I hear you YMWong, you have made a worthy observation. Do you think Gossamer should make a contribution, however small it is, to the process? You have the right to have and express this opinion. The question is: "Where is the healing really coming from here? Is it Mak Tin Si alone? Or is it the united surge of loving kindness shown unselfishly by all those who have committed their intention?" Yes the surface issues are Gossamer's PC problems. But is that really where the problem lies? As I have mentioned over in the Magic thread, if you want to change the physical reality of your life then change the fundamental elements of perception that created this physical reality. That is the true direction of this working, not just to resolve the superficial symtoms but to deliver a deep heart level healing that will sweep through and resolve all the obstructions and difficulties. And here also is the truth of the matter. Gossamer isn't the only one being healed, because such a uniting of love that you witness here emanates out and provides nourishment for all involved. I can truly admit that participating in this has benefited me immensely and on many levels, even if it just getting the satisfaction that I have done something to try and help someone else's lot in life. So regardless of what you think of Mak Tin Si, if you believe in your own Taoist 'magic', if you believe in the power of intention, and if you believe that a united expression of love from a group of developed beings can effect positive change in the world then there should be no barriers in the way of you joining us on the Honour List. Mak Tin Si may be the brush strokes on the paper, but the real power comes from the vibrant virtue shining forth from these generous TaoBum hearts. So what say you YMWong? Do we have your commitment? UPDATE: I want to personally thank once again to all those who have stepped forward to express their virtuous spirit in this matter. Please excuse my delay in progressing this venture to the next step but a couple of questions arose that demanded careful consideration. My concerns where to evaluate whether this was truly for the highest good of everyone involved. As you know I have contacted everyone who has expressed their support to hear how everyone felt about this matter. I was heartened by the response of solidarity from each and every one of you. To set my thoughts to rest I consulted the I Ching to guide me further in this matter. Here is the result: 40 ~ hsieh ~ Thunder over Water ~ Dissolution of the problem GUIDANCE: "The friendly direction is the Southwest, from whence comes the strength of dissolution. If one wishes to go forward in a new, correct way, early movement brings good fortune." In this hexagram, Thunder is above Water. Although Water in the form of ice is the obstacle, Thunder has the strength to break through it. The first sound of Thunder in Spring proclaims the time of melting ice. Thus, a promising time is beginning, like a breeze coming from the warm Southwest. After obstruction comes resolution. The guidance of the previous hexagram, Obstruction, is to keep still and gather energy, but Hsieh indicates that the obstructive force has started to diminish and a new cycle is beginning. This is the right time to positively dissolve all problems. Personal Fortune: This is the time for you to cheer up, take action and get out of difficulty. ~~~ The signifying line in this Hexagram was Line 5: "Dissolution is brought about by the virtuous one. His faithfulness makes the negative forces recede." The fifth line unites with the second line in order to resolve the great problem of removing negativity. Only by being faithful to each other can a cooperative solution to the problem be discovered. True it is that Taiji can be applied as a grappling style. However if the art is not well rounded with the four categories then it is not complete. These four are: kicking (Ti), striking (Da), wrestling (Shuai), and catching and locking (Na).

Can't comment of BJJ ... but Taiji and Systema work a treat!
