I'verecently undertaken "active meditation"... quite difficult to describe... sometimes i feel light headed, yet not... Basically, i am allowing myself to become autonomous and simply observe the events during this practice... The first time i was successful was very disorienting. i still get a little disoriented but i dont practice often either. I would imagine that the disorientation would jsut take getting used to is all. After i feel fulfilled, i reflect on the experience for a moment and then just continue on with my day as if nothing happened.

Wu Wei is quite central to a Philosophical Taoism. You couldnt have philosophical tao without wu wei, otherwise we'd just be calling wu wei something different. The word is more of a placeholder, but the concept is the meat and potatoes. The concept of Wu Wei encompases the bulk of philosophical taoism; to be as simple as naturally possible, but not any simpler is Wu Wei. It makes more sense if you dont think about it and just let it flow. Just do not concern yourself too much with your supposed self.

Round and round we go! Merrily, on the scientific-method-go-round. You cannot prove a false, only a true, so how can you know a false?

My point being if the data DOES exist, but no one has access, is the belief in truth still a lie?

1. the qualities of a "taoist" are irrelevant. Too diverse to be listed, too many to be quantified. To suggest any one quality is to suggest there is an opposite non-qualifying one, which, as a taoist, does not exist. 2. Exist. The sun and moon are taoist, the frogs and mosquitos, the fog and the sky, the stars and the void. Taoists. In a simplified sense. 3. asked and answered. If you do want to, you probably are already on the right path. If not, then the question is redundant. Seekers will seek. 4. I am just a Human Being, simply being Human. I am not what any path I walk allows me to call myself; i am not a sage, a taoist, a stoner, a member, a bum, or an american, but I AM A Human Being entitled to walk all paths. Therefore the question becomes "do you percieve me as a taoist, what makes you see me as such?". 5. CAN I violate any of these principals? Specifically Human Being, being Human.

BELIEF and KNOWING. i think we're arguing over semanticsat this point... What about: Belief in truth? OR Belief in Knowing. To believe does not gaurentee that the belief itself isa lie. belief could be a precursor to knowing if the belief is in truth. but then it is not a belief, but a knowing. HOWEVER, if the individual does not KNOW it is more than BELIEF, it is then the precursor to knowing.

Might not be the right word, acting in the best interest... Sure, but if wishes were riches, then beggars would rule the world. Does it matter what the name of a teaching is, or who the teacher was, if the lesson is inherently the same, the results, affects and/or effects are essentially the same, or too similar to concern distinctions? I think this is all a very important lesson, something (more) people would benefit from participating in. But the dog thing, it's irrelevant. you might as well lump your phobia of 'vicious breeds of dog' in with WMDs, a man made pandemic, and zombies.

Why not leapfrog right past science and go straight into the meat and bones of infinity? Every moment, consisting of infinite moments, every material object composed of infinite material building blocks, every sound, an infinite reverberation across an infinite span of time and space. An infinite number of categories, each category possessing an infinite omnitude of categories and sub categories, and at this point, words are meaningless. I hope you get what I am saying; why worry about what we have? Why not be grateful for it instead?

In a sense, asking the question in the first place is presenting a duality, whereas my position or opinion in the topic is closer to a matter of either carelessness, zen, or unity?
