The zeitgeist movement - even your parrot can spread the word

This is all of what you said on the twentysecond of september: Why all the silly questions? I don't need your jetpack. I don't need to become radiation-proff. Define "humanistic" for me. What is the matter with free trade? ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Everything i typed after that was in response. I made one reference to something you said about corn and rice, in response to someone else. I've not added any words to your mouth. -
Movement creates friction, friction generates heat. Exercise your body! When i was freezing my backside off in chicago, waiting for a bus, i stood erect, back straight, and "lifted" my core/abs. i held it as firmly and as long as possible, and sure enough, it warmed me up. Biting cold when the wind blows is hard to resist, but that's what running/jogging is for! MOVE! Out here in the desert, im faced with an opposite: I don't know how to cool myself in this heat! Maybe Mal can give me some tips?

In duality, let there be a third place where we can repose in the nothing, for it is from there where we might gain perspective of the this-or-that, or the good versus bad. Be it as it may, we are experiencing duality, but we need not experience duality, so long as we can take the time out of our experience to see the nothing in between moments, the void that fills those gaps between experiences. Because of the nothing inbetween the tiniest of spaces, duality exists. Inside and beside, and all around the nothing; Because of the duality that occupys space, there must be "a nothing". Inside, beside, and all around the duality.

So i have been trying to breathe deeper and longer, i've begun holding my breath and trying to breathe from the lower abdomen. In many cases, if i am holding my breath and pushing it down to my lower abdominal area, i get light headed and enter a sort of out-of-body feel, as though i have vacated my body and "see-feel" undefined.... "isness" in my vision and perhiphery. As i hit this "high", i almost always feel like i am about to fall over or lose control of my body and collapse, and it has happened before too. My question is weather or not this is a good or bad thing, or if it should just be moderated heavily. All things are good in moderation and harmful in excess, but what of this in particular? Thank you in advance.

LOL It sure doesnt "feel" disciplined! But the results are obvious to me, now that i have seen my physical improvements! Kind of a funny story actually: I've always been very skinny and up until this last 2 years, hardly any muscle or definition thereof. The other day while exhausted from walking all day, i went into the library bathroom and lifted my shirt, because i had a side ache and i guess i wanted to just make sure all was well, and i was shocked to see the level of definition my muscles had taken on! I dont normally keep tabs on my body like that, so it was a sudden surprise to me That is proof enough to me that chi cultivation practice works, and well-even if you hardly know what you're doing! just as long as you continually are DOING it. -
Cheese burger and fries. Ooh! Maybe a milkshake too! Dangit! I'm hungry!

Thoughts, energy, interconnectedness

Once upon a time, there lived a container of peace yogurt. Along I happened to stroll and acquired this tub of yogurt. It tempted me to devour it, but before opening it, I decided to observe it's exterior more closely. I read upon it aloud: "Contains live cultures." and musing, as i opened the lid, i said "helloooo...? Anyone in th-" but before i could finish my muse, the yogurt leapt out at me in minute quantities and spit all over my upper lip and nose. Laughing, i threatoned to get my revenge. Well, it wasnt a joke cuz i ate the sucker! The End. -

Tribal people often hold a potlatch or potluck wherein everyone who has excess gives away to those who need more. A good example of what you speak of. As for barter, it is almsot inevitable that people will trade goods and servaces for goods and servaces as needed or desired. Perhaps I've got a Wii with all the trimmings: every classic NES game, all the best SNES games, and a handful of high quality N64 titles all on the console. Say the next guy over wants to get a crack at my games, but in the new world, no one can be arsed to maintain the wifi features, let alone downloading all these awesome games. That puts my conmsole at a desirable tier. Maybe i'll rent it out to him for some bacon The point being that there will always be "someone" who will acquire "something" that isnt readily available to all others. So we'll find ways to share. Money doesnt leave a lot of room for sharing when fictious debt is created so readily and rapidly. We will have a difficult-to-impossible time adjusting to free-for-all-resources. Many things are not necessities, and we will barter for and of them. {edit:}Oh, and marbles... check out page three if you doubt my responses are relevant to your words PLUS, you take barter out of context and try to apply it to a monetary system. that's retarded, no offense. In barter, we trade goods on an as-needed basis. $400 of ANYTHING is a redundant oxymoron in barter, because a default value no longer applies. PLUS, in barter, we eliminate the need for many economic "necessities" such as long distance travel, offices-generally speaking, banks, and 'hoarding' resources. PLUS, in barter, we generally have to become self sufficient and learn to grow our own food and slaughter our own animals, or forage and hunt. In barter, dear marblehead, we live off the earth like Human beings, and not off the system like civilians. {/edit} -

