I am you in another universe.
Vanir Thunder Dojo Tan replied to Informer's topic in General Discussion
It's not supposed to be clever, but literal. Infinity is innumerable. Quantity is a factor of measurement. Calling "the infinite" something like "quantum" is arbitrarily redundant. Plain and simple, you cannot quantify the infinite. If it is not redundant, then please share with me something that might be more convincing that what i have presented here. -
Wow, china paints a pretty retarded self portrait. To put it simply, whever there is governed population, there is corruption, mental illness, unnecessary disease, and immorality. China, Afganistan, Somalia, Turkey, England, Brazil, U.S.A., it doesnt matter, it makes no difference, the PEOPLE will never be prosperous so long as they allow themselves to be governed, or think they must govern others. They cant stop something popular from becoming... well... popular elsewhere. True Taoism will remain, regardless of how thgey try to squelch it from the rest of the world, or their own country. This world is, as always, headed straight down the drain.

Hmm i like what it says about immortals ascending through a path of immortality, human-earth-spirit-celestial. I didnt read it all, but do wonder if, as i suspect through reincarnating, ghosts can also continuate their immortality...?

I cannot attribute the teachings to the teacher, for the truth preceeds it's bearer, however, i can provide my top 5 practices and let you attribute a teacher silently or otherwise 1. top o' da list be Mindful Breath Awareness; meditation and/or activity. 2. Yoga/Taijiquan/Qi Gong/Tantra i lump these together for a reason that could warrant a thread all it's own. 3. Martial arts from fighting to cleaning the house up and everything in between, including but not limited to: Painting, Cooking, Video Games, Debate, Conversation, & Philosophical wonderings. 4. Walking/jogging/running/sprinting. 5. Sleep. believe it or not.

The intuitive truth is all too obvious to the logical mind for me not to know it. But i have also spent over a decade immersing myself within the thought and idea of infinite. All Encompasing Infinitissimal Omniversal Unity. It's all there, at all times. It cannot be any other way, lest should one ingredient of "infinite infinity" be removed, all ingredients would be removed, and we could not be having this discussion at all. -
Taomeow, that's some very critical stuff you're talking about. I dont know much, but i do know that i classify to some extents as having been deprived as a child. to what extents, i am unsure, however, they can be overcome if it is recognized in the individual, over time, but it is not easy. by no measure can it be related to 'ease'. The difficulty is great, regardless of what tools are available to aide you. I am lucky to have a "second family" that is presently helping me with a lot of personal progress, getting on my own two feet, and into college and the like, however, it makes no difference shortly, in that the effort put into letting go of what i needed but never had is mentally demanding and exhausting. Without their help, i'd have quit on myself a long time ago. It's simply too hard. But it is also as unnatural as it is difficult. These are things that nu human should have to go through, but like all things, the harder the challenge, the greater the benefit in the result of success. Even in spite of my losses as an baby/toddler, i have certain levels of mental and emotional maturity that people whom i know that had the 'sweet love' as infants and toddlers which they lack. It isnt a whole encompasment, but one of many ingredients in the development of the human being.

This is (my) 11 year old mindful wanderings... From my perspective this is a joke, something as obvious and plain as the nose on your face (or the blood in your body, for the nose impaired), and should come about quite easily with or without the quantum idea. Rather, the quantum idea comes about from the ponderings of infinity. "Quantum" is just a redundant name applied to infinity by "science". If this were proven to be true, what? It hasnt affected us in the past, and should bear no realistic effects thereafter. The psychological affects are merely psychosomatic... and inevitable thereafter. How would it, then, affect us? -
Gently focus on the breath, and concentrate on breathing. When the mind slips, gently guide it back when you become aware that it has strayed from the breath. Do not force it, but let it be. When the mind becomes attached to a thought (object) let it run it's course. If you become aware that it is no longer focused on the breath, simply remind it to concentrate, and let it return easily and effortlessly. Practice makes perfect, but nobody can be perfect, thus we must continually practice, for that is perfection; the pursuit thereof. There are no overnight masters, but there are those in pursuit of mastery. Patience is the key. if you take it too hard, too fast, too much, too often, you will find that progress is too slow. If you take to it casually and as though recreationally, you will find yourself unconcerned with progress, and more intent on practice.

