Well, then i am limited to asking how much fat youtake in. I know of 2 people with active kundalini that would have to add butter to their coffee and find themselves eating large servings of rich fats. Maybe that will help? That's the last tool in my tool box, as I don't have open K myself, just reiterating what has helped others:-)

When you work out, do you do squats? lift heavy free weights? eat plenty of meat and take in plenty of healthy fats? these things could help you to 'ground', probably in a way that will be more effective than 'mentally directing energy' downward at this point. Maybe you can help rebalance by changing workout and diet. I hear that eating pleny of (mostly animal based) protein, getting plenty of fat in your diet has helped a lot of people with Kundalini to stay grounded. And of course squats will by necessity draw energy to your legs/lower body. Hope that helps.

Hello TTBums, do any of you have any of these books by Jerry Alan Johnson? Specifically the Qi Gong books/series, and the books in the second link. http://www.qigongmedicine.com/catalog.php http://www.daoistmagic.com/info.php?i=2191 I would very much appreciate it if anyone has ANY input, via post or PM about Jerry Alan Johnson and these books he wrote. I have his books, 'The Essence of Internal Martial Arts', volumes 1 and 2. I really like them, and I'd like to know what people think about these other books, and the man in general. Any thoughts, experiences, etc..regardless of whether it be about him, Mao Shan, whatever. I tried searching the archives for an old thread about him, but couldn't find it. any input appreciated. Thanks-- Nate-

Beginner's [REAL] Magick: Instruction Q&A
everseeking replied to Disabled Not Broken's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
Exactly. Better for the ones who decide to withhold. Im untrained in Western practices, but from the little I've read about the LHP side, one big component of, for example the 'Satanism' side's discontent with Christian religion in general is that it enslaves people with guilt and does not empower the individual. Most practices discussed TTB are empowering. As we ( some of us) seem to be "seeking the truth", should we not be prepared to handle it, regardless of the pain or pleasure it may bring us? Equality of knowledge is freedom, and being held in a state of ignorance is tyranny, IMO.- 202 replies

DNB said: "It's Nature's Way of Culling..." Yeah, but...not all of us will be culled. Those who have inherently known that this something was coming their whole lives will see and recognize. Right? DNB also said: "Once enlightened, the avatar finds that by sharing this knowledge- he/she is often labeled 'a satan'."- 202 replies

-Certain, My Breathing Ceases
everseeking replied to Disabled Not Broken's topic in General Discussion
DnB-- I love your posts! I haven't posted here in a long time, I pissed some people off I think, because I started getting visitors checking me out at night. I've been lurking here for several years though. As for the breathing, I have experienced the very beginning of ceasing the breath. I only mention it because for me it is a natural phenomenon; I have done very little ' mediation', but can easily extend my breath to one per minute. I read once in a book by B.K. Frantzis that there were great health benefits from this- I have to wonder though, what this means that I can do it so easily. I've tested my ability to alter my heart rate, and can naturally alter it by about 10 bpm or more, up or down. Thus being without the valsalva. I just ' drop' or 'raise' inside, I dont really know words for it. When Im alone in a quiet place, I've been able to stop my breath briefly, the 'thought' that "people have to breath" caused me to take a breath, though I felt no urgency what so ever. It reminds me of a documentary about sun gazing, 'Eat The Sun' I think, and the loss of appetite and supposed lack of need for food. I suppose I have my mother to thank for any of this natural ability Ive held onto, she's always supported me. We used to play the number game, I got pretty good at guessing the right number. Anyway, I'd be curious to see what your blood oxygen and end tidal CO2 are when you are in that state. But I wouldn't worry, some of us are just where we are with this stuff, 'science' be damned! Thanks for reading:-) -
Ralis- I looked at Thom Hartman 's site, and he seems clearly pro Democrat, anti Republican. IMO, the Democrat / Republican divide is crap, it all comes down to personal liberty to me. As crazy as Alex Jones can seem, he seems to be conservative if anything. And his site (though biased in its own way) reports on things that are hard to find information about elsewhere. Cool find though. How long has Mr. Hartman's site been around? Mainstream media is all riddled with (political) agenda. Just my opinion :-)
-
I go to infowars!! At first I kinda thought Alex Jones was just using scare tactics, but I am starting to really like the things they report on. I am totally 10000% behind Ron Paul.

Bumping this thread because it is so awesome. Ahh, the road less traveled.

