff

What is the missing component?

She definitely has some strong views stating that there is no such thing as an authentic tradition.. "The key message for Selling Yoga’s readers is that yoga has been perpetually context-sensitive, so there is no “legitimate,” “authentic,” “orthodox,” or “original” tradition, only contextualized ideas and practices organized around the term yoga. In other words, the innovations unique to pop culture yoga do not de-authenticate them simply because they represent products of consumer culture. "

I am also not aware of any teacher stating that one needs empowerment or transmission to gain buddhahood. But, I am aware of many teachers stating that one needs empowerment or transmission to do (or use) certain practices. As an example... "It is imperative that we receive not only the proper empowerments for a practice we wish to engage in, but also a transmission. It is said in the Secret Teachings that one who has not received a transmission of a Tantric text or practice is not even allowed to read it, and that even if they do, they will not be able to receive the benefits and good qualities that would otherwise arise from it. Followers of Vajrayana Buddhism believe that the blessings of the Teachings cannot be transmitted fully without the bestowing of both an empowerment and a transmission, so to attempt to practice or study a Tantra without them could ripen into a serious obstacle." - The Union of Dzogchen and Bodchitta by Anyen Rinpoche
-
You don't think it could be two separate issues? Some possibly taking advantage, but also that some techniques requiring direct transmission (not just something you can read in a book)?

I am not trying to say that any tradition is better than any other tradition. I am simply saying that the "tools available" shift and have continued to shift. The methods (and realization) in the Old Testament are not the same as with the coming of Jesus. Similarly, the tools and technology of Tibetan Buddhism are not the same as Theravada Buddhism. Also, it doesn't matter how good you are at walking from place to place if you are trying to cross an ocean. But, a plane can fly you to the other side easily.

The potential for Buddha as been around since there have been sentient beings. The challenge is such realization. It is the method (or relative potential) that shifts with turnings.

I think a big part of the confusion is that people are taking a verse (or sometimes only half of verse) and removing it from broader context of the teaching/passage. I would suggest that anyone who is interested in the teachings of Jesus actually read the gospels. You will find that in many cases what Jesus actually says is dramatically different than what many institutions teach. In the particular section of this statement, Jesus is starting to talk about his ascension and leaving the physical plane of existence. Looking at his words in context, he states.... “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” â€â€John‬ â€14:6-21‬ â€KJV‬‬ Doing this on an iPad so hard to highlight, but as you can see in context that when Jesus talks about himself as the Son of God, he means... "The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works". Additionally, all of us have this same potential, but for most it remains unrealized as you can see in Jesus's words a few sentences later... "Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you". In the teaching of Jesus, we are all "one in Christ" and we all need to go "through" that same shared Christ (manifest Father aspect) in ourselves to realize the father. The concept is very similar to everyone having the same inherent "buddhanature", but in the teachings of Jesus it is kind of like a "shared space" of the primordial "Adam" (or all sentient beings). Jesus with the Christ realization becomes like manifest "form" of this potential in all of us. Like becoming the conduit or network. Like a "super guru" that is easily accessible. As he says... “At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” â€â€Matthew‬ â€11:25-30‬ â€KJV‬‬

Jesus is a very complex and infinitely layered being, but definitely not megalomaniacal. He is also completely consistent, one just needs to realize what it means to be a "one with the Father".
-
Not sure I quite understand your point. Could you give me an example which highlights this difference?

The stage that you call becoming gender complete is described in the GOT here... 61. Jesus said, "Two will recline on a couch; one will die, one will live." Salome said, "Who are you mister? You have climbed onto my couch and eaten from my table as if you are from someone." Jesus said to her, "I am the one who comes from what is whole. I was granted from the things of my Father." "I am your disciple." "For this reason I say, if one is whole, one will be filled with light, but if one is divided, one will be filled with darkness." The two sides become one and then one becomes "filled with light" or forms the light body (the one that lives). But, as Jesus states... 24. His disciples said, "Show us the place where you are, for we must seek it." He said to them, "Anyone here with two ears had better listen! There is light within a person of light, and it shines on the whole world. If it does not shine, it is dark." There is a "deeper" or inner light that "shines on the whole world". This is describing the shift of integrating/being all. Or you could say that becoming gender complete leads to the realization of the soul, but on must continue on to become a son of God/one with Christ. The Tao Te Ching Chapter 28 describes the actual steps/stages well and in a much more orderly progression... Know the strength of man, But keep a woman's care! < Becoming gender complete> Be the stream of the universe! Being the stream of the universe, <Light inside that shines on the whole world> Ever true and unswerving, Become as a little child once more. < Now gender complete, soul realization, light body> Know the white, But keep the black! < relearning differentiation, inside and outside same from GOT 22> Be an example to the world! Being an example to the world, Ever true and unwavering, Return to the infinite. Know honor, Yet keep humility. Be the valley of the universe! <Accept and let go of everything at all layers of form and formlessness> Being the valley of the universe, Ever true and resourceful, Return to the state of the uncarved block. <Sacrifice all for sentient beings> When the block is carved, it becomes useful. <Let the needs of the universe-cause and effect, define the form> When the sage uses it, he becomes the ruler. <christhood> Thus, "A great tailor cuts little."