Hmmm what was it I posted... and where...? Something longer, i'll reiterate: I am not what my activities entitle me to call myself, but a Human Being, entitled to engage in all activities. Human Beings are representitives of the nothingness... WHEN they are BEING human. We are always too busy being whatever our activities entitle us: Police, Soldier, Sports star, Fighter, Grocer, Teacher, Student, etc. Mindful breath awareness meditation. YAY!

One thing to keep in mind is dont try to "get better" or "master it quickly". To some it might seem like an absurd repetition to bring that up, but it is easily missed, forgotten, or ignored. The best results come from a more, or less, casual approach. Dedicated as a hardcore gamer, but as casual as much too. It is greatly beneficial, but it cannot be treated like work, or that's all it becomes.

Staying within bounds of law and peaceful protest, petitions, and lobbying. But as far as my eyes can see, this accomplishes nothing when up against big dollars and/or red tape. Revolutionary solutions are too easily corruptible and susecptible to violence and/or (civil)war. A sit-out wouldnt work well, unless a vast majority of indivioduals participated willingly. and anything other than willingly would effectively fail. not many people are willing to abandon the epic constructs of the corporations to accomplish a sit-out. Thus violence would sooner, rather than later, follow. {edit:} The overall answer, which i forgot to mention, is essentially self sufficency and interdependent community. Only in a society which does not require trade to acquire necessary goods and resources can prosperity flourish, thrive, or even stagnate. Without self sufficency, prosperity declines and/or dies. In an interdependent society, everyone who is self sufficent will inevitably gain surpluses which they cannot consume by themselves, thus are able to share at inexpensive rates. Everyone who is not self sufficent can work for those who are and eventually become prosperous even without self sufficency. In a nation who cannot keep it's resources to itself and further must trade for resources, it/they/we belong to our benifactors. (America: Made in China) {/edit:}

Taoism & Anarchism

The (legitmate) solution is arbitrarily wrapped up in so much red tape, that there is no "legitmate" solution. What now?

Net Neutrality Is Under Attack... Again
Vanir Thunder Dojo Tan replied to DalTheJigsaw123's topic in General Discussion
The aim is to keep it that way. If any one individual or entity gains control or ownership of the internet, a great deal of it's contents get flushed away. You are no longer free to view or surf to your heart's desire. The tao bums? gone. Porn? strictly limited to, most likely, playboy. Flash games? Only in promotion of whatever the individual or entity is trying to sell. Email? No privacy from the owner(s). Activity? outside, not online! LOL who's gonna surf except the dismally desperate, if the only things available are strictly limited and heavily moderated? ... The dismally desperate. -
Taoism & Anarchism
Vanir Thunder Dojo Tan replied to Harmonious Emptiness's topic in Daoist Discussion
Fair enough. So all that is left is the waiting game. Sooner or later, then, we must have to encounter some more prime examples of Anarchy in public display. Then, i think, we would have to join in and contribute. Just a matter of time now. -
If north = top, south = bottom, the earth, then, rotates counter clockwise, and rotating clockwise, against the flow, creates grounding and firm rooting... no? Question: If the intuition is granted sufficient focus, practice, energy, and commitment, is it sufficent alone to cultivate mastery in any otherwise unknown field?

Mind/body/emotion/spirit is our united being. First 3, known, i assume. Spirit is an avatar of the unity of the first three. It is, in essence, what we do. Think of it as being recorded onto film, everything we do is on that film, thus the film becomes our spirit, or perhaps merely entraps it, like framing a picture. The aliveness of our being is our spirit. the interactions we have within our community, environment, and world are our spirit. The spirit is an avatar, a representation of who and what we are, presented through what we do and how we interact with the universe in every way we do, conscious or not.

Get Ready for a New Human Species!
Vanir Thunder Dojo Tan replied to DalTheJigsaw123's topic in General Discussion
Master the chi, become a zen master of whatever belief you hold true, and above all, continue the teachings of the intrinsic energy. If the fan meets it's ammo, we'll at least be prepared to defend the storm. That's all we can do. Self preservation, yes? -

DNA Evidence Rocks the Boat
Vanir Thunder Dojo Tan replied to Immortal4life's topic in The Rabbit Hole
Fair enough, but i would like to ask then, what definition of "race" do you have? you almost seem to suggest "species". Just a thought in wonderment. But i will leave it with that. Im not here to argue, but to try to clairify as well as possible.