How to determine someone's level of enlightenment?
everseeking replied to goldisheavy's topic in General Discussion
What about this point of view; Enlightenment is attained whenever one realizes (truly) and stops denying their mortality, while also realizing and no longer denying the power that the opportunity of life is-the vast possibilities, from existence to world change. Not just of ones own life, but of all life. All of this, while being uninhibited by the gravity of such realization. It is an understanding, and an awareness, which once made fully, does not leave the consciousness yet is no longer present in thought. I have never read anything along these lines, particularly the relation to accepting ones mortality. But I haven't been reading much lately:-) As for how one could 'tell' if someone is enlightened, I think GIH has really put a lot into this. But my mind goes back to 'The Unfettered Mind', by Takuan Soho as translated by Cleary-something about the flower and the subtle smile. Enjoy today. N- -
Lol look I'm sorry guys and gals, I'm not saying its easy. I'm saying I think it could be done in much less than 60 years. To go back to the Kung Fu example, You will get a lot better at Kung Fu if- in addition to learning it, you test it ( fighting ), teach it, and train it. If, after gaining some good instruction in Kung Fu, You actually fight with it, you'll get a hell of a lot better (assuming you survive ) than if all You do is take lessons and practice. So, I'm thinking that if You want to access these Akashic records in a useful time frame, you might consider ; Seeking out someone with the most experience you can find. Find some sort of daily practice(s) for this goal. Consider sources (of knowledge ) most would avoid- communication with the disembodied- human or otherwise-for example. Practices that most might find extreme, such as sensory deprivation, seclusion, sacrifice, etc. So again, like in the Kung Fu example with fighting, risk big to gain big. I could be totally wrong. Good luck!!!
-
I feel that if it takes 60 years to do something, (most anything ) then its being pursued poorly. Think about it - If a person had to work for 60 years to achieve some feat, many of those years were probably spent making mistakes and learning from them. Who would work (daily I presume? ) for 60 years with no result? What use would that be? My guess (this is all just my guess) is that if it took anyone 60 years to achieve something, than their achievement was a byproduct ( unexpected /unintentional) of some other pursuit. Therefore I suggest that results could be had faster with appropriate techniques. You might find someone who has done this already, or look for proven methods. Good luck :-)

FWIW, I'm currently in KAP 1 with Tao, and it has been awesome so far. I'd say you get much more than you pay for, IMO. Definitely more than just a 'starting point'. :-)
-
Would just like to say, FWIW I don't get my info about the Vatican 's library, or the history of the Catholic church from TV or movies or fiction books. I get ( got) it from history books. And history classes at a university. :-) I really feel its very important to know our (vast human) history, which is much deeper than even the publicly available historical records. For example, the water erosion seen on Sphynx in Egypt, which is impossible according to the accepted timelines. We have been here probably much longer than we think, IMO. And I agree with Vaj, they want to hide the truth ( in general about history ) to control. N~
-
Perhaps if somehow the secret/ private library that the Vatican keeps were to be made accessible to the world, Vaj's notion ( - and everyone else's in this thread- ) of who does or does not historically have a codified system for reaching enlightenment might be turned on end;-) I don't mean to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but doesn't it seem unjust that they have a huge repository of cultural relics going back to who knows when and its closed off from the public? Who knows what teachings are hidden within there. I read that there are huge amounts of Mayan artifacts and who knows, maybe more written history. Maybe the Dresden codex wasn't all that survived. Anyone else ticked off by this secrecy? I wish someone would demand the library be opened. Just some food for thought, since this thread seems to be revolving around what we are * aware of* historically.

:-) This is me loving the KAP 1 class I'm in- that I finally got around to taking, and my sweet RN job. Thanks for all the free global Shaktipat sessions Suzanne!!! (And Santi!!)

Thanks to all for sharing ;-) One thing that resonates with me-When I was quite young-maybe 8 or 9-I was playing with 2 girls I knew in their back yard. I had a crush on their sister. (I'm a guy). I remember this peculiar, gleeful, joyous feeling washing over me as I saw a very visible (to me only) golden amber light shine down-sort of within me-from just above my head, going down. It only lasted a moment or two. I cant really put into good words how it made me feel/how I felt about it. Years later, I remember reading about a figure in Hindu mythology or history-Krishna maybe-and something about him dancing with some girls and something similar. When I read that, it reminded me of the time I felt that light. I don't know what to make of my experience, but I have had a few powerful experiences, and for me, What's important is that they were mine, as much as anything can be. I really enjoyed that vid. Thanks again.

