I only get on 4 days a week sinfest, sheeeeeeesh! give me a break, i dont have net at home lol BUT, im not here to counter anyone's arguments, only to present what i have thought and considered, but you are more than welcome to debunk yourself but a few comments that i would like to address, Nomadic anarchy is my personal preference, but with at least one place as a dedicated home so i will need my own land some day. "supply base" The main reason i want the land is to help others become self sufficient as a community (on "my"/our land), and as a supplement, I could always come back and resupply my weed, hemp, and cannabis (recreational, commercial/industrial, and nutritional respectively ) and whatever otehr supplies i might need, before heading out again. BUT i have a long way to go and a LOT to learn about survival and natural resources before i am a legitamate "Nomad" but i have a good chunk of the "Zen" part down Now, as a zen nomad, in the future, i might try to take some people along and teach them that path as well but not before i learn it myself Might be a small band of nomads n_n Lots of tai chi and qi gong will happen with us -

awh some day, but not today -
maybe. or maybe the future is predetermined. Possibly, the future is only a group of potentials, like the creature path in spore; herbivore/omnivore/carnifore ---> social/adaptable/predator ----> friendly/industrious/warlike ---> religious/economic/military = X Except we have many more options, so there are like 4098^4098 possible outcomes at every passing "now". or something like that Maybe we change the future outright, maybe it's only out of possible choices. maybe it's predetermined and we're just characters in a book.

Natural flow of things? Who's king of earth? or which dog is king of the wolves? Which cow is the leader? yes, there are generally more followers than leaders, but there is no reason that potential leaders should be allowed to be squelched by their own potential followers. A follower who contributes nothing to their desired leader is a slave just as much as a person in chains. as for chi, no one cultivates chi at all, according to you, because it takes a lot of time and dedication. it's hard to do. easy once you get into it thoroughly, but hard to initiate. Anarchy is very little different than cultivating chi. -
Exploring the now, of course. there's still a lot of fog of war and im pretty sure there be dragons here.

why did creation happen according to Taoism?
Vanir Thunder Dojo Tan replied to mile83's topic in Daoist Discussion
I'm not sure if i said this already? But i thought it was worth considering as a concept, not a literal personification of the tao, though if it's an impersonification, maybe that works? Also working into "all is one and one is all" thoughtology. -
i almost never brush my teeth D: but they are in good condition, and usually pretty clean anyways. Now.... let's continue our business.

Yeah... clans and tribes, communes and gangs... as long as everyone is respecting each others' borders, or customs if they pass the borders, war would be limited to consenting areas, like we could designate a large part of the desert regions to continuous war-type practices. Again, with the "enter at your own risk" warning/mentality. You'll find me up in the mountains by a river and/or lake, growing hemp and cannabis and living off of little else -
let's jsut set aside our differences and see about trying them on before critically thinking about them without first hand experience k' so i'm really not sure where to go with this one. i've always considered everyone and everything is different, unique, and requires an equally unique approach to observing and/or evaluating (if "necessary"), since any other approach would be... inherently obstructive of the individual person, place, or thing... (which i tend to opt as all being interchangable; all persons are places made up of things, all things are persons made up of places, all places are things made up of persons... etc.)

What mention of rules are you referring to? The absence of rules isnt an absolute, mind you... but a "blank canvas" from which all forms of communal organizations and consenting communities can take root. Perhaps the only rule i can think of is "do as you will so long as it does not interfere with the free and consenting will of another". This, in its essence, permits "war zones" or "race/ist zones" that are "swim at your own risk". you consent to entering these areas as much as you consent to the entry of a swimming pool that has no life guard. I dunno, i only have a billion ideas rumbling around, but the one that stands out most is that people as individuals must be self governed if they are to enjoy any true liberty or freedom. Maybe the occupy wallstreet thing will work to our favor? -
The myth of the eight-hour sleep
Vanir Thunder Dojo Tan replied to Apech's topic in General Discussion
damn american hustle and frantic life! >.< If i could sleep properly, god would i ever! *sigh* maybe after this present chapter in my life i will acquire control over the personal power i feel that i have for so long lacked, that i may be able to dedicate my life to personal health and from there to the health of others... i like to believe it's a matter of time, but it's sure a long time in teh works... -

They also suggested somewhere along the lines that we (we the people) are responsible for repeating their efforts. What are you going to do, sit by and do nothing? Einstin had it right, that evil exists not because people do evil things but because they sit by and do nothing. What am i going to do? Whatever i can, be it spreading the word and encouraging others to work toward a genuine "for/by the people" society, or abstaining from corporate involvement weather as work or as consumer. every little bit helps, even if you're jsut growing potatoes in your back yard. Edit: I would like to add that a long term goal that may be a long ways off is to acquire a sizable piece of land with which to establish myself independently and grow food resources and hemp with which to assist others in securing their own self sufficiency, at little to no cost to them (depending on circumstances, of course). It's an idea, for now, but a goal all the same. Along the lines of this, i would willingly lend people the resources they need to establish themselves on my land so they can contribute to this idea/goal. From things like farming and ranching to teaching and charity. The more people who help out, the more they and others benefit from the work done. Not likely to become a reality for a good long while, but every little step counts. -
