  1. Thanks! Problem that may arise is, She's a Registered Licensed Dietitian, and a stickler about fats-and everything else food wise.
  2. lol. Witch, I wanna look your book up (sneak my wife the diet, and maybe the old pork sword) and I'd like to see that video of you on the Katie Morgan show-could you please tell me your name? Or pm it to me at least?
  3. This video best describes my reaction to this thread and all the super powered women :-)
  4. A proposal for us lazy bums.

Okay guys, I have a serious proposal for all. Lots of people get on here and attack various energy practices. Thats all fine and dandy, and we all have our right to our own opinion. As some may have read, I have been pretty supportive of KAP and Santiago in many posts. Some people have -in the KAP thread- said that they took KAP and it was a joke, etc. I have'nt been here long enough to know the details, but some have been critical of Kunlun. The same could probably be said for most practices. I am asking everyone to please voluntarily participate in this standard I'm proposing; If you have done ANY energy practice and you comment on it or give a critique of it, would you PLEASE mention-with all the other stuff-- How much time you spent practicing it-being as precise as possible example-how many hours per day, days per week, how many weeks/months/years, etc, I think this would be very helpful. So often people argue here, and thats healthy. But there are lots of new people who want to make progress, and without knowing how much effort someone put into their cultivation, its REALLY hard to consider it for yourself. If I practiced something 3 hours a day, 365 days a year and all I say is 'I love this system/practice/method, it works so great', I'm leaving out how much work I put into it. If all I say is, 'I did it, it sucks' and I only practiced 30 minutes, twice a week for 4 months, I would be leaving out that I didn't put in a lot of effort. This will help to sort things out and also give people who haven't done it a better idea of what to expect and how much work it takes to be successful. Thanks

Seriously? Did no one read this, or is it that no one wants to be honest and forthcoming?

lino-- "In any other profession, if you "fix" (or maybe not "fix") a problem and break the rest of the house, what happens?" I agree man, western medicine, in the US at least, sometimes fucks people up. I have seen it first hand-patients who developed Stevens-Johnson's sydrome as a reaction to taking Dilantin (an anti-seizure med)-and died a slow, horrible, agonizing death. And this after they had been taking it for years-then suddenly their body has a reaction to it for an unknown reason, and the next thing you know, they are having horrible reactions, which in a short time cause their extremeties to rot as if frostbitten, and worse things I don't want to type out, then they die-in the prime of their life. But without that drug, many people would have no quality of life. I have a friend that is on Depakote because he has seizures-which can be lethal-and after being on anti seizure meds for years, he cant afford his prescription and goes without it for a week-or medical insurance-and he has a seizure in the parking lot at work. He could die from any seizure he might have. Sometimes people get a viral flu, and a few weeks later develop Guillanne-Barre-which is not fully understood-and can be fatal-causes paralysis that starts in the lower extremeties and moves up the body, often paralyzing their diaphragm. It usually goes away, but without ventilators, people would have no chance. Parkinsons-not fully understood why it develops. Multiple sclerosis-not fully understood why it develops. But without 'western' medical treatments, there would be little of not treatment for a lot of stuff. So like I said, shit happens. The public looks to medical professionals to cure people-very often without understanding what that really means. And also, for every one person that is screwed up by side effects of or western medicine or unintentional mistakes, you can bet that there are at least 10 who do everything you could imagine to destroy their body-and expect a miracle when the cumulative effects of their years and years of bad lifestyle catch up with them. To relate to your analogy, it is sometimes like asking someone to repair an interior wall-but the foundation and floor have been built wrong for some reason-or are rotten from the leaky roof that should have been worked on 30 years ago----then the repair man falls through the floor, making a huge hole-and the owner of the house thinks its the repair mans fault. So he sues the repair person, or company.

Most of you guys (judging by the stuff many have posted) are so grossly misinformed about medicine that I don't know where to begin. It is a multifaceted issue. Not a conspiracy. There is some corruption. There are aspects which are in opposition to each others benefit. Vaccines are vastly more beneficial than harmful. Shit happens, people die, hospitals aren't magical and not everyone can be fixed. Its part of life, as is dying. Back to topic, please. If you don't like KAP, and have critical comments: Have you done it? How much time per day/week/month did/do you practice? Do you do anything to maintain your physical health?