I am bumping this thread because of its relevance to my life. I'm at a crossroads of sorts, I'm approaching 30, married, no kids, but the wife wants them. I'm just really not sure that I want them with her. I think she'll make a great mother all in all, but She is definitely not 'awake' or 'aware' of things in the context of this thread. What might it be like having kids with someone who is more apt to want to appease social demands? I'm not entirely sure I want to have children with her- I feel like I will just be sucked further into the herd. I really do feel largely alone, in the sense that I have been having a lot harder of a time lately with things like commercials (I just can't stand having them on, radio or tv), reality shows, and for crying out loud--FOOTBALL and nearly all professional sports. (To me) Its she same crap, year in and year out, just endlessly repeating itself, yet people actually get really 'fired up' about their team winning or losing. Games-I remember reading some books by Eric Burne, about 'the games we play' or something. I am having a hard time with the 'games' lately. Is there a place (preferably in the USA) where people think more for themselves? Oregon, maybe? The modern life is outdated.
-
I seem to be growing more perceptive of reality, specifically of how many of the current social norms are so wrong. People-particularly those who are wrapped up in technology and material stuff-seem childish, or less evolved. Blinded. Like sheep? Fake, plastic people. Of course, Im typing this from a computer... but I really do feel like shunning the rat race. More and more, I wonder why people regularly treat each other so badly. Modern medical technology-- I work in a hospital. between the massive amount of electricity which courses through most ICU's, and the dehumanization that often takes place when people become patients, (almost property), I find it absurd that we expect people to heal in these environments and conditions. I personally can hear whenever most electrical appliances (monitors, tv's, etc) are plugged in, even if thy aren't on-in a room. Always could. Same with neon lighting. Whenever I am in rooms/hallways with exceptional levels of electrical equipment, I find it literally, physically and mentally disorienting. I can feel that all that electricity affects the air, and makes it feel dead and empty. So basically, I just don't know why more people aren't aware of this. I guess growing up immersed in bullshit really dulls ones senses. But I am aware of it. and I don't want to jump on the apocalypse band wagon, but I feel like we are running out of time really fast. There are gonna be major changes soon-definitely within the next decade. I have felt this quite strongly for as long as I can remember, that I would see huge changes, maybe upheavals, in my lifetime. Im 28 years old, and I honestly remember thinking this since like, age 5 or 6. I really do feel like Im in a see of sheep, or blind people. I mean I'm no leader, but I SEE whats going on, and hardly anyone else does. Except some of you guys and gals:-) Upside; Potential freedoms gained with modern technology, especially advances in particle physics and nano technology.

Well, I am surprised to see this thread again. And glad, I suppose. I have a few points here. Firstly, you often hear that circumcision is not painful for the infant, that the infant does not process pain fully at the typical age, and so forth. Well, its bullshit. I have witnesses several circumcisions, and the infant ALWAYS screams and cries. Loudly. I actually witnessed one doctor say this right before the procedure, then I listened and gritted my teeth as the baby screamed. The American College of Pediatrics does not recommend infant circumcision. check out this abstract- http://aappolicy.aappublications.org/cgi/content/full/pediatrics;103/3/686 Okay, so then. You have the 'religious' argument. from the previously cited post, we have: 11) And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you. Now then, for heaven's sake why, for God's sake, why. why on earth, WHY IN HELL would any God create humans ( 'in His image' ) WITH foreskins, and demand that they be cut off? Does that make any sense at all? Is this the action of a loving creator? Is this circumcision 'natural'? God does not want your baby's foreskin. Yes, some male children will develop problems with their foreskins, but cutting EVERY male child's foreskin off is not the answer. We don't do any other surgical procedure on everyone, regardless of need! As for the social/cultural side, let the individual decide, when they are old enough to make the decision for themselves. I mean, think about it-circumcision is cutting off part of a babies genitals. The foreskin is there for a reason. To protect the penis. Please check out this site, they have both products and LOTS of information. http://tlctugger.com/ And please, be TaoBums, not sheep. Peace

Yes--one very common sign of high blood sugar is excessive thirst. You should have your blood sugar checked! Better safe than sorry. Please get checked out friend! Also, if you feel like an herb/supplement might be causing you problems, stop taking it. Don't just go by what most people have to say about it-we are all different, and some herbs just don't work well for some people. Peace
-
This seems to be only aesthetic... I don't see restoration as a way to have the super sensitive nature of an uncircumcised penis. Mostly it is just apearance. You will regain the ability of the skin to move like natural foreskin during sex. Also, the glans will regain a lot of sensitivity, as well as the mucous membrane function. But, the nerve fibers that were in the skin that was cutt off will not grow back. Peace
-
I think I may be misunderstanding you here, and it's not deliberate. You mean I need to attach something to my ass that drags my butt skin over my johnson(to use the technical terms)??? No, I meant that as -a miniature of yourself, or rather, you wiener. Basically, you stretch the existing skin-through various means, but generally with tape at first-until you have enough foreskin to cover the glans, then you are done. Im really tires right now, or I'd try and explain better. There's another thing I find most curious, and that's why so many Americans and Canadians are circumcised? Who's telling all these mothers to get their kids chopped? Mostly, the parents and in laws of the mother. Why? Most people I have talked to have some vague, innacurate notion that its 'part of their religion'-that being, Christionity in some form. so, I guess they have no difficulty believing that their god created them with skin on their penis, that He wants them to cut off???? Also, I hear the cheesy line about how 'we want it to look like his dads'.....As if any guy on earth gives a shit about how his fathers penis looks!!!!!! I hear many, many stupid reasons for it, NONE of which are usually backed by any sound logic. Sheep, following the norm. People sometimes say 'for hygeine', because the callous that forms once the glans dries out is less likely to harbor bacteria, since it is a mucous membrane that has then dried out. I have strong feelings about this ;-) Where I live, being against circumcision (and not liking football and/or nascar) will practically get you burnt at the stake. Its like I'm on crazy pills!!! So, 'NMT,NMT', How is female circumcision looked upon in Europe? I understand there are more and more 'traditional' Muslim families that are opting to have it done. Of course, most other places in the world call it FGM, female genital mutilation. ;-?
