  1. The Ultimate Fu Is....

I truly respect the depth and breadth of your knowledge, the service you provide is a blessing to society. I also recognise that it is very hard to discuss the internal work on a public forum like this because Nei Tan should really be conducted under close supervision of a Master as you have been correctly saying. This leaves us talking mostly of Wei Tan, external medicine, which to the casual observer could create the misperception that the external methods are representative of the whole tradition of Tao. In my studies and experience a major goal along the way is for the practitioner to bring about and maintain the spiritual sovereignty of their True Nature. When one achieves Chen Tao, the attainment of Tao, then one is imbued with the full resource of Universal Nature. One becomes a completely self-determined and self-reliant being whose existence and experience is a natural emanation of their spiritual accomplishment. True it is, when we first embark on the journey, that we may first need to shift our dependence onto some reliable teaching and spiritual assistance like your lineage and the Fu service you provide. But only so long as to establish firm roots into one's own True Nature and learn spiritual independence. Blessings,

    An excellent find! Well done!
  4. The Ultimate Fu Is....

All mishaps and misfortunes are the symptoms of an internal deviation from one's true nature. In my view, if you try and fix all the symptoms you will be chasing your tail indefinately. Far better perhaps to cure the 'illness' at its core and reunite with one's true nature. All deviations will naturally disappear.
  5. Virtue is...

It is as you say. Which is why virtues need to work integrally with other virtues, especially prudence or forethought.

  8. Positive vs. Negative Energy Projection

I appreciate your thoughtfulness on this topic Quan Xie. Here are a few of my thoughts from Virtue is... ~~~ "In traditional schools of Tao virtue, or de, is the natural expression of one who has achieved Tao. Once all the coarse elements of one's personality have been sublimated the raw essence that remains is one's true personality or nature. Thus the practice of virtue is not 'adding' anything at all but rather an excavation to the root and core or one's being and letting 'de' naturally and effortlessly permeate all of our thoughts, words and actions." ~~~ "I can understand that, if our ideal is to become indistinct and indescribable, then having any features detracts away from this ideal. I have learned that achieving self-nature is the art and science of one who journeys Tao and that self-nature and universal nature are the same. Virtue and nature are so closely linked that they are one. So in my view, one of self-nature operates in tune with their nature, and hence universal nature, thus all expressions will be imbued with virtue." ~~~ "Virtue should not be considered as an artificial system of morals or ethics. It is the spontaneous expression of one's personality when one is living true to one's nature. It is the healthy emanation of a wholesome being."

    There you go
  11. Magic

Totally depends on your definition of 'magic'. For instance, the original act of translating the great changes into the I Ching triagrams could be seen as a stupendous act of magic. And I consider the Taijitu, the symbolic representation of Yin and Yang to be one of the most potent talismatic characters known to humanity. But I do respect your particular point of perception in this matter. Blessings,

  15. A good friend of mine has asked me about "the difference between buddhism and taoism as far as enlightment goes". I have not really studied Buddhism in depth so I could not answer with great assistance. So I am looking for more perspective. From a Taoist point of view: "The process of spiritual attainment proceeds through six phases or levels, beginning with personality refinement and conscious refinement and culminating in becoming Tao. Step One: Chi refinement and Natural Meditation as the cultivation of chi. Step Two: Teh Tao: Receiving or discovering the path and learning the Tao. Step Three: Wu Tao: Enlightened by Tao. Step Four: Ming Tao: Lucidified with Tao. Step Five: Teh Tao: Gaining Tao, and Tao also gains you. You live beyond your personal cares. Step Six: Chen Tao: Attaining Tao. Your physical presence gradually merges with the invisible reality of Tao, but you are still able to respond, if you choose, and appear in form. You have achieved spiritual immortality, not physical immortality in the ordinary sense of a life that needs to eat, sleep, and pay taxes." Does a flower 'create' it's fragrance or is it a natural emanation of it's innateness?
  20. I appreciate your comments wrathful immortal
  21. Quite true ... in my experience and learning the 'correct' way to 'fix' such excessive desire is to learn how to maintain one's energy in the right manner. i.e. Keeping one's energy calm and centred in the lower Tan Tien.