Well most of my examples were pure rhetoric, but they outline a point. You're intentionally missing the point, arent you? Humanistic is that which supports the collective human prosperity. It is what aids the collective human species in thriving, more than just surviving. Free trade has an inherent flaw, which you almost arrogantly outlined yourself in the corn to rice ratio. Corn and rice, having individual values based on supply and demand are no different than having individual values based on need and greed. So you value one over the other based on the value of the dollar, based on supply and demand, or you value one over the other based on your needs, based on your supplies. WHAT'S THE REAL DIFFERENCE? Well, if free trade were truly free, one would not be universally required to rely on one type of barter or another, I.E. cash or product. What's wrong with barter? what's the real and significant difference? (there's no room for fictious debt in barter) -

I find what i can when i can. This morning @ the 'old woman meteor' museum, which is closed for rennovations till november, i sat in quite peace and waited for the sun to rise, and i can go back out there later if i need to get out of the buzz of society for some more practice, but there's no shade and 100+ degree weather is harsh when i dont know how to use chi to feel cold -

No, my problem relies on finances and free time. No job, no money, no food, no free time to spend cultivating. Right now, i live with friends of the family. In exchange for food and a place to sleep 89% of my ("free") time is spent watching the kids, cleaning up when and where needed, taking care of the dogs, and when Mike goes to work 3-4 days a week, unless i am needed around the house, i am here in barstow "looking for work"... Which is my ONLY "free" time. When at the house, if i am doing anything for myself, i tend to get in trouble. No sitting and cultivating, or standing in stillness, it's wasting "my" time and "more importantly" theirs. With a lack of options, either that or homelessness and even LESS food, I cannot help but argue your theory HOWEVER, once i get a job and moved out, i will have the ability, for the first time since I got kicked to the streets from my dad's house (for not having an income), to make my own damned scheduel and cultivate consistently. The only opportunities i have ever had so far have been during times of homelessness (and mild starvation!), so i'd like to maintain something more stable first and worry about consistency afterward. -

Inspiring Now: "Empty Force" Qi Gong "Into" now: All manner of Qi/Chi cultivation and sharing. Why: Long story short: Infinity/eternalness; ("The") All Encompassing Infintisimal Omniversal Unity (of all things). Elaboration: At a young age (11-13) my mind dove "head" first into the deep end of infinity, allowing endless ideas to rise and fall and circulate and take form. I pondered deeply and often on the nature of reality, existence, the universe, the world, and life, and found connections in and through these ideas/places, that there are no "disconnecteds". In short, the smallest most infintisimally small point is the mirror image of, or more exactly no different than/identical to, the most infintisimally large area/feild/point. ... and that they build each other in a sort of "loop with no beginning or end", where even in transversing from smallest to largest one does not come "full circle" but goes infinitely on forward... and yet where circular paths can still exist. I dabble in "learn by experience, and explore it all for yourself" and would reccomend it to everyone who wishes to advance further than the books and teachers can guide them through, for as in all teachings, it is upon the individual to take the steps forward. This method is by no means intended to cut out the "middle man", the books and teachers, but to expound upon them on your own efforts, rather than waiting for the lessons concerning the questions, by just diving into the deep end of infinity. -

Dilligent, i expect i will never stop practicing... Consistency... Well, at least one thing is consistent, that i practice in a highly inconsistent manner! But this, I feel, is a more balanced approach, the yin/yang, neither all, nor nothing.
