nah, it's just tracing with a stick in a dirt driveway. i once used the hose to jet into the dirt and leave a longer lasting taijitu... but they all fade over time. i usually made them about 5-8 feet in diameter, but sometiems i'd use the fibbonacci sequence and try to make "8 lines in" in the yin field and 5 lines to the "spiral galaxy" shaped yin eye. ACTUALLY. tell ya what, i'll edit this and post a MS Paint example LOL Edit:

sounds beautiful.... i used to draw a taijitu with one single unbroken "line", wrapping from the top to the bottom and "spiraling" to fill in the "yin" black. only 5 broken strands with lines in the sand, forming a "spiral galaxy" yin eye within the untouched sands of the yang field. Sacred Geometry would be MUCH more interesting, time consuming, elaborate, and... amazing...

Do not bother trying to divide or dissect the infinite. The mind is the one thing we all share, but it is rediculous to worry about the "we all" factor. focus instead not so much on the "share", but the "one".

the mind is infinitely split to categorical associatiosn of each "part" of the mind is redundant. rediculously redundant. HOWEVER, that being said, there are two main components which the human brain acts as a tranciever: Logic and Intuition. The logic split could be said to be only partial logic, since the controlling aspect is not an automiatically present force that the body can utilize, only the calculating capabilities, CALCULATING, not CALCULATOR. in that sence, the calculator logic is the laws of physics, while the calculating logic is the ability to understand and exemplify mathematical equasions. All the same, the logic is the "seeing" while the intuitive is the "feeling" which has the same capabilities as logic, but from an opposing source. Logic calculator and intuition creator. Intuition experiencer, and logic calculating. Logic without intuition creates an infinite flat plane. Intuition without logic calculates +/-0-infinity without form. Logical calculating leads to linear thinking, cause and effect. infinite useless accomplishments. Intuitive feeling leads to infinite circular loop thoughts... infinite idealogical thoughts, and never accomplish anything valid. While these segmented "mind" categories are all ONE mind in the "end", in order to create the illusion of "non-mind" existence, the mind in its infinite capacity and capability, fragments itself until all the pieces start taking unique and individual forms in contrast to each other.

Hahahaha! Well i havent danced naked in the woods yet, but with the right gal, i'd go for a skinny dip in the arctic! But i've smoked in the woods a few times, and it is very revealing to thesenses to hold a ceremonious circle of friends passing the peace pipe... I think it is more a state of mind, honoring the pipe than some magical power the plant has. Howerver, i also believe in the power of the plant I think sinfest deserves at least one star, im pretty believing he DOES practice horse stance

suninmyeyes, i have to express my cultivation style... it is a duality of sorts maybe? I practice autonomously... that is, i practice without the intent to designate a timeframe or style to cultivate... i just let it come to me, rather than seek it out myself. My only consistent practice is breathing. a Practice i (can) do all day long without cease. However, it is mostly only while my attention is not occupied that i slow my breathing and work toward relaxed autonomous internal breathing. Over time it has become more consistent and more frequent that i can do it while watching TV or playing computer games. But from the outside looking in... i dont look like i am cultivating anything except a dumb stoner buzz.

It's because the innate human need for truth drives us, even the gang bangers. we jsut cant alwys filter out the lies. that comes about from experience and wisdom. These "most girls", as i refer to them as, are genuinely seeking spiritual fulfillment, but cannot differentiate the genuine spiritual fruit from the plastic counterpart that still looks a lot the same on the surface. most people nowadays have developed a taste for plastic though... Classic example of the logical mind taking on intuitive duties... Predistiny is logical, but it is not intuitive, therefore it must be false, for in order for something to be true, it must adhere both logically AND intuitively within the mind. Delusions of logic. We are observers of the physical conditions. The physical calculations correlating with thought, action, and choice are only going toaffect the physical body, not the conscious and spiritual mind. This is where the wrench gets thrown in: Physically speaking, we exist in a predestined scenario, but our mind of minds independant of the physical brain is under no such constraints. We can literally think any random old thought without it being predestined, for the realm of thoughts are not resulting from the calculations of physics and the moving universe, but rather the source of the calculations! The mind came first, the predestiny physical experiencial timewarp is not in control of predestiny, the calculating mind is. the feeling mind experiences the calculations, but is not governed by them, only the body is.

I'm beginning to see this in my own life, but pertaining more to the weather; the harsher my day of practice, the harsher the weather on the 'morrow. however, it seems to build up before unleashing too, that I can work out real hard for three days and on the day I rest, it storms.

Well i happen to have a little inkling about preservation and breathing awareness meditation... i say we'd have to consider a few points first: One is the botanist who is here with nothing but the clothes on their back... why no edible plants? FEH... i'd give them an ear full and move on to "enlightenment". TWO! The priest can enlighten everyone to be OKAY with death and let natural selection determine the survivors here. and three, my personal contribution. im the military guy in this scenario, at the very least, i should be carrying my day pack, and it should have at LEASt a day or two's worth of rations so..... that should be enough for everyone until relief arrives. The solution is presented within the problem. Edit: okay in all fairness, i dont know how many survivors there are. iwas thinking maybe 4 or 5? 2 days of food *could* last "60" days, but the last 2 weeks would be in starvation, so water is truly the most precious commodity, and that wouldnt last long enough foreveryoen to live without drinking urine at one point on this 60 day cultivation hike! So to be FAIR, i think while i want to preserve every life, it would probbly come down to drawing straws. I would pursue the priest and botanist for everything i could get out of them to help us all, but in the end, i think someone would have to be saccrificed, and i'd be first in line for the offer.