Glad you enjoyed that :-) Thanks for the compliment.

as for this; "I saw how an anthrax shot screwed up a friend and he was fortunate that it temporary." I don't know your friends story, but I feel confident in saying that often times, it is the vast variations in the human genome that are the cause of problems with vaccines and allergic reactions. For example, penicillin has saved millions of lives world wide. Before the discovery of penicillin, people died from things that we can hardly imagine being fatal today. However, there are some people who will have an allergic reaction to it. So it goes with many other life saving treatments. The same could be said for Tetanus. There is no one size fits all, end all, be all, cure all-AT ALL. To relate back to this thread, there is no such thing as a free lunch-everything has a cost.

This conversation about western medicine is really not relevant to this thread. That said, western medicine is like toilet paper-not that useful until you are in a field of poison ivy :-) lino-- From what I read in your last couple posts, you come across as being ignorant of many of the varied factors which contribute to the high costs of western medicine. That's not an attack on you, I just mean to say that from reading those posts, I get the feeling that you are uninformed and/or have a narrow perspective and narrow awareness of the situation. Also, what or where do you suggest better medical care can be found (not considering cost) ? I mean by that, where could you go for better care that does not use any western medicine. I don't know of anyplace on this planet that fits that description.
  11. My Kundalini experience

Can't be. Kundalini goes UP the spine. If this 'energy' went UP Biff's spine, he'd have shit for brains. And-notice-he didn't mention full lotus a single time. Although, I think I now understand another phenomenon that someone has been posting about... I think he was doing the Microcosmic orbit in reverse--I've read it is good for removing blockages. Case in point, 'blockage' removed. Or was it a pathogenic wind he expelled? Talk about 'releasing the exterior'.

I'd just like to take this opportunity to say that I surf here because the waves are good, I sometimes learn new tricks, I like the overall vibe and I find this place relaxing. If I've offended you-whoever you may be-please don't take it too seriously, or personally. This place is basically where I come to decompress, and I like coming here. I don't mean to start any wars, and I don't claim to be anyone special. I like to play, and I enjoy all the engaging posts/threads I read here. Thanks for the stimulating discussions!

    HOLY SHIT that was funny!

Wait, (TheSongsofDistantEarth) are you saying that only medical doctors should add "Dr." to their names? "She still shouldn't be throwing around the 'Doctor' thing with a "D.D." from some school. It's low-level. She may be great, but it makes her look like a wanna be. My opinion." Have you ever gone to a College or University?
  16. KAP

Yikes. Thats kind of creepy. I'm sure it may lead to lots of good stuff, but I would prefer that the ability to do stuff like that to my brain could not be purchased.
  17. KAP

Lol. Santi, you can send me all the Shakti you think I can safely handle if nobody else wants it.
  18. KAP

Drew--I don't know which line is funnier! You crack me up man!! I think you should write a book of quotes. I'm gonna use these as sig quotes. Have you considered stand up comedy? Of hell, full lotus comedy? Eventually he left but the thug scene can be dangerous in McDonalds as well. Most annoying are the white trash perv dudes who talk loudly because their voice is their generative force energy -- so their trying to suck everyone off in the restaurant! Full-lotus reverses that. I remember one time this perv went up against my full-lotus in another McDonalds -- even more ghetto.
  19. KAP

Drew-I do enjoy all the cool scientific insight/ideas you bring to this forum.

Oh, come on Prince, don't hold back--tell us, which ones are you talking about? And why? Please explain yourself.

Drew, how can you miss the message behind Blind Owl's post? Lmao... Briliance, pure brilliance....I AM lovin it.

"But to expect someone to devote countless hours to you to teach you energetic techniques that took them years and thousands of hours to master is the height of narcissism." Words of wisdom!!! Drew--too long, didn't read. Also, I tend to tune things out at this point when they contain the words/phrases: vagus nerve, full lotus, electrochemical energy, 'O at a D", etc...sorry dude.
  23. KAP

markern-- I love the way you put that. As I pointed out once before, there are many video series out there that teach maybe 3 practices--and still cost more than KAP. So in that sense, its a bargain just for the info. I don't understand where people are getting this idea that spiritual teaching should be free. Teaching takes time, and food isn't free, nor rent, car payments, etc. The day someone finds a master that can fly from point A to point B, is in a state of Bigu and therefore needs no food, and has no family to feed, house to pay for, etc....and will travel the world to teach for free..well, if that ever happens, I hope to hear about it. But I doubt anyone will be traveling to Dagobah and learning from Master Yoda.

