well the last 3 days have been productive. did horse stance for 15 minutes straight last night!!!! my record, so far Night before, i found the school on S st. empty, so i did some circle walking for about 10 minutes on my way home from the library, and this morning, i did 50 pushups all at once, though that hardly counts as DOING bagua but it's auxiliary, right? -

I'm a wee bit on the proud side even if it wasnt squat (which i did a few yesterday ) i squeezed in a few minutes in the living room the day before and did some circle walking. even if it wasnt more than maybe 5 minutes, i did it, and i feel good about that. Yesterday i tried to get back into a routine and pulled off about 10 minutes of slow deep squats before another 10 minutes of fanzhang Also, what Monk Drinks Wine said there, i need to stop thinking of it as a chore! and since i noticed im not meditating anymore, i gotta get back into that too! But at least the momentum is building back up!!! -

im not sure how much i am practicing, proper, since i keep walking with my weight sunk. walked a whole mile with consistent sinking, but only about a quarter of it was done slow, last night. But it was cold, and i wanted to get in bed ASAP!!! havent done Fan Zhang in about 2 days though and i am itching to do circle walking, but havent overcome the need for solitude... i lost count of my days -
i test it all the friggin time! How else do you think i have been banned... repeatedly...?

I dont know the gist of it, much less specifics, but is it still considered "just an insult" if the insulting speech is also literally true?

yesterday was pathetic, and barely made it up to 5 minutes :\ im calling it 5 anyways but i made up for it with walking today. made sure to stay low and sunk and keep my roots down; every time i caught myself not feeling sunk, i'd sink lower, but i cant say if i was catching myself floating up or jsut getting too comfortable and not sunk low enough Plus 10 minutes of standing waiting for the library to open, i did a light and gentle horse stance so basically, not good enough, but still doing, and that's what's important, right? -
Time may be one thing, but it is multi-faceted and infinitesimal. Every instance of marblehead is unique and different and yet all the same, marblehead. We merely know THIS marblehead, but his future is entirely in his own hands to choose from the infinitesimal marbleheads "waiting-to-become-yet-already-are". I have yet to come into the perspective of finite reality/time required to believe we have no free will. Life is much like a movie, with endings that gives purpose to its beginnings, but it is much more like a videogame, with an infinite number of endings each player can discover from the choices they make through each incarnation.

The Tao of breathing
Vanir Thunder Dojo Tan replied to IntuitiveWanderer's topic in General Discussion
oh yes, Qi Gong, perhaps, but i thought this was strictly about the tao of breathing itself, regardless of style, or practice I dont mean to say it prevents fatigue, only that the exposure to it would increase one's personal tolerance of fatigue. Endurance build up.- 29 replies

10 min of fan zhang on thursday and a bit of limbering up lazily. no timeframe on that, just a general all-day stretching lightly. not even a real effort :\ but i can touch my toes again today Nothing doing friday, totally took the day off shame on me lol but excuses and reasons. Today, i had to see if i could still touch my toes, so that's initiating more fanzhang later this evening n_n maybe i'll even find a spot to walk the circle! i have to get over my "witnessesses phobia" and just practice transparently in the park. .... not gonna happen, i need my secluded spot!!! -
Your drill sergeant would be furious if you said that to him, eh?

The Tao of breathing
Vanir Thunder Dojo Tan replied to IntuitiveWanderer's topic in General Discussion
Just as the four seasons are required for healthy life, so too are the four phases of breath. You arent wrong, but consider that deep breathing can be achieved by breath retention. Every time you "test" your breath level, you are also subsequently increasing it. Regulation of the breath retention/deprivation is just as necessary as regulating the inhale and exhale. Hyperventilation is good for aerobics, and hypoventilation for anerobics. By saturating the system with oxygen you create a sort of insulation between your organs and muscles from fatigue. By depriving the system of oxygen, you expose it to exhaustion and thereby improve its resistance to fatigue.- 29 replies

Inhale, retain, exhale, relax. Inhale, relax, exhale, deprive. retention and deprivation are both "holding" the breath, either in or out.- 29 replies

i'm using my free will to get back on topic, but the overwhelming inertia of this thread is preventing my success. Such is the nature of probability and potentiality.

"let go" is an active choice that suggests i am in control of these emotions. I would let go, but they wont leave. -

i chose to respond with minimal approach. should i have chosen to respond to every item and element of your previous post? why?

when you (free will) choose (/free will) to pursue (genuine) Truth (/genuine), your beliefs are in a nearly constant state of flux. I want the EM fields removed, just to see and say what happened. first hand. Anyways, i cannot disbelieve free will until i am genuinely unable to make any choices or decisions.

an image wood knot ... imagine that you would not the wood knot would not.

People generally choose to alter their beliefs based on conditions taht they believe are relevant to the refinement of their own decision-making. Free will is not only decision making, it is cultivation as well.
