bnlah blah blah blah... have a single thought. Do it. no, don't stare at me like im crazy, though the thoughts involved DO qualify, just work with me a moment, plese. Think something. with deliberation, have a thought. Didja? Did ya do it? Yer done? You had a thought? POW!!! INFINITE UNIVERSES, EXPERIENCES, GALAXIES, WORLD, PEOPLE. you just created them with that single thought. you are responsible for far much more than you can ever know. than I can ever know. the mundane daily grind which you worry about on a daily basis I take for granted, those thoughts you wield on a daily basis which you take for granted are holy and sacred reality altering relics to me.

Kung Fu Hustle. In that case Kung Fu Hustle is funny, but it touches firmly, yet gently on some very core principals of the human spirit... What Dreams May Come. A truly inspiring film about life after death and life after life.

Alex Anatole on Politics and Social Action
Vanir Thunder Dojo Tan replied to redfarmer's topic in Daoist Discussion
This touches on the skin tight surface of how society has bred a reliance and expected entitlement on, in, and of "convenience" and instant gratification... Which follows backward to the advice to remain non-partisan in civil, social, political, and governing activities, as they are self destructive "necessary" (only by opinion) "Evils" (again, close opinions of the third kind). -
Alex Anatole on Politics and Social Action
Vanir Thunder Dojo Tan replied to redfarmer's topic in Daoist Discussion
It is simply best to avoid participation in civil, social, political, and other governing affairs, as you can be held at fault for the victimization that results of said CSPG affairs. ALL CSPG affairs result in creating victims in an effort to solve other individuals' problems. Participation in such affairs puts you as a guilty party in the victimization of "collateral damage" recipients. Civilization cannot exist without causing collateral damage. Paying "your" taxes makes you mutually responsible for the affairs of your CSPG groups, and is contradicting the stance that one should refrain from participation. This is the only problem I have with the sentiment, is his inconsistency in advice. -
My imagination has almost always been a much more engaging and mystifying experience than any books or movies available to me... and even in the event that I find myself enjoying a movie profusely, is more often than not a comedy... not that I cant be funny >.> edit: event > vent

meditate in lieu of sleep? Sitting meditation for 8 hours.... pretty hard core, if nothing else, right? -

fair enough... there's no knowing one way or the other. However, I find it hard to believe that there is any genuine improvement in modern lifestyles than "old fashioned" or "primitive" or "country" or "tribal" lifestyles... rather, I tend to consider the "modern" era unhealthy as fuck.

my bias is and always has been omniversiality.... but no one seems to care to consider it... such a shame...

IT CAN BE done, yes, but the problem is in how much more difficult it would be today than it was 25hundred-ago. 2500 years ago we might have had a 1% population reaching enlightenment as opposed to maybe a 0.25% population now... 1% of a smaller population might be fewer people, but it is a greater quality... Life quality is not improving from 2500 years ago, there's just more of us living longer, but the life qualities aren't worth the extended life span!!!

"New age" is a catch phrase designed to inspire deliberate thoughts and thought-perspectives. There's Buddhism and then there's "new age" Buddhism. There's Christianity, and there's "new age" Christianity. If you aren't following the orthodox, then you are "new age". that's about all it boils down to. Frankly, new age, old age, orthodox, or hippie, whatever works is whatever works. the social factor is ridiculous: /thread

First of all, a Link (pun intended) to the blog I have hosting my work. A Legend of Zelda Story. The original Subtitle was "Spirit Link" but that tapered off with "spirit Tracks" being an official game... too similar. Now it's Hylian Hearts... and I hope its a better name too. but not certain yet. Now that I forgot why I was posting this here... oh yeah! Seems to be taking off! It was only last month that I had 90 some odd page views from America and 1 page view, at most, everywhere else in the world... and not even everywhere. Well after telling it to stop tracking my OWN page views, it went down to 60 some odd... but..! Today its up to 90 again, AND in RUSSIA!? So... I guess The Legend of Zelda is popular in Russia, huh? I dunno, you tell me... hah... But it seems I have a story that is receiving attention for once...! Wish me luck! ... And enjoy the story if this is /your thing/ too

So I heard about this thing called Facebook...
Vanir Thunder Dojo Tan replied to Aaron's topic in The Rabbit Hole
Cats tried to take over ancient Egypt. they even enslaved humans to sculpt giant statues in their image. when the humans rebelled, they put their own face on the giant cat and named it "sphinx" which, loosely translated, means: "Go find your own damn litter box!" Cats are taking over America now. -

people do not require a corralling and pasture to be led to. that behavior is not fit for animals, much less the men who inflict it. -

To begin, hi. How are you? Hope all is well... it's a wonderful thought I've just had immediately... not 2 minutes ago. Musical inspiration, in fact... devouring that potentiality... I realized it so suddenly... devouring that potential. a literal thought... a satisfying sensation... I was consuming the music. We were digesting... Alchemy is a matter of mutual digestion, is it not? Consuming the impurities between the yin and the yang subtle and present bodies, refining the yin and the yang. Refining the subtle and the evident bodies. All persons, places, and things engaged in mutual digestion. But outside of a freak accident or exposure to the elements, nothing really eats humans. right? Wrong! Humans eat the flesh of animals; to the animal the greatest joy would then to be useful as to feed many, and their sacrifice be useful, never wasted. But we have no genuine predators in the flesh to consume our bodies, instead we have subtle predators which consume our creative and inspired expressions of self and willpower. It is then that a composer, writer, or director would sacrifice their time and effort to produce a quality meal of entertainment and recreational activity... to take pride in our sacrifice and effort being able to sate the appetites of subtle bodies. Just as it is from the labors of living that we derive essential resources from our environment, so too is it from our creative labors that the essence of the gods is extracted.