Hey, I understand. I did read your post, and my all caps comment was directed toward "That guy" and to a lesser extent 'John Zen'. I'm not angry about it, its just that I see posts where people are critical in every way about KAP and Santi, and it nearly always amounts to something along the lines of: "how can he charge money, it must be fake because its not free, He must be a fake because he hasn't made a video of himself doing _________ thing and put it on youtube, etc" And KAPreview, I realize that you have done KAP and spoken critically of it (in part), but you are the only person I have yet to see do so. Maybe there are more-probably so. But I have read countless posts by people who've done KAP and loved it, and said it was more than worth the fee. I could say the same about all the tangible/noticeable and even profound effects KAP practitioners experience. I appreciate that you shared your honest experience with KAP and Santi with us. I don't feel that you were posting it just to trash talk Santi. Heck man, I dont even know the guy. Looking at it from the outside though, your less than awesome experience with KAP is just one against many positive ones I've seen, and I don't think that is enough reason for other people to jump on here and start talking trash about it. I dont think I've ever read a thread about someone who thought Chunyi Lin's Spring Forest Qigong was a rip off, or a thread suggesting Wang Liping is a fraud or fake, yet I've seen several threads on here taking a stab at KAP and/or Santi. I hardly think one or two peoples negative or mediocre experiences outweigh so many positives. Haven't a lot of people claimed to have gotten screwed up from Kunlun? I just wanted to jump up and say something, as your honest analytical post/thread inadvertently attracts people wanting to criticize KAP without good reason.

FWIW, I have not done KAP, was going to but put it off, still plan to when I get the $. I think it sounds like a great deal. I cant afford the time/$ to travel right now, but I can tune in online every week. Beyond that, my practice time is somewhat erratic. I've done standing meditation-from rudimentary in person instruction and email advice-for a few years. As a beginner, I doubt I could find such a wide variety of practices for the same price. There are many video series out there that teach only 1 or 2 practices and cost a lot more than KAP. There are A LOT of people on here making lots of progress with KAP-lots more that I have read of any other available practice. I have read of only 1 negative experience by a KAPer, and I read post after post where He would say how bad he felt, then turn around and refuse the advice he was given-by his teacher-in order to correct it. Chun Yi Lin does phone healings--does he charge? "That guy"--As for 'a spiritually developed being' not teaching someone for free, how would you know? Are you one? If you are, why don't you teach zazaza for free? If you aren't spiritually developed, what makes you presume to know how a spiritually developed being should conduct themself? Why/how should anyone teach totally for free? I dont think its been that way historically-didn't the student bring the master food, and stuff? Well food is not free in this society. Also, Santi does not have to prove anything to anyone-he teaches people KAP and they pay him for his services-which all of his students (that I have read) say are ample. If you want proof of his ability, look at the success and rave reviews he gets from his students. A lot of people do and love KAP, they must be happy with what they do. Whats more, there have been several FREE public sessions of Shaktipat/Healing offered by Santi and Susan. I've managerd to tune in for two, they were great, I got good results-I tuned in and they guided us through meditation, I've learned a few new things, and whats more, I got more powerful sensations and results than I ever have meditation alone. Does Chinyi Lin or any other teacher do anything like this free to the public? I have spondylolisthesis in my lower back, I did the guided meditation and focused the energy to my back the other night-I could actually feel energy moving, and more than I can do solo-and my back stopped hurting that night, and hasn't since then. Donations are accepted (not required) for these sessions, part of which goes to reputable charities that will benefit children. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM THE GUY???? Santi and KAP and the KAP teachers don't need me to defend them-it just rubs me when I see one of these threads questioning KAP and challenging Santi every few weeks. If you think Santi or any KAP teachers don't have anything, you're probably going to have to do more than talk about them on an internet forum to find them out. Show up or sign up and see for yourself! But be aware that they all claim that you have to be prepared to put in the time and work.
