Weeeeell, I don't know either way about the cultural revolution statements and all that, and I don't doubt it either. It would seem that if the QiGong worked, it would be in the best interest of the chinese government to promote it. But, I guess thats probably an American point of view, since I don't *think* they have wellfare in China. Like I said, I don't know. But, I do know that the table of contents in that link looked interesting. :-) I also have the first edition book on Medical QiGong by JAJ, its awesome. Makes me want to buy the five volume set for the expended info.

Original post written as if some sort of authority; fallacy is written all over it. You been drinkin Haterade, brah? As for the subject, there are some methods of meditation that have you cross your eyes looking downward. The nerves which control eye movement are cranial nerves, which link with deeper brain centers (cant remember which ones) but anyhow, these centers are involved in/responsible for a lot of major things in the body, I think some hormonal, among other stuff.. anyhow, the trigeminal nerve (5th cranial I think) when damaged, causes the eyes to rotate upward and outward. So, when you quiet the mind, cross the eyes looking down, and breath from your belly, you are 'stimulating' the 1st, 2nd, 5th and 10th cranial nerves, IIRC.. Interesting coincidence.synchronicity. My all caps rant was not directed at/toward you. It was specifically aimed at the persons who have come on here pick a fight with ShaktiMama, who then responded likewise in defense/attack/what have you, and so the back and forth goes for a while, then Santi comes on here and defends what was being said about him, he makes his own claims, ...its all in this thread. I was trying to point out that this thread is about (as per the title) Jerry Alan Johnson books, and therefore any posts that are made should sensibly be about Master Jerry Johnson, not anything unrelated to that. As for me saying to 'post what you have to say and GTFO', what I mean by that is that if Sensaikarma and sykkelpump cant get along with Santi and ShaktiMama, then all four should stick to the point (of this thread) and please, please, please share what they have to say about JAJ, his books, experinces/stories about him, etc. ---- And NOT get sidetracked by how much of an idiot/liar/wimp/con artist/etc.. they think the other person is. I mean, in the world I live in, I have to get along professionally with people that I basically wouldn't pee on if they were burning to death. ShaktiMama- I know nothing about Dr. Johnson's Medical QiGong. I am going to buy some of his books, but I don't think I will be able to afford top study with him soon. Is any of the medical QiGong in the books something I could (after learning how) do to help patients without them knowing? Or would it require that I make gestures or whatever-that would draw attention and require me to explain? Do you know of anyplace that I could research the legality of an RN (me) performing medical QiGong? I wonder if I could show patients without having to get a degree in it. Of course I would LOVE to get some certification in it, but... I hope my questions make some sense. It is early, the sun is still asleep, and my brain is mush. I have to go to the school's skills lab (an hour away ) and practice Tracheostomy Care.
