...and I disagree with all of you Religion is sort of a keeper of humanity's spirituality and religious leaders feel like they are in charge of spiritual advancement of their underlings, if I may call them that. It's like a big collection of smart and stupid people who have answers, or think they do, to questions that normal folk has and the normal folk relies on these people for help. The problem happens when there are too many of these dumb people mixed up with the bunch that makes it impossible to get anything coherent out of them, and to figure out which one is the smart one and which one is going to make you read some book until your eyes bleed then send you out to live like a bum in the name of something greater. This sounds terrible and confusing but it could be worse, like when people seek out spirituality so much that they destroy it all together just because there is a 80 year old insane man screaming profanities on the side of the road somewhere in the US. The whole thing seems out of control but its still could get better if everyone could calm down and listen to each other. There are religions that can give up on being the one and only and become like an upgrade for what a person already knows. Religion is a sort of upgrade after all, there are people with their own experience that know a lot and when they throw away their ego, they can put themselves in the shoes of other people who tried to do the same thing and succeeded or at least went a little further.

I mostly think of myself as someone who speaks only two languages since I never use the third one So I decided for laughs to looks up online "learn Belarusian" and I see a site with all that grammar stuff and I slowly remember the right pronunciation for things and how to read them Then it hits me, I speak Belarusian but I don't actually speak it so to understand it I just need to hear it and I will understand everything Kinda funny since Belarusian was the hardest class in school and I always had the worst grades and I skipped a lot since I was going to fail anyway but now I just understand everything So many things are probably hidden somewhere in my memory that could be called upon from the outside, I wonder if there's something more then that in there.

Let's take a break from the shamanic talk and come back to this This is the first chapter I saw so let's use as an example of what I meant in the other thread My interpretation: After an event, a scar/mark/something that says that the event happened, is left behind Let's say it's a horrible scar or an illness that appeared because of a cause A normal person would curse it and try to remove it but sage knows about the tao and in a way can predict it, but for some reason the scar is still left on the sage I can think of three things from this Going with the flow, the sage could have avoided the event but he allowed it to happen and didn't curse it because that would make it worse so instead he is letting it go and chi keeps flowing, and since chi keeps flowing, something good can happen. To understand this better, replace the word scar with word experience. Some people could keep thinking about the bad experience while others learn from it and allow others learn and chi of knowledge keeps moving. It doesn't matter, you think something bad happened now and it's horrible. The sage would realize what he was given and being a part of the flow now, he allows it to be because this is not over yet. This one even may seem important now but "the way of heaven has no favorites" so the sage knows about the big picture. Wu Wei, all above can be described as pointers for understanding wu wei and I shouldn't be explaining that to you at this point and these are my numerous things I got from this one chapter, I bet if I sat a little longer thinking about this I could think of more edit: oh, and by the way, doesn't this whole philosophical explanation sound a little bit shamanic?
