How about manga? My favorite manga is Shaman King It starts off kinda weak, like other shonen mangas would, but later it EVOLVES and asks more serious questions. http://www.mangareader.net/138/shaman-king.html There is a Taoist there named Ren but he's a hothead and Yoh acts more like a Taoist should
